My Werewolf System Chapter 1401

The werewolves had listened carefully to Ylva, and now, each group had split off, heading toward different sections of the park. They weren't just chasing randomly, they knew exactly where the enemies were hiding. And alongside them weren't only werewolves, but members of the Iron Fang as well, sprinting through the trees with purpose. Luzen had separated from the others just before they reached the pack. That left Slit, along with Ylva's trusted right-hand werewolf, the one known for its vicious iron maw. Ylva watched with satisfaction, a faint smile forming as she saw her loyal follower sprint off with the rest of the pack. "Galark, will you be joining the fight?" Ylva asked, her eyes not leaving the battlefield in motion. "I will not," Galark replied calmly. "This is a battle between two Alphas. I'm only here to report what happens." "Right. Then just make sure you include this in your report…" Ylva said, resting both hands at her side. "That I, Ylva, was a key factor in the Lupus Pack securing victory in this war." Suddenly, a heavy shadow loomed above them. Jumping through the air, a massive figure landed squarely between the two. The impact sent a deep thud into the ground. Solid. Weighty. It was Lupus himself. "I can smell so many in this area…" Lupus growled. "But where is she? Where is the other Alpha? And where are the rest of the pack members?" She had never seen him , so excited for battle. "It appears Gary must be using some kind of scent-blocker," Ylva observed. "That's why we can't pinpoint his location. Most of the area smells like humans or Altered. Who knows, he might even be hiding." "No," Lupus snarled, shaking his head. "He's not hiding. I can feel him. I know he's close. I just don't know where. But I'll find him, and when I do, I'll end this." And just like that, Lupus bolted off, dashing into the trees, chasing whatever trail his instincts could lock onto. One of the strongest werewolves alive was now freely roaming the park, hunting. A dangerous thought in itself. "I don't like that look in his eyes," Galark said. "What, the look of someone who finally wants to fight?" Ylva responded. "I've seen that fire in him before." "Correct," Galark said, narrowing his eyes. "But never in a situation . This has always been a sensitive topic for him. He was hesitant about meeting the Howlers after the full moon. But now? He decides to act, and it's like he's eager to fight." "It doesn't feel like the same Lupus who always put the Pack before his own desires. And he still hasn't said a single word about what happened to the castle that day… or what happened that night." Ylva stepped closer to Galark, her expression shifting into a wide, confident grin. "Lupus is finally doing what needed to be done. We strike now with minimal losses… and from here, we march on the vampires next." Meanwhile, Austin had already led others to their target area. He continued moving through the park, navigating toward the next key location: the car park near the top of a small hill. The slope was slightly raised, and he was sprinting uphill fast. But halfway up, he spotted them, large numbers of werewolves waiting, lying in ambush. That was when he saw them, figures dressed in black and gold. Members of the Howlers, prepared and waiting. Each one held anti-Altered equipment in their hands, ready for war. Bolts fired from their weapons, raining down on the charging werewolves. Some had iron nets laced with electric charges. Others hurled large spears down the hill, while impact-activated traps slammed into the ground and erupted upon contact. A few of the werewolves managed to avoid the incoming fire. Others weren't so lucky. While many weren't killed, the onslaught served to slow them down. The angle, the coordination, and the sheer number of attacks made it almost impossible to climb the hill without getting hit. But for the few who did break through… a nasty surprise awaited them at the top. A being with multiple large, tentacle-like structures protruding from his back stood there, swords in both hands. Without hesitation, he hurled one of his blades down the hill, impaling a werewolf through its tough hide. The weapon sunk deep into flesh, striking with precision. And he wasn't alone. Another figure was beside him, flinging similar large weapons with immense force. From the energy alone, it was clear, they weren't human. When Austin finally reached the top, a wide grin spread across his face. "Nice work, Vere. Vlad. Let me give you a hand with something else," he said. The two Altered who had joined him at the car park were ones he got along with well, and this time, Austin had prepared something special. Right at the top of the car park, a collection of fuel-filled scooters had been lined up. Effortlessly, he grabbed one with a single hand, turned around, and hurled it back down the hill. It slammed into a werewolf, and with a massive boom, the vehicle exploded on impact. Without pause, Austin turned again and with one hand kept lifting scooters, throwing them like weapons from a fortress. The Howler members who weren't Altered could only stare in amazement, watching Austin's insane strength. One by one, vehicles crashed and exploded. Eventually, though, due to the sheer number of enemies, a few werewolves did manage to break through. But Austin was ready. Steam puffed out from his nose as he transformed, his body shifting, and he drove a fist into one of the werewolves' faces, cracking its large snout with a bone-jarring punch. "If you thought this was going to be easy…" Austin growled, staring down the charging enemies, "...we're here to prove you dead wrong!"
