I WALKED along with the tables there. Regardless of the sharp look on my face by some.
Even before I turned into the hallway, someone blocked my way.
"Well, well, well. The two-timer, slash the personal assistant and the starlet model," said the woman blocking my path.
I pursed my lips. I just wanted to ignore what they said but when I tried to continue she blocked my path again.
"How dare you come here after you cheated on our Rexon?!" Her brows twitched like a bitch.
I grinned my teeth, "You are Candice, am I right?"
Her eyebrows rose again and he looked at me from head to toe.
"It's good that you still know me? I still remember you too. You're that stupid waitress at Calixto's bar, aren't you?!"
I lick my lower lip and gasped frustratedly. I glanced at the origin table before the stage. The band is starting to play again with Rexon still with Brigette on stage. They're two getting sweet together while singing his latest single.
"Excuse me," I say as I crossed over.
But it was over my arm so I wrinkled my forehead with it.
"What is your problem?!" I was irritated.
"You're our problem here and that's your tailgating on Rexon!"
I violently pulled my arm away from her. I was surrounded by her companions.
"I don't know what you're saying. Will you please get off my way!" I had intended to take another step but I pulled my arms again.
"Are you not satisfied with what you did to Rexon and even had a face to show up here?! You are nothing but a slut gold digger!"
Because of the right amount of alcohol, I didn't immediately give up. I violently pulled my arm to her and stepped closer to her.
"If you don't have anything good to say, you'd better keep your mouth shut." Because of my height, I seemed to be startled by her as I approached.
"Why are you brave?" said a woman of stature who sailed over to me.
Because of my dizziness, I almost lose my balance. Fortunately, another woman grabbed me and pushed me back to the woman who was almost as tall as me.
"Isn't Rexon enough for you? Did you even get him to trade for someone else? You thought we couldn't pass up what you did to him!" I heard the language of a woman named Candice.
I shut my eyes firmly. I could not understand what they were saying. I did not do anything wrong. I'm still the one fooled here.
"What does it feel like to hurt the feelings of others huh!"
That’s where Candice pulled my hair. Even though maybe they hurt me now no one seems to notice us because of the overcrowding. The band also plays loudly so I know they can't afford to help me now.
"You're flirty! Life should be skinning you!" Candice.
She twisted my hair and then I felt someone pull on the black dress I was wearing to tear my chest. I also felt a few nails sink into my arm and neck which brought me a strange pain.
"You bitch!"
I would have been ready to accept the slap Candice would give me.
My flesh almost trembled with fear. My tears are already flowing because of the pain I have suffered from them.
"Get your fucking hands off her or else I will kill you!" The growling voice of a man standing right in front of me blaring all over the place.
When they released me I fell to the floor. It's only now that I realize I have everyone's attention. No one is playing and no one is singing on the stage because Rexon is right in front of me...
My knight in shining armor.
"Cher! ” A concerned voice of Farrah quickly approached me and helped me stand up.
Even Jacky and Nicholas approached us as well.
"Make sure they can't leave here. I will sue them and I will make sure we meet in court." Rexon orders the securities.
Their faces were almost colored with vinegar from what Rexon said. While some are almost choked with fear.
"You can't do this to us, Rex! We just did what was supposed to be for that woman!" Candice seemed unaffected by fear.
"I don't ask anything from you," he answered sharply.
Candice burst into tears and quickly turned to Rexon, "I'm very disappointed in you! You're the one who stabbed him in the head, are you the one who wants to defend her?!"
Rexon fired him a look. Based on his reaction. I think he didn't like what he heard about Candice.
"I will see you all in court." After that, he faced me in my direction. His steps were too big and I was effortlessly snatched from Farrah.
"You still believe in her even though it turns out that she's flirting with his manager. Will you still go with her? How about Hannah? We all know that you deserve her more than that slut!"
My eyes widened at what I heard. It's too late to think of what to say because he quickly pulled me out of the Resto-bar. I even looked at Nicholas who did nothing but leave me to Rexon.
His vehicle is moving fast. I can't even look around even if I have a steady glance in the rearview mirror.
I blew out a breath and run my fingers through the strands of my hair and bit my lower lip.
"You can take me down there at a convenience store, please." I shook my head as my elbow leaned against the window.
But we all passed the store. But he didn’t stop the car. I turned my face to fire him a look. I just need to grab the steering wheel here so he can stop the car.
"Will you please stop the car!"
I almost sank into the dashboard when he stepped on the brakes to stop.
"Fuck! Are you out of your mind?!"
"Yes! And you're making me feel so damn crazy every fucking day! Happy now?" He leaned back in his car chair and combed his hair before moaning.
I did not immediately recover from what he had said. Everything I heard tonight came as a huge surprise to me. Add to that what he says.
"I don't understand. We— we're through, right? You don't have to use me anymore. This whole thing is shit. You're fantards, what's her name? Right, Candice! What's her problem with me?!"
"She's upset."
I smirked. "Great, then what about me? Look, I was trying my best to move on from this break-up. That's also what you should be doing. But why can't you tell your fans to stop pestering me!"
"Because I can't ... I can't get over you!" He hit the steering wheel hard and combed back his hair again.
I was amazed at what I heard. I never thought I would hear this from him after all.

Little by little, tears welled up in my eyes because of what he said. How could I lie to him about Nicholas? Didn’t I just do it right? I was just saving my fucking ego! I just couldn’t accept what happened to them with Hannah so I decided to do that. But what is it? Why is he telling me all this?
"I get it! We're done. You screwed up and I did too," I said as I recovered.
"Fuck!" It was too late to stop him because he repeatedly punched the steering wheel causing the horn to sound.
"Stop it, Rex." Tears welled up in my eyes.
"You're not supposed to be here. You make me look like you can afford to trade me right away after all?!"
I blew out a breath and shook my head at him, "I can't believe you, Rex!"
"Come on, don't deny it! You were there because you wanted to show me how happy you are with that asshole! You want to make me look like you can trade me!"
I bite my lips. He restrained himself from breaking all his beliefs. It would be better for him to think of that.
"I did all that because I was hurt. Over and over, Rex. So you can't blame me for why I did that to you."
He looked up and ran his tongue over his lips. When he faced me I saw his dark look on me. His expression intensified when he turned to starts the engine.
"I'll deliver you home." That was all he could say before driving his car again.
