My System Love Me Too Much Chapter 27

Allen, who was thoroughly enjoying the service of his six new maids, he suddenly remembered something. "Jill." Ah, yes—he recalled that Jill had promised to serve him in bed tonight. Jill, noticing Allen glancing at her with a playful wink, could only resign herself to her fate. She knew exactly what that look meant—it seemed Allen was ready to cash in on the promise they had made. Without saying a word, Jill subtly gestured for Allen. Catching the signal, Allen simply smiled, then leaned back to enjoy the gentle massage on his shoulders and legs currently being performed by Athena and Artemis. Meanwhile, Hera patiently fed him bite after bite of food, while Hestia, Demeter, and Persephone danced before him—graceful movements filled with charm. "This... this is what they call the good life," Allen thought to himself, fully immersed in the moment. Of course, the maid outfits they wore were only allowed within that VIP room hotels on cruise ships—Allen didn't want his girls becoming the center of attention for other men. You could say Allen was quite possessive when it came to his women. The girls, noticing the satisfied and spoiled expression on Allen's face, could only smile in amusement. How adorable, they thought. But behind it all, there was a certain happiness—because at the very least, they knew Allen was truly paying attention to each of them, one by one. In one of the VIP rooms, Alex had been closely observing Allen's behavior ever since they boarded the cruise ship. She felt confused and a little disappointed—she thought Allen's talents were being wasted on nothing but leisure. "But well… they are on vacation, so I guess it's understandable," Alex reasoned silently to herself. However, for someone like Alex, who had been hardened by Spencer's training since childhood, it was hard to fully accept Allen's laid-back attitude. Deep down, Alex knew she still needed many talents to help carry out the grand plans of the company that Spencer had entrusted to her. Even so, Alex wasn't entirely loyal to Spencer. She had her own ambitions—to build power for herself. In truth, Alex was one of the victims of this grand game. Although she believed she hadn't been fully brainwashed by Spencer, in the end, she was convinced that she was a superior human being—someone destined to lead the next generation of mankind. A crazy plot, perhaps—but that's just how this world worked. Plenty of villains with high IQs but low EQs, whose logic often felt strange and irrational. Meanwhile, in her private room, Jill was pacing back and forth with a serious yet slightly nervous expression. Her eyes kept scanning the row of clothes neatly hung in front of a large mirror. "This one... too formal," she muttered, tossing one dress onto the edge of the bed. "This one... hmm, looks like I'm trying too hard to get attention." She sighed, then her eyes landed on a deep blue dress folded neatly in the corner of the wardrobe. Slowly, Jill picked it up and held it in front of the mirror. The color blended gently with her skin tone, giving off a calm and elegant impression. "I think this works... not too flashy, but still looks graceful," she said with a small smile, feeling a bit more confident. Carefully, she put on the dress, then glanced at the shoe rack. There, a pair of high heels. Recommended earlier by Raviel and Aphrodite waited. A little hesitant, Jill sat on the edge of the bed and began slipping them on. "If Raviel and Aphrodite said these would make me more attractive, I guess it's worth a try..." Once the shoes were on and her look complete, Jill stood up and gazed at her reflection in the mirror. A soft smile slowly bloomed on her face. Beautiful—not because of the dress or the heels. But because of the hope and sincerity behind her intentions tonight. She was going to have dinner with Allen. Just the two of them. Not just an ordinary dinner, of course. Jill knew where the night might lead—and she didn't mind. But before that, she wanted to make sure of one thing, that this moment would feel special. Not because of lust, but because of feeling. Because of intimacy. A few minutes later, Jill stepped out of her room, walking through the hallway with calm yet purposeful steps. She found Allen sitting casually in the private dining room, waiting with that signature smile that never failed to make her heart skip a beat. Allen stood up the moment he saw her, his eyes widening slightly before softening into a warm smile. "Wow... you look amazing tonight." Jill let out a soft chuckle, trying to hide her nerves. "Thank you. I just... wanted to look right for tonight." Allen pulled out her chair for her, that gentlemanly gesture that always made Jill feel cherished. "And you nailed it. Please, have a seat—dinner's ready." The dining table was adorned with small candles and fresh flowers, the aroma of delicious food faintly wafting from beneath the covered dishes. Gentle music played in the background, setting a warm and intimate atmosphere. They began to eat while chatting lightly—about silly things, about the day, about the little details that made them laugh. Jill felt comfortable, even more than she had imagined. Allen didn't just listen—he paid attention. He remembered the little details in her stories, and that made her feel completely appreciated as a woman. But it seemed their dinner was slightly disrupted by the appearance of an unfamiliar woman approaching their table—Alex Wesker. "Mr. Winters, I hope I'm not interrupting your evening," she said politely, yet with confident poise. Jill immediately frowned. She didn't like how their romantic dinner was suddenly interrupted by a woman she didn't recognize. Meanwhile, Allen simply gave a small smile—there was something oddly familiar about this woman, though he couldn't recall exactly what. "Sorry, but... may I ask who you are? And—as you can probably tell—this isn't exactly the best time for a business meeting," Allen said, glancing at Jill as a subtle gesture that they were in the middle of a date. "My name is Alex Wesker. I apologize for the lack of manners earlier. But I really do hope I can speak with you for a moment, Mr. Winters. It's about a rather important business matter," Alex replied, remaining calm and assertive. She was confident that with her charm—and Allen's character—he wouldn't refuse once he knew what it was about. Allen was about to gently decline, but Jill, wanting this to be over quickly, made the call instead."It's alright, Allen. You can talk to her first. I'll wait here," Jill said with a smile that barely masked her disappointment. Allen returned the