BOTTOMS UP! ”Jackilyn shouted out loud before raising the glass of whiskey she was holding into the air.
"Yeah, let's have a party!" Farrah yelling over the loud disco sound.
We raised the glass and held it together. I gulp the whiskey like a thirsty soldier. It draws straight down my throat and brings a strange heat to my body. I blow out a deep breath after laying down the rock glass I was holding loudly on the table.
"One more?" Dillan asked me with a huge smile on his face.
I simply nod, I also immediately consumed the contents of the glass. And laid my back against the lounge lazily. I was a bit hit by the whiskey we drank, adding to my dizziness the dying flames of the disco ball and the lingering cigarette smoke around.
"Cherry, don't push your limit," Nicholas warned me and took a slug on his drink in his seat.
"Okay, don't be a killjoy!" Jackilyn said with an exclamation. She snatched the bottle from Dillan he was holding and pour me another glass.
"Thanks!" I smiled at her before sipping the glass of whiskey.
"Just let Cherry enjoy it once! We just finished the shoot, right?" Farrah stated. She doesn't seem to comment on who's talking.
Nicholas relaxed his back against the chair but unfortunately, I couldn't make out his emotions from those dark eyes. Instead of worrying, I chose to smile at him.
"It's Sunday tomorrow, definitely no work!" I lift the glass before I drink.
He did not comment but glanced at the waiter to order the wine to return to the table.
"You see, your boss is listening to you!" Jacky whispered to me.
I just smiled at that thing after getting tired of what I saw at the Bar. With more and more people, the former orchestra that played a classic song has now been replaced by a live band.
"Woah! In all fairness ha, a lot of people today!" Farrah commented on the influx of some young people who gathered in front of the stage.
"I think there's a live band coming tonight, " Dillan stated.
My heart immediately pounded at what Dillan said, based on the crowd of people tonight. There's a chance that the Logistics band is performing tonight.
"I heard that the famous Haillus will be playing," Dillan added.
I frowned and breathed a sigh of relief at what I heard. I glanced at Nicholas who was sitting in front of me. He did not escape me to lift his lip before sipping the goblet of wine. It looks like someone wants to convey his gaze to me.
I violently avoided looking at him. I know he's reminding me that Rexon didn't show up on our lunch date yesterday. Yeah, I admit, I looked like a fool earlier. I also ate past three o'clock, if he hadn't just brought me lunch I would have forgotten to eat.
I took a deep breath and just continue drinking.
"Logistic!"
I came back to the present quickly after I heard them shout the band’s name.
"Logistic band!" The crowd began chanting their names.
My gaze immediately flew to the stage and the familiar-shaped body took my attention. His hair looked as if it was dyed black by the night sky. His facial features were chiseled. And the great devil expression became ferocious that it looked as if it could destroy the earth. I can't deny that my heart was pounding as I stared at him. He is chatting with his co-band while testing his guitar.
"Shit! That's logistic!" Jacky couldn't help but scream next to me.
"Hello, mic test..." A soulful voice swirling around.
The crowd grew louder, seemingly eager for what else it would say to everyone.
"Those people are attracted to Logistic l. I won't be surprised if a lot of people are obsessed with them." Dillan's statement before shaking his head.
I quickly looked down because I heard and found the glass of wine in front of me that I immediately drank. I clung to the heat it brought to my throat.
"Good evening to each and everyone!" A gravelly sound came out sexily to his lips.
My heart raced deliriously. His eyes became darker than usual as if to suck my soul in. I also don’t know where to pick up my heart that seems to have fallen to where.
"What are we waiting for? Come on, we're upfront!" Jackilyn immediately pulled my arm to my feet.
"Hey, girls..." Nicholas quickly grabbed the shovel on my wrist to stop me.
His expression was as dark as night. He didn't even speak but I knew what was running through his mind right now.
I lightly caressed the shaft of his palm. "I'm fine, Nick, don't worry about me. " I'm assuring him.
"I'll keep an eye on you, l," he said with the hint of seriousness.
I didn't mind nodding before he released my wrist. I quickly followed Jackilyn who kept pulling me through the crowd, until we got the right seat on the side.
"I love you, Rexon!" Some group of the girls shouted from the front.
"Marry me, Please!" The one who was just in front of him cried out.
I creased my brows and glared at them with a furious heart. My gaze also flew quickly to Rexon. He skimmed over the girls while shaking his head.
"Tss, aren't those Rexon's fantards?" Jackilyn's elbow to me.
I followed the look on my face. My two eyebrows arched even more since I recognized who it was. Candice, the President of Rexon’s Fans club.
"I love you, babe," she endearing wildly.
Suddenly the bottom of my ear warmed at what I heard. I wrinkled my brows and stared at the girl with a fisted hand. It's like I want to suddenly break them to get close to her right away and give a slap to wake her up.
But I wouldn't do that, I'm not that violent so in the end, I chose to just glance at Rexon. His face was filled with mockery and ridicule. He didn't seem to want to repeat what Candice said.
"Girl, you're the girlfriend, you should be there and yelling like that at him!" she drones to me.
I swallowed, Girlfriend?!
It sounded like music to my ears when Jackilyn said that. My heart is pounding so fast, I'm just thinking that I'm going to shout that I'm in love with him as if I'm running away from sanity.
I felt the heat rushed up on both my cheeks, even my lips were trembling. What if I try?
" I love you, Logistic!" Jackilyn yelled at me, I immediately pulled her hand down.
"What an embarrassment!" I whispered before shyly bowing.
"Tsk, what are you ashamed of? You're the girlfriend!"
I didn't answer because Jeff started playing the guitar, accompanied by Sky's piano and Zack's beating on the drums. A few moments later, Rexon's soft voice rang out.
His voice echoed continuously in my head. The admiration and heartbreak intensified with each word he uttered.
The crowd is getting wilder and exaggerating.
He looked down slowly, with eyes as cold as the moon overhead. It seems that regardless of the viewer's warm welcome to him. My lips pursed a bit. I wanted to open but worried about the possible consequences.
His gaze scanned over everyone and landed straight from where I stand. The green veins on his forehead were bulging and his expression was grim.
I stood rooted to the ground. I swallowed but my throat seemed to be dry. One by one, my forehead started to sweat because of his darker looking. I noticed his subtle reaction, so I took a looked at my dress quickly.
I’m wearing a black spaghetti strap dress. Its length is straight a few inches from my knee. I admit, my skin is a bit revealing, even my chest cheeks will be reflected as well. But I'm sure I'm not rude to look at what I'm wearing.
I looked back at Rexon, his attention focused on the guitar he was holding. He is also firmly closed now while the band is playing.
