*Laura Pov Cont.*
We got into the gym and with the help of my lady power, I managed to survive.
"Where have you been Gabriel," Max asked.
"Let's go," Ricky said as he dragged him.
I turned to Cody.
"I need to go talk to my friends, see you later," I said as I removed his arm away from my shoulders and was about to walk away.
"I can come with you," He smiled.
The last thing I want is for him to follow me, I don't want go get Gabriel angry.
Wait a minute, I am talking like a wife that doesn't want to get her husband to get angry for being with another man.
What is wrong with me??
"C'mon please," He pleaded.
"I am sorry, I have to go," I said but before I could move he wrapped his hands on my waist.
"It's because of Gabriel right?" He asked but I didn't reply.
"I am just gonna go," I said awkwardly as I walked away to where the girls were standing.
"Took you long enough," Nelly sighed.
"Sorry, I was busy," I shrugged.
"With that cutie, Cody," Emma smiled and we rolled our eyes.
"Please, you better not have a crush on him, cause that will make past repeat itself," I warned.
"Are you talking about Tammy? No way, I am not like her and besides I don't have a crush on him, I just know a cutie when I see one," She smiled and I rolled my eyes.
"Okay can we all concentrate," a feminine voice echoed in the gym.
The woman who I suppose is our coach because of her uniform was coming closer to us and that caused a river of shivers and fear to flow down my spine.
"You four care to tell the class what you are up to?" She asked and I froze.
"Actually it's her first time here, so we were just filling her on the details," Nelly covered up pointing at me.
Why did they have to use me.
"Oh, you're new here, well, what is your name dear," She asked politely.
"It's Laura," I said a bit nervous.
Why wouldn't I?
Everyone in the gym was staring at me including Gabriel and my enemies and I should feel comfortable?
No way!
It's not like I don't like Gabriel stares, it's just that..., never mind again.
"You have a fit body why don't you join the female basketballers," She smiled and I sighed.
I know that Gabriel would probably be smiling but I am not.
What have they done!!
I secretly glared at the three ladies standing beside me and they gave me a 'sorry' look, but it still doesn't count.
I'll get back at them.
"Ma'am I think... "
"That will be great," Patricia said from afar, interupped me.
I knew that they were here, somewhere.
"Miss Patricia, are you the teacher here?" The coach asked.
"No," Patricia replied embarrassed.
"Good," She said as she turned to me.
"I am coach Bridgit, just by looking at you I know that you are fit for this," She smiled and I gulped hard.
"Why don't we take a break for today, no gym class today everyone," She said and am sure Emma is keeping herself from hugging her.
The gym was getting empty by the minute but I stood there beside my friends waiting for her to dismiss us.
"Gabriel, you can leave now" She yelled.
I thought he left.
"I am waiting for Laura," He smiled.
"Oh, you know each other, that's nice" She smiled at me.
"Please think about it Laura," She said and I nodded, "I will."
"You can all go now," She said and we all walked out.
"Finally,* Ricky said as he sighted us, apparently Max and Ricky were outside the gym waiting for Gabriel.
"We have some free time, so what should we do?" Harper asked.
"I know what I want to do," Emma said with her focus on her phone. She's probably chatting.
"Let's go to the library, they are many books there that we can read," I smiled and they all looked at me awkwardly.
"What?"
"You know that you're no fun right? " Nelly asked.
"She is fun but she just likes studying all the time," Gabriel smiled.
Is he defending me or something?
"Oh, I totally forgot, you wanted to tell me something before Cody interupted," I said
"Yeah, it's well... " He looked at me and my friends, "Nevermind" He shrugged.
"C'mon tell me already, or should we talk privately," I asked and he sighed.
"No, I just wanted to ask for your forgiveness that's all," he said nervously with his hand rubbing the back of his neck.
He kinda looks cute this way.
I think I'm drooling.
But is it okay to drool?
"I can never stay angry with you forever," I blurted out and slapped my mouth after I said that.
"Aww, that's so cute," Emma smiled and they all laughed, with me trying to hide my flustered cheeks.
"That's enough," I said as I bit my lip.
Emma is so dramatic.
"Let's just go back to the classroom, relax a bit then head to the pool," Nelly suggested and I blinked rapidly.