smile and kissed her gently on the cheek. "Alright then. I'll be back as soon as I can. This won't take long, I promise." With that, Allen walked toward the room Alex had prepared—a private bar with dim lighting and shelves filled with luxury bottles. Alex greeted him with a slight nod, then walked toward the rack, scanning the bottles in silence. "What would you like to drink?" she asked without looking back. "Milk, please," Allen replied casually as he settled into the sofa. Alex paused for a moment, turning around with a confused look. "Milk...?" "Yeah. Is there a problem with my choice?" Alex raised an eyebrow, mildly amused. "I just figured... you'd have a different kind of taste." "Well, I drink milk every day. So it's only natural, right?" Allen leaned back, relaxed. "Anyway, enough small talk. So, what did you want to discuss, Mrs Wesker?" Alex let out a soft chuckle, clearly impressed by Allen's bluntness. "Straight to the point, huh?" She liked that—directness was rare. In her mind, Allen was starting to show the hallmark of a genius: speaking directly, no wasted words. Her expectations of him continued to rise… and for some reason, so did her interest. "So, Mr. Winters, I'd like to offer you a position on our company's research team," she said, pausing briefly to pour some milk into a glass before handing it to Allen. "Right now, we're in need of talented individuals to help develop new pharmaceuticals, and we're very interested in your expertise—especially in Virologi and Chemistry." Allen gave a small smile. The offer clearly didn't interest him. "Sorry, but I think I'll have to decline. I'm not really looking for a job... and besides, I'm not exactly short on money at the moment." Which made sense—Allen had just received three billion dollars. That kind of money wouldn't run out anytime soon, even if he lived extravagantly. Besides, Allen was currently focused on his own personal project: developing nanotechnology to build a mecha armor, something like Iron Man's suit. Of course, it wasn't an easy task. Everything had to be built from scratch. Fortunately, he already had a solid foundation—an advanced AI of his own design, something akin to Red Queen or J.A.R.V.I.S., which was already halfway done and housed in one of his properties in New York. Alex didn't look disappointed by his refusal—truthfully, she had expected it. But she still had a few tricks up her sleeve to pique Allen's interest. "Don't be so quick to say no, Mr. Winters. Let me show you some data from a project we're currently working on," she said calmly, handing over a few documents. While the contents were sensitive, Alex only shared the parts she personally handled—nothing that would compromise the company's confidentiality. Allen took the documents, if only to be polite. He flipped through the pages, examining the graphs and experimental results. The subject? A newly discovered virus and the genetic mutations it caused. While the data was sparse, it was enough to spark curiosity in most scientists. "Hmm… interesting. A virus capable of altering DNA structure and causing uncontrolled mutations. If pushed further, it's almost like creating a new species," he commented casually. Alex was briefly stunned by his deduction—drawn from such minimal data. She smiled, impressed. "Exactly. You really are a genius, Mr. Winters. So? What do you think? If you're interested, I could offer you the lead position on this research project." But Allen simply shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. A project with an unpredictable outcome ? To me, that's a failed product. Besides, I doubt this virus can have its evolutionary path controlled. Isn't that right, Mrs. Wesker?" Alex didn't respond—she only offered a faint smile, realizing Allen had already seen through the biggest risk of the entire experiment. "And one more thing," Allen added, closing the file and handing it back, "I'm in the middle of building my own company. I also have a personal project that's pretty ambitious. So for the next few years, I'll be very busy." Alex was slightly disappointed by the blatant rejection. She started to wonder—did her charisma really have no effect on Allen at all? She knew very well that plenty of men would do anything just to get into her pants. And of course, Alex was extremely confident in her beauty. She didn't feel inferior in the slightest compared to the women Allen had been dating. "Well then, Mr. Al—…" Suddenly, Alex's body went limp and collapsed to the floor before she could finish her sentence. Allen was visibly startled and quickly moved to kneel beside her to check her condition. "Phew… she just fainted. But… her breathing's irregular," Allen muttered, frowning. Without wasting time, he called for Jill. Moments later, Jill rushed in. "Allen, what's going on?" she asked, then froze for a moment when she saw Alex lying on the floor. "What happened? Don't tell me you attacked her?" Allen looked at her, clearly baffled. "Huh? Of course not. Why would you even think that?" Jill shrugged. "Well… I'm just stating the most logical possibility." Allen sighed. "She just fainted, Jill. And I didn't lay a finger on her, okay?" Jill gave a small nod, then crouched down beside Alex. "Help me bring her to our room. I think she's got a serious physical issue," Allen said. "Okay," Jill replied quickly. Together, they carried Alex inside, while Jill prepared the room so Allen could examine her condition more thoroughly. "Jill, can you grab my personal suitcase? There are a few tools in there I need," Allen asked, pointing toward a suitcase in the corner of the room. Jill quickly brought over the suitcase he indicated, then asked in a slightly worried tone, "Is she... going to be okay?" "She'll be fine. Hey, don't forget your boyfriend's a genius," Allen replied confidently, flashing a small grin. "You can go back to your room—I've got this handled. It won't take long anyway... and I still plan on collecting that promise you made for tonight." Jill just shook her head slowly and sighed, clearly resigned. It seemed like there was no escaping Allen tonight. Once Jill had left, Allen began examining Alex's condition more thoroughly. He was slightly taken aback by what he found. Her genetics appeared unstable—something was definitely off. In fact, Allen realized Alex seemed to have a genetic illness that couldn't be treated with regular medicine. "Well… that's troublesome," Allen muttered with a sigh. Sure, he'd played Resident Evil before, but like most casual gamers, he always skipped through the dialogue and cutscenes. No wonder he didn't really know who Alex Wesker actually was.
