I was half awake when I felt a stomachache. I can feel the pain and I feel like throwing up, so I hurried to get up. But that feeling immediately disappeared and was replaced by worry when I saw where I was.
This is not my room! Where am I?!
"Shit!" I mumbled in fear and confusion.
When I lowered my gaze to myself, I almost fled into a trance when I saw that I was not wearing anything and only a blanket wrapped around me.
"Ugh..."
I felt my whole world stop when I heard that faint growl. I never knew what I would do next. My whole body also began to tremble with fear and anxiousness. I hope what I have in mind is wrong. I hope it's Ares.
But I was fully wrong when I saw the back of the man beside me. He has a big dragon tattoo on his back. It was wide and rocky that was pulled into the gym — which is not Ares' back. I could also see the full-sleeve tattoo on his right arm. This is not Ares.
What have you done, Ana? Who is this man?
I was about to stand up when I felt something in my hand, on my finger. I examined it carefully and frowned when I saw I was wearing a ring.
"What's going on..." I muttered a curse while still examining the ring to see what kind it was while I could still feel the loud thump of my chest.
Eventually, my world completely collapsed when I realized what kind of ring it was. I quickly rolled my eyes across the room and there I saw a piece of paper on the side table that was there. I quickly stood up and picked up that paper. When I looked at it, I almost fainted when I saw what it was.
"Fuck..." I muttered some curses again, trembling while holding the paper. "M-marriage contract?"
What happened last night? Why is there such a thing? Why do I have a wedding ring and a marriage contract here? Why am I in this room with whoever this man is? Where is Elena? What happened, Ana?!
Tearfully, I returned that paper to the table. I could still feel my heart pounding as I thought about what I would do first; to just leave or to ask for an explanation from this man who is still asleep.
"Hey..."
I stiffened in my stance when I heard that voice. It was whole and still hoarse. When I turned my gaze to the speaker, I saw the man sitting on the bed. I looked down at his body. Like his back, his chest was also wide. He's a bulky... hot... man. Who the hell is this pretty man?
What's wrong with you, Ana?!
"W-who are you? What did you do to me?" I exclaimed to him in fear and confusion. I firmly wiped the tears from my eyes.
He suddenly smirked at me and shook his head.
"Don't make me laugh, lady. Don't you remember anything?"
"A-answer my question! Who are you? Why... why is there a marriage contract here? Why am I wearing a wedding ring? Why are we both naked?" I cut him off from what he was going to say because I could feel the intense fear burning in my heart.
Even though I already know the possibilities, I still want my thoughts to be wrong.
That little smirk never left his lips. Instead of answering me, he suddenly stood up and faced me. For a moment, my eyes widened because of what he did. He was not wearing anything and I saw how beautiful his whole body is. I feel like I stared at a God for a moment. I quickly bent down and bit my lower lip hard. What kind of man is this? Shit.
"I see. Looks like you don't remember anything. That's sucks. You don't even remember what happened to us last night." I heard it say in his hoarse voice.
The anger I felt intensified. I wanted to look at him but I couldn't because I wasn't sure whether he is still dressed or not.
But that is not where my attention was focused if not for what he said. Something happened between us. At first, I still denied that myself, but I was already disappointed when I saw the bloodstain on the bedsheet.
I sat down on the bed with my back facing him and cried quietly. I was so annoyed and angry. My chest started to feel heavy. I don't even know what I'm going to do after this. What awaits me after this?
"I can't believe it… You took advantage of me—"
"Not really. You were the first to come to me, Miss. If you could just remember everything. We had fun last night. We were both very drunk. From what I saw last night, I think you liked all that too." He cut me off so I was even more depressed.
I knew it. That was my first time drinking hard drinks. I also don't know why I don't remember anything that happened last night. But there is only one thing on my mind right now. How can I tell this to Ares?
"The ring you referred to earlier is our wedding ring. We got married last night. Something happened between us because it was a honeymoon. I'm sure you're not a fool for not knowing that." He said coldly to me. I turned to him quickly.
He is already wearing pants and fixing his hair.
"I don't believe you! Didn't you ever stop me from what I did and agree to get married just because we're both drunk?" I yelled at him but he just laughed at me.
I could even see him looking at my body so I quickly ran into the bathroom with my belongings. When I entered, I sat down and wept with great remorse.
I was so confused. I don't know what to believe. I don't know if I will believe what that man said. But what if it is true? What if I did that last night? How are Ares and I getting married? That was supposed to be my bachelorette party. Elena prepared that for me after Ares proposed to me.
And now here I am.
Married to a man I don't even know.
And something has happened to us.
How am I supposed to believe that when I don't remember anything?
When I finished bathing and getting dressed, I hurriedly put away my belongings. Suddenly, I grabbed my bag and searched for my cell phone. When I saw that it was dead, my heart pounded even more.
"You can relax. You should be thankful because you married me. Don't worry, I'll be a good husband—"
"I will immediately file an annulment if it's really true," I cut him off.
The man suddenly laugh, so I looked at him. Suddenly his face becomes serious.
"You can't do that anymore, wife. Our wedding becomes more official after what happened to us last night..." he said in his baritone voice and quickly crossed the path between us.
I was about to walk away from him but he quickly cornered me on the wall. I automatically looked up because he was so tall. I saw him lower his gaze to my lips and return to my eyes again. I could feel my heart pounding even more because of that.
"Damn. I will not regret our marriage because of you. You were so well last night with your innocent eyes. I almost fainted, you know that..."
And I'm sure, this will be my worst nightmare. This man will be my biggest mistake.
