I QUICKLY TIRED of looking at him. It looks like a cane from the shower room because of the wet hair and a different pair of clothes he was wearing. I gasped as he glanced back at me. The scent he exploded all over the house makes me so damn — horny.
"Damn, why did you guys get out so quick?!"
I almost spit out the vodka I was drinking because of what Skye said outright.
Peter kicked him from the other chair.
"Shut that mouth of yours." Peter gives him a fire look.
But what I thought was angry Peter smiled when Brigette caressed his arm.
"You have a dirty mind!" Hannah sat next to Jeff. While Rexon chooses to sit across the table, in front of me.
"Ten minutes is enough! Looks like our vocalist is looking fresh, didn't he?" Skye continued teasing.
Rexon ignored that and turned to look at me and the glass I was holding. His gaze shifted to Jeff before I saw his jaw fight.
I ignored that and re-emptied my glass. I closed my eyes to relieve the hot massage on my stomach. My head started spinning.
"Why haven't you confirmed the issue about you and Hannah? Look at Cherry, she seems to have moved on quickly?" Skye arch and brows at me.
I frowned at his remark. Earlier I noticed that he didn’t blend well with me. Slowly I found out that he's angry about what I did to his friend.
"Shut up, dude," Jeff warned Skye who seems drunk.
"Come on! They've been friends for a few years. And Hannah is still single, Rexon is probably the only one waiting for that!"
"How can you be sure?" Hannah B twitched her brows at Skye.
"I just guessing, So, how do you feel for Rex?"
Hannah immediately blushed. I quickly looked away from them and focused on the vodka in my glass.
As much as I can, I don't want to hear more of the conversation but they're not that far away so they don't go through my hearing.
"I like him. Are you happy now?" Hannah said to Skye.
"How about you, dude? Don't lie to us!" He even rattled the table for Rexon's awaited answer.
"Hannah is so important to me," he answered low and sexy.
It was there that Skye's rattle and scream grew louder as if he was satisfied with their answer.
I smiled bitterly. What I did was consumed the contents of my glass to erase the drawing pain in my heart. When I looked up it was Peter's eyes I saw watching me.
Fortunately, the temptation was broken when Brigette approached with the box of cake they had brought.
"Blow the candle, sis!" I glanced at Brigette who laid the birthday cake on the table.
"Wish first!" They shouted at the same time.
"Hmm, okay! My wish is like your wishes for me. And I wish to celebrate more of my birthdays with you guys!" After that, she blew out the candle on the cake.
"Tell us, what is your wish for Hannah?" said Bridgette to them.
"An appy love life!" Skye answered.
"Same!" Zach's hand was up.
"That's just the same for me," Jeff nodded.
I bent down and just listened to them. Until they ask Rexon about his wish for Hannah.
"I want the best in you," he said while smiling at Hannah.
"Oh, thank you so much!" Without saying a word she hugged Rexon and kissed his cheek.
I was about to quickly avert my gaze when I caught Rexon's glance at me.
"Uh, I need to go. My flight is still early in the morning." I suddenly stood up.
"Larabelle is coming here tonight. Can you wait for her?" Jeff stopped me.
I frowned and shook my head, "Maybe some other time." I refused.
"Oh, it looks like they're already here." Zach stood up when we heard a series of buzzers.
"Hi, guys!" Japs went l straight in to give a kiss to Jeff who was next to me.
"Oh, Cherry! Nice to see you here!" He smiled at me and turned to greet the others.
I glanced at Lara with Clara and Terry. They waved at me when I saw them As usual, her beauty still does not fade.
"You're here, I missed you! Lara belle hugged me completely.
"How's Carlson?"
"I asked mom to took care of him while Dawson is on the close door meeting," she answered.
I nodded at her. I also did nothing when she pulled me to sit on the sofa where they were Terry and now Brigette. While at the other table were Japs and Clara.
"How are you, you're so famous now," Lara said without leaving my hand.
"No, it's just a little hard work really, for the family." My answer is sincere.
"I heard your rumored boyfriend is now Nicholas?" Bridgette asked me.
I immediately cast a spell to relieve the heavy feeling.
"No, we were just friends."
Her forehead furrowed at me before finally smiling. I didn't even pay attention to her reaction because Hannah was sitting next to Bridgette.
"Boys talk, I can't relate!" Hannah rolled her eyes.
"You just stay here with us. " Terry handed her a glass of vodka.
"Oh, I still have duty tomorrow." She refuses.
"What, it's your birthday today!" Terry pushed the glass he was holding into her.
After she accepting the glass, she turned to me, "Here's for you."
I was embarrassed to refuse the glass so I reached for it.
"So, sorry for what happened to you and Rex. I didn't know that our photos in Barcelona would be spread in media."
I held the glass tightly in my hand and smiled at him, "It's nothing, that's done."
"I hope we can all move on from this issue. We're not too young to take that seriously. And I'm happy for you and Nick."
I nodded slowly. I know they're accusing me of fooling Rexon but how can I explain that if Rex and I haven't talked properly yet?
Until the night got dark, I didn't have a chance to leave. I still want to cheer for a moment to forget the painful scenes I saw before.
"Girls, let's move here," Japss calls us.
There is still a lot of space on the table but the seat near Rexon is all that is left for me. We think that's right for a moment. His eyes look more darker and vicious. I even notice his tight jaw that was strongly clenched together.
Because Brigette was standing next to Peter while Terry and Lara were next to Japs. Hannah again sat next to Rexon on her right. The only available seat is to his left and I don't have a choice but to sit by his side.
It's very uncomfortable. Add to that the fact that I already had enough of the amount of alcohol I drank. Damn! I leaned in slightly because of the mellow music that Skye was playing.
I winced as Zach when lowered the glass of wine in front of me. I smiled a bit and was about to accept it but Rexon snatched it from me.
"You drink too much, tonight."
