MY FEET seemed to drown and I could no longer walk. We adjusted even more and slowly stepped closer to me.
His eyes are more darker and ruthless now. It just looks straight at me as if life can swallow me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask under my tight lips.
Because of his towering height and massive body, I was not prepared for his approach, so my gaze gradually fell to the floor.
Damn! Why am I seem so scared now? Why am I even more nervous than the two of us?
"Where's your suite?"
I immediately looked up at him with eyes wide open. I couldn't suppress my astonishment right now. Still can’t believe I was followed here in Singapore.
He seemed impatient to focus on the room I was coming from. There I felt the tight but light palm of him hold me.
"Let's talk." Even with authority in the voice, I don’t want to be affected.
I quickly squeezed my hand, but there is no way he would let me go.
"Open this door." His voice thundered.
He was next to me while still holding my right wrist. I took a quick breath and let out a violent breath.
"No, I won't and let go of my hand." I thought I was brave enough to talk to him that way, but when his head turned and met my eyes I spontaneously averted my gaze.
"We have a lot to talk about." He held out to me a hand for the key.
All I could do was hand over the card I was holding to finish this once and for all.
I'm sure he'll confront me about our photo spread on social media and news.
"Cher?" We both turned to that voice of Nicholas.
My shoulder dropped and I took a deep breath before facing the newcomer.
"Mr. Superstar, what a big surprise!" He walked with dignity towards us.
Rexon never let go of my hands, his grip was even tighter.
"What exactly are you doing here?" Nicholas remained joyous and confident. He quickly grabbed one of my arms to put it aside, but Rexon didn’t let go of me.
"Let go of her!" There was a threat in his tone when speaking to Nicholas.
I heard a mocking laugh Nick beside me. He bent down for a moment to see how I reacted to what he said, "Heard it, babe?"
I bite my tongue. I get it, he just wanted to annoy Rexon based on him calling me that but why don't I seem to like what he said.
Rexon stepped forward and immediately pulled on his collar with his other hand.
"What did you say?" he asks in a rough tone. His eyes also glaze over ahead.
"Why, are you the only one who can play with?" Nicholas continues teasing him.
Rexon drops his eyes at me. Those coal-black orbs that wanted to swallow me whole are now ready to eat me.
"With all due respect, Mr. Superstar, leave before I call the security."
He didn't even pay attention to what Nicholas said because he didn't seem to want to leave my eyes. I saw the disappointed soulless in his black eyes, but I saw a fierceness and pride there while his jaw flex strongly at me.
"Leave us alone," Rexon said in a deep throaty voice.
I bit my lip and looked up at Nicholas. But he seem not affected, instead of leaving my hand, he pulled my arm closer to him. My back drowns against his hard chest while his hands are slowly encircling my waistline.
"Get rid of him, I'll wait at the lobby, babe." He was too late to avoid the kiss he bestowed right at the corner of my lips.
That was the moment when Rexon let go of my hand and stepped closer to Nicholas to punch him but Nicholas immediately pushed him away as if he was ready to fight.
Mr. Superstar? Is that how you fight me? Get yourself up, you can't defeat me by being a scoundrel!"
"I can kill you right where you stand. Galvez," he said in a thundering tone of his voice.
"I will wait here forever, then." He strain.
That's where I intervened. I confronted Nicholas who I knew was still willing to argue with him.
"We'll just talk, please... Nick." There was a pleading in my voice when I spoke to him.
He gave me an awkward look before glancing at Rexon behind me again.
"Please..." I utter again.
"Alright, as you said." He did nothing but follow my wishes. He turned his back on us so I quickly confronted Rexon.
"Don't look at me like that." I pronounced emphatically before snatching the key to my suite.
"No, let's talk here."
I turned and finally, we folded to give in to what he said.
"Who told you displaying your naked body at the fashion show?" His voice was so deep and resonant.
"That's part of my job," I answer directly.
His jaw jerked at me. I know that whatever I answer is still wrong for him.
"You almost naked there, for Pete's sake!" His voice is rumbled.
"Is that all you came here for?!"
He messed up with what I said. I quickly turned around here to open the door of my suite.
I could feel his steps following me so I faced him. "If you have nothing more to say, you can leave. I'm hungry and they're waiting for me."
"Or Nicholas just waiting for you?" He presumed.
The wind blew me into the air as if I couldn't believe what he said.
"You know what? You may leave now." I will close the conversation. I was walking to open the door again when I heard what he said.
"We haven't talked for one day only and you already date someone else right away?"
I shrugged to face him. So isn't it over? There is a new issue that he wants to rock me.
"Yes, I dated Nicholas, but it was just a friendly date." Damn it! I want to beat myself up for explaining my side.
I was almost taken aback when he stepped closer. My body automatically rested against the back door and watched how his eyes set on fire.
"Don't fucking screwed me, Cherry! Your photos are in the headlines. Dinner with candle lights and at the Marina bay and— Bullshit! What are you two doing here last night? Fucking each other till dawn, huh?! "
My flesh almost trembled at the last things he said. I flew my palm to slap him in the face hard. His head turned and slowly turned back as his eyes blazed with anger.
"Slapped me again and you will taste my punishment."
I don’t know if he was joking but I didn’t laugh. Now, he feels what he feels like to be deceived. I am not sorry for those pictures and rumors about Nicholas and me. If only I could attest to everything I have done.
"You want an answer? Yes, we'll fuck–until the last drop! Are you happy?!"
I saw how his jaw tightened and successively shook his head. His eyes holding total anger now, it's too late to take back everything I said.
"No, you can't, Cherry." He shook his head repeatedly.
"Yes, we've done it, so you can leave now." My voice is shaking. Several times I tried to hold the word but I couldn’t.
"That's the best line I've ever heard from you. And it's painful to believe that's true?" His voice was rough and cold. What I said seemed like a nightmare for him.
"You fucking leave me alone... Forever," I said with my cold lips.
I almost swallowed everything I said when he looked up momentarily as the jaw continued to fight. When he lowered his head and stared deep down at me with two reddening eyes he seemed there that my stability was broken.
He punched on the door right next to me. Not just one, he did it many times. I remained standing and strained to realize the pain he was bringing to me.
I had to do it not because I was betrayed but because I was hurt.
“You have no idea, what have I done for you,” he said with a low tone.
He squeezed me right behind the door so I could do nothing but meet his gaze. I couldn't match what he said.
"I love you more than enough to leave you," he matched closely.
My heart died because of his words.
My lips trembled. I wanted to open my lips to retract what I had said but he was completely away from me when I heard Nicolas outside the door.
And this is it. We’re all done here. We broke up and fall apart.
