I'VE BEEN facing the full-sized mirror for a few minutes but I don't seem to want to blink my eyes.
I tilted my face and slowly touches my skin with care. It's well glowing by the kiss of pink blush on. My eyebrows are perfectly curved in line, my natural red lip turns crimson red that gives me power and an elegant look.
My hair is dyed in Mahogany color. I glanced at the red velvet dress I was wearing. Again I was stunned. I can’t believe this make-over has done so much to me.
"Wow as in wow!"
I turned to Cindy who was just entering the dressing room where I was. She quickly reach for me and grabbed my two shoulders.
"Seriously, you're so beautiful Cherry! You look like a goddess, very stunning and gorgeous!" Her eyes seemed to twinkle as she uttered those compliments.
"Thank you, Miss Cindy." I'm embarrassed to answer. She shook after smiling.
"Let's go upstairs, there are the gowns you're going to wear, let's try to fit some of the themes, quick!" She dragged me out of her office and we go upstairs.
I could hardly raise my head because we were distracted by some customers who seemed to have seen a supermodel. Well, Miss Cindy is holding my hand so there is no reason for me to be shy.
"Here are my designs!" she said, after opening the slick door.
My eyes widened at the number of gowns, as casual to semi-formal wear was all here.
"This not officially out on the market yet, because I'm looking for someone to wear them with." She barely waved her hand over at the pink gown.
"Miss Cindy, the gowns you made are so beautiful!" I couldn't help but say.
"Well, it's even better to wear it well, lets try this one." She pulled from the hanger a red slit gown.
My eyes widened because it was too revealing for me.
"The number one rule in modeling is, you shouldn't be afraid of what you're going to wear. You should be able to wear any kind of clothes and nailed it."
She's right, I'm here to wear her works so I shouldn't doubt what she's going to wear, so I finally fit the red gown with a slit in my left thigh. That is enhanced my right stature even the groove of my chest not too big that gave a little curve.
"Perfect!" She applauded me.
I don't know how to do it because of the shyness, I also have a slit that opens up a bit in my thigh.
"Try to walk." She seemed excited to say that she gave me the black stilettos.
I obeyed what she said and took off the flat sandals I was wearing. I stood up and started to step on my feet but because the heels were a bit high I inevitably almost fell.
"Oh my gosh, wait!" She stopped me.
"I'm sorry... " I apologize.
"It's okay Cherry, let that be our next assignment." She smiled at me.
I took off the stilettos I was wearing and sat on the couch, just a moment later I was wearing them and my legs hurt.
"That's it for today, I need you here tomorrow so we can fix some problems," she says.
"All right!" I replied.
"I'm about to be going, Carick, and we're having a date." She pulled out her clutch bag and kissed me on the cheek.
"See you tomorrow!" she said goodbye to me who left the room.
I was left sitting on the couch and leaned there for a moment to turn a blind eye. Until now, it seemed like I was still dreaming, especially since I saw how I looked in the mirror. I couldn't quite imagine how Dad would react when I came home later.
Even when riding in a jeep, I was distracted. I removed my makeup and left a thin light lipstick there but why do they still think differently of me? I want to be able to get off immediately because of the attention I get from the passengers of the jeep.
"I'm here!" My voice was lively as I entered.
"Who are you?" Andrew asked me a kind question.
My forehead furrowed as I traced the smile. "What are you Andrew, I'm your sister Cherry!" I even tapped his shoulder.
"A-ate Cherry? You're so beautiful!" He didn’t stop him from saying that.
"You are, I don't have a salary yet!" I laugh.
I wanted to beat him when Dad came out of the kitchen.
"Dad!"
"Is that you, Cherry? You're so beautiful!" Aunt Melva hugged me since Andrew announced my arrival.
"Ma'am Cindy's stylist fixed my hair," I say enthusiastically.
"Cindy? I thought you were working for Rexon?" Dad couldn't help but ask.
"Oh dad, I have a part-time job at Ma'am Cindy's boutique. The famous designer of gowns?" I clasped his hands.
"That's good, you're a good model for your posture now." Aunt Melva sighed.
"The truth is, I'm one of the ones who will wear her works in the clothing line she will open!" I have lively news for them.
"That's good, after all, that's my dream for you ever since." Dad's smile widened at me.
Dad's words touched my heart. He was right because he wanted me to be a model even before. I was the only one who was naughty to enter as a waiter at Calixto's Restau Bar.
"Dad, I'm doing this for you," I said.
"How's your job with Rexon?" he was immediately a question.
"Ah – we haven't talked about that yet because he's out of town now," I explained.
"Is that so? Well, then you'd better talk to him when he comes so you don't have a problem."
I agreed with what he said, after all that was my intention, to talk to him when we met.