"We have a pool here too?" I asked amused, I have seen a pool before and you know that but I am amazed that everywhere I go there must be a pool and partially because I'm gonna be wearing a swim suit and Gabriel will be there to see me.
I know that am exaggerating but I just can't help it.
The fact that he's going to be shirtless is killing me.
I mean, I would see his abs and muscles, if he has one.
I'm sure he does, I mean there is no way that a basketballer is muscle less or abs less.
"Earth to Laura" Nelly snapped at her fingers at me, getting me out if my thoughts.
"What were you thinking of?" Max asked.
"Nothing important, let's go," I said and we walked towards our classroom.
We walked in and I sighted Patricia and Tammy, who glared at me.
"Don't worry about them, we are here for you," Harper said.
After we spent some few minutes in the class, we walked to the pool and I mean it when I said that I was looking forward to see his abs.
He did have abs and he is pretty fit to be my boyfriend.
Oh my Gosh! I said that?

My stupid mouth and bad thinking.
He doesn't even like me.
After school, I walked to the car with Gabriel, am quite surprised that the driver came earlier.
My friends and his were busy with there argument, so it was only Gabriel who led me to the car.
I greeted Fred and he replied with a nod.
Am sure that Gabriel was quite amazed but I shut him up with a kiss.
Not on the lips, on the cheek. I didn't believe that I did that really but I did and I did like it.
I got into the car and we drove off, I kept looking at Gabriel until he disappeared from my sight and I sighed and relaxed a bit on the leather seat.
*Nelly Pov*
Gabriel came back some minutes layers and told us that she just left. My blood was boiling because I wanted to say goodbye to her but those nitwits boys didn't spare me a chance.
"See what you caused, we didn't even see Laura off," Harper yelled first and I tried to control my self from smacking some sense into their head.
"You were all busy," Ricky retorted.
"If you say a word, I'll kill you," I stared at him, sending him deadly glares and when they got the effect I wanted, I turned to leave.
"Ladies, I have to go, see you soon," I yelled as I walked out.
I'm going to visit my uncle and aunt, you already know that I got there everyday to win them over and spend sometime with my own blood.
But they still treat me like garbage, I'm not the type that gives up so am gonna keep on trying, and one day I'll be lucky.
I halted a cab and drove to my uncle's house.
My uncle is a wealthy man but right now his business is in a crisis.
I greeted the gateman and walked into the compound.
His mansion is big and painted orange, my aunt's favourite colour.
I stepped into the house and the first thing I received was a query from one of my cousins Peyton.
"Came late again," she hissed and I sighed.
"A plates are in the sink, go watch them and cook a meal for me," she said sassily.
"What meal?" I asked.
It's not like they don't have a cook, they just use this to punish me a little but I don't take it as a punishment, it's more like learning.
I learnt how to cook, am sure that every girl in the orphanage can't cook so that's a big win for me.
"What kind of question is that? My favourite meal of course, don't you know me at all dweeb," She snapped.
Just suck it in Nelly.
"I am sorry, I'll make it ready in a few minutes," I assured as I dropped my bag on the couch.
"What the hell, how many times have I told you not to drop your filthy bag on the couch" she yelled.
"Sorry," I shrugged as I carried my bag.
"Good, now go and start cooking," She said and I walked towards the kitchen but stopped on my tracks when I heard my aunt's and uncle's voice.
"Netta you're here," She said.
"It's Nelly," I corrected.
"Did you just correct me?" She yelled.
"My wife can call you want ever she wants," my uncle yelled and I flinched.
My uncle is my blood, my father's brother but yet he acts like I am a stranger and enemy.
"I am sorry," I said, my head slightly bowed.
"Save that for yourself, Now go and make our favourite dishes," he said.
"But that's like three different meals," I said stunned.
"Yes it is, now go make them," He yelled and I nodded, walking to the kitchen.
"Wait," My aunt called and turned to her, "Try not to put your orphanage scent into our food," She said and Peyton and her father smiled.
I admit, that hurt!
I'm trying to keep myself from crying, I can't believe my own relations will be treating me like this, but again it doesn't matter.
I guess I'll be going back late today.
