My Werewolf System Chapter 1365

Chapter 1365: A Soultion To Your Weapon Gary had ended up no closer to understanding what the medallion did, nor its exact relationship to the Werewolves. However, he had at least uncovered a possible clue, one that could lead him to answers. Now wasn’t the time to investigate it fully, but paying a visit to the excavation site where the item had been found might be the key to finally unlocking its secrets. That is… if he didn’t figure out what it did before then. After speaking with Tom for a while, Gary figured Innu had probably had enough time to recover. So, he made his way back to the field, only for his jaw to practically drop to the ground the moment he arrived. Innu had both hands pressed firmly against Kevin’s back. “Please don’t tell me… please don’t say it,” Gary muttered as he rushed over. As he got closer, Xin and Kanu both avoided meeting his gaze. Just as Gary reached them, he spotted Kevin breaking free from Innu’s grasp, and the younger boy was practically bouncing with excitement. “I did it!” Kevin shouted, pumping his fists in the air. Then he turned, and his eyes locked with Gary’s. “I mean, I barely did it. This Qi stuff sure is tough, right?” “Kevin, you don’t have to pity me,” Gary sighed as he tilted his head back toward the sky, feeling as though a single tear was about to slip from his eye. “I know I suck at this Qi stuff. It’s alright.” Kevin had taken a few more tries than Xin, but he had still managed to figure out how to stop his body from transforming. What he hadn’t figured out yet was how to use Qi on his own without Innu’s help, so, in that sense, he was still a step behind Xin. But compared to Gary, Kevin had already mastered one crucial step. “Alright, let’s do this. I can’t keep getting shown up by the younger generation anymore,” Gary declared, determined to push himself to his limit. The good news was that between breaks, Gary wasn’t forgetting what he had already learned. He could still stop one arm from transforming, and when working on the second arm, though it transformed at first, he was able to force it back to its original state. It was clear he was absorbing what he had learned and applying it. And unlike the many times he’d simply relied on the system, Gary was actually feeling a genuine sense of accomplishment now, even if that feeling paled in comparison to the progress of those around him. Still, he refused to let it diminish his own victories. “Alright, I’m done for this round,” Innu said, wiping the sweat from his brow. “We’ve got it down to where you can stop the transformation in both your arms. I know you want full-body control and, eventually, the ability to use Qi while in your Werewolf form… but I think for now, your next step should be focusing on using Qi in your arms.” “In the first place, if you can channel Qi into your hands, you’ll be able to fully activate the power of the beast weapon as well. And honestly… I don’t know if we’ll have enough time to teach you full-body control before it matters.” Innu’s words struck Gary right in the heart, but he had to admit, Innu was right. “Alright, I think I’ve done enough watching. I guess it’s time I helped out a bit,” Kanu said as he stood up, cracking his neck from side to side. “Xin told me you’ve been having trouble using your weapon, right?” “Well, while Innu’s recovering, you can fight me, with your hands and your weapon. Try to activate your Qi and learn how to actually use the damn thing, too. And as for why you’re fighting me instead of her, well, we all know it’s because you wouldn’t be able to fight her seriously.” Before Gary could even respond, Kanu’s body began to transform, giving Gary no time to decline. Quickly, Gary held his hands out as the earring lit up, summoning the warhammer into his grip. “Oh, so you don’t even need to hold the earring directly. That’s neat,” Kanu remarked as he charged forward, his large claw arcing through the air. Gary barely managed to lift his weapon in time, blocking the strike. “If you block with the handle, you’ll leave yourself wide open!” Kanu shouted. He followed up with another swing, landing a solid hit with his claw that struck Gary right in the stomach. Gary was sent flying, his grip loosening on the warhammer, which instantly reverted back into an earring attached to his body. Flipping himself midair, Gary landed on his feet. The warhammer reappeared in his hands once more. “Damn it. I don’t even know how to use this weapon properly. I can’t focus enough in a fight to channel Qi,” Gary admitted, frustrated. “Well, your opponents aren’t going to just stand there and wait for you to learn!” Kanu shot back. Their fight resumed. From the sidelines, Xin observed carefully, and she noticed that Kanu wasn’t simply fighting Gary head-on. He was attacking in ways that forced Gary to think, using unorthodox tactics that required him to use the weapon creatively. It was frustrating for Gary, who instinctively wanted to rely on his fists. He wanted to transform and fight the way he always had. But mastering the power of the weapon… that was a whole different challenge. No. I can’t think like that, Gary reminded himself. The weapon is incredibly strong, I know that. Just like with Qi, the one who’s at fault here is me. “You’re right about that,” Kanu replied, as if reading Gary’s thoughts. “But I think I’ve found a solution to your problem, a way for you to use this weapon with next to no trouble at all. A way you can still fight like you.” For updates on MWS and future works, please follow me on my social media below: When news about MVS, MWS, or any of my other series comes out, you’ll be able to see it there first.
