"LET'S GET MARRIED, Cher," he murmured.
"What?!"
I quickly got up and faced him. He straightened up, put his head on both arms, and stared at me.
He looked down at me. And his lips curled a bit as he take a look at my naked body.
I quickly pulled out his comforter that was under the bed and draped it over my body.
"Come on, I've seen all of this, you have nothing to hide." He pulled on the comforter then hugged his arm to my stomach horizontally again next to him.
"Rex!"
"Hmm?" It was now pressed against my neck as his arm ran over my stomach.
"I need to go. My flight is still early."
I never heard him answer. So I peeked at him at my side. I’m sure it’s not asleep yet.
"I have to go, I can't be late for my flight."
"I told you, we're using my private plane, " he replied.
I gasped and glanced at the digital clock on the side of his nightstand. It's now already 3 in the morning. My flight is about six, I haven't been able to arrange the things to take.
"Damn, my phone!" I patted his forehead and bit my lip.
"Quit your job," he uttered under his breath. My brows furrowed as I looked
"You didn't yet answer my question?" He looked up and slowly arranged to lie down next to me.
"Marry me, then you don't have to work," he confidently told me.
My lips felt sorry for him again. As much as I wanted to say yes to him I couldn’t. My family still needs me. My Dad’s maintenance medication and Andrew still studying? Who will support them if I get married? I am the only thing who could help them.
"I can't just quit my job."
A sigh I heard it let out. I lay down again to take a closer look at my reaction.
"I own a company. You can work there anytime you want. If you were worried about your family. I'm ready to support them, including Andrew's education."
I frowned and turned my gaze in the other direction. I know he knows for whom I work. I work hard for my family, I have nothing not to do for them.
“You don’t take responsibility for them,” I said.
I got up again, picking up the clothes I had scattered on the floor one by one to put on.
"Alright," he finally said.
He also got up and put on his clothes. After I put on mine I faced him.
"No, I'm using my car."
I walked out of his room. I knew he followed me until I reached the main door.
I felt his hand on my elbow so I stopped for a moment and look at him.
He looked at me calmly, I couldn’t imagine what was running through his mind right now.
"I'm not rushing you, but I want you to think about it. I'll wait for your answer, maybe when you get back from Europe?" A smile appeared on his lips.
I bit my tongue hard. I could not speak immediately. But when he touched my face and caressed my cheek, my heart knew the answer.
Before he released me, he crossed between us to reach my lips. The small kissed turned into something spectacular. That deepened to my great surprise. His tongue stroking deep down my throat. The sweet taste of his lips leaves my heart breathless.
He pinning me against the wall for the second time. His hand also moved quickly to my thigh. The hem of my dress was raised. Suddenly he stopped as it lowered the panty I was wearing.
"Be mine again," he said under his warm breath.
Before I could make a protest, his lips crashing against mine. He carried me to the sofa nearby.
He knelt in front of me and effortlessly took off my dress again.
"Aaahh!" I leaned back on the sofa as he engulfed my chest. He sucked and bite my nipple. As one hand dropped between my thighs.
"Oh, Rex!"
Nothing runs through my mind right now but what will happen next. I seem to have forgotten my flight to Europe because of him.
He kissed me again, while his hands are everywhere. He moved slightly away from me. Looking down at me, my lips were parted, seemingly hanging by his sudden departure. My cheeks almost blushed because of his steady stare at me.
"Damn, I love it when you blushed like this." The edge of her lip moved before caressing my cheek red with embarrassment.
I firmly bit my lower lip and buried my back on the sofa. Damn it!
He moved away from me and walked towards his counter table. I quickly put on the dress she took off earlier and sat down.
I glanced at him now that someone was talking on his cellphone. For a moment I thought of it. His eyes were so dark but the corner of his lips tugged upward as if something is amusing.
My cheeks warmed up again as his gaze landed on me. He slightly scratched his eyebrow before averting his gaze.
Damn, Cher. He's so breathtakingly handsome. When did your heart fail to stare at him like this?
The offer of this marriage still did not sink in on me. I don't know how to react really after I've heard his proposal. I just try to be normal especially with the words I utter.
"Of course I do, see you then." After, he hung up the call and walked closer to me.
I settled my back against the chair clasped my both hands over my lap tightly.
"I already talked to Nick. He'll wait for us in France."
"Wait ... what do you mean, us?" I furrowed my brows.
"I said I'll send you there..." He piled up right in front of me and waited for my answer.
"No, not anymore. I can still catch the flight."
"I insist, I'll deliver you." His voice was serious when he spoke to me.
I sighed, "No, I can manage."
Rexon chuckled a bit, shaking his head at my response, "Do you think I'll let Nicholas get close to you again?" he said continuing to shake.
Again I let out a sigh before getting up to go out.
"I'll make you some breakfast, stay there." He started to walk back to the kitchen.
There is also nothing to do but follow him. It's not right for me to just leave him after something happened to us. Although I was embarrassed to ask, I dared to speak after he laid down in front of me the sandwich he had made himself.
I glanced at him in front of me starting to eat.
"Uh, what happened to us earlier... Does that mean ..."
"What do you think?" He arches a brow at me.
I quickly lowered my gaze to the sandwich he was holding unable to hold his hot stares.
"Are we good or not?" I asked him timidly.
"Why are you asking me that question when I was already asking you to marry me?"
I think of it quickly. The softer smile lace on his lips. He also stared at me intently as if he was making me look like a fool with my question.
I wanted to answer but his phone rang on the table. I can see that Hannah is the caller because of her Image in her call register.
"Just tell me when you're ready." He ignored Hannah's call.
I slowly nodded at him and quietly resumed eating. I just looked up at him when he finally answered the call while staying in front of me.
I shifted in my seat and tried to eat casually.
"Hmm, she's awake." I heard him said to the phone.
I was just silent as Rexon continued to answer Hannah's questions. He even leaned back in his chair as if he was enjoying talking to Hannah.
I pulled out the chocolate he made for me. I took just one sip before I decided to stand up.
"Alright, I'll call you later."
My lip pursed before he was covered with a sharp look.
"Hannah is checking on you," he said to me.
I just nodded. I turned around to get out of his unit. He immediately followed me and he even hit the elevator down.
"I'll follow you, then we'll use my car to take you to the airport."
I did not answer. I still can't forget Hannah's call this morning. There’s still nervousness in my heart that maybe something might not be right.
