WEARING the shiny see-through gown and feather wings I barely smiled. But I quickly stood up when I saw Nicholas enter.
I looked up as he approached me. His eyes were gleaming with amusement and with a lace of seriousness.
It made my whole being look tired. He touched my two shoulders before smiling.
"You're perfectly beautiful tonight, Cher." He rubbed more on my body before shaking and looking back at me.
"Sir, it might dissolve!" Farrah's point here.
I did not answer. To this day my mind is still full of the question of why we need to lead like this.
But Nicholas doesn’t take his hands off my shoulders and the stares deepen even more even as Farrah told him to back off.
"Can we have a moment, please?" he said to Farrah.
I glanced at Farrah who seemed thrilled to come out of my dressing room.
"Nick, what is this again?" I chuckled a bit. I want to calm my heart but I have mixed emotions since the start of the fashion show.
"Nothing, babe. I just want to congratulate you," he whispered huskily.
He stepped closer, the right hand on my two shoulders sliding into my arms.
I swallowed and blinked at it. I don’t know what he intends to say but I’m not comfortable in this situation.
He step closer, his eyes were dark now but the luminous spots are very visible when he staring hard at me closely.
"Nick," I utter again.
He shut his eyes and shook his head. I know it just suppresses itself. He let out a few sighs before slowly walking away.
"Alright, I'm sorry for what I did last time. I promise it won't happen again."
I bent down and pursed my lips. I refrain from speaking because I’m sure he won’t like what I say.
"Can we talk after the show?" I said lowly.
I knew he was stunned, but my decision was complete. I will resign from my job. Even if this decision is painful for me I will make it.
He slowly moved away from me so that it would have turned around but he faced again.
"Someone so important to you came here tonight."
My eyes widened in shock. The thrill pounded my heart faster, more than twice the thrill I felt before. Even though Nick didn’t say who it was I was sure it was Rexon.
I felt so nervous as I lined up for the next ramp. I calmed my heart a few times but I was almost stunned by the strength of its beating.
Until the queue gradually moved forward and I was next.
It was dark all around and the only light of the spotlight was just focused on me. Everyone stand in their seat and greeted me with applause.
I feel like a dream has happened. Is this really how everyone knows me? Have I been able to rise and exceed my expectations?
I didn’t send it on Twitter. I walked up and looked straight ahead, knowing that Rexon was over there watching me.
I make a double turned and look from afar. And right here I saw him, wearing a black suit. The smile on his face captured me. My heart thumping so hard against my ribcage.
I was almost stunned by the unexpected effect he had on me. But I had to turn around again and walk back backstage.
"OMG! You're an apple of the eye! Congrats!" Farrah greeted me.
I feel like my whole body is getting cold when I get down. Even though it takes off the angel wings I’m wearing I don’t seem to feel it.
"Are you alright?" This question surprised me.
"Rexon, he's here," I said in my tremble lips.
"Really?!" She almost jumped in shock and hurriedly changed my costume.
Now, I’m wearing a silky white dress with a headdress chopped up with different colors of Swarovski crystal.
"Are you ready?" Farrah asked me.
I slowly nodded. Even though it's a bit heavy, I can wear the headdress well.
We went up on stage again with my co-models. Until I reached the middle and stopped for a moment.
I saw Rexon again with a soft smile on his face. Because of Twitter, I was unable to react. I remain stoic and Pokerface. I don’t want to be criticized by gurus and analysts for being unprofessional on stage. So even though I smiled so much at it I couldn’t do it.
After the final catwalk, Nicholas came out with me. I wanted to smile broadly at everyone but I’m not comfortable with how Nicholas held my midriff body in front of everyone.
My eyes wandered around and I saw Rex, standing in his seat looking so serious and dark.
"Look at me and smile, babe," Nicholas whispered right through my ears.
I did as he ordered and looked up at him but I did not expect what he did next.
He kissed me right in front of everyone. I did not move immediately. His hand tightly gripped my back and kissed me slower.
I didn't do anything because the camera light and the people shouting were different. I don’t want to be embarrassed especially this one with a reserved name but I have no choice but to slowly push him away.
"Thank you!" he said softly before facing the audience.
I bit my lower lip and bowed. Whether I want to walk out is as if I have stiffened from standing.

My eye quickly searched for Rex where he had been sitting before but he was no longer there...
