‘But I have blur memories of the morning, and all I remember is that I ate my mate hungrily. If I’m wrong, then we were drugged.’ he added.
Hearing it, Artemis couldn’t sleep but lifted the sheet, and his eyes widened, seeing so many bruises on her skin. Not just that, it looked like she even bled while having rough sex because he could smell blood.
‘Moon Goddess, how hard I was on her?’ He mumbled and touched her neck where there was a big hickey. Caroline slapped his hand and mumbled in her sleep.
“No sex before the wedding.”
He brought her close to him and kissed her hair. “I’m sorry. I think I acted like a beast.”
“Not that I’m complaining about it.” Artemis kissed her hair again and looked for his phone, but he couldn’t find it anywhere.
‘Aiden! What’s the time?’
‘It’s 13:53, Mr. Gosling.’
‘Damn, staying in bed wouldn’t help.’ With this, he left the room and walked straight into the washroom... ‘There are so many things that are left explained between us.’ he talked with Bolt.
‘I agree. We should silently sit and talk about it with our mates because miscommunication is the biggest enemy of any relationship. Both of our moms told the same to us.”
‘Agree. After freshening up, we will finally talk about everything..’ Artemis talked with his wolf for a while and prepared lukewarm water in the tub. At the same time, Caroline’s thoughts were no different before Artemis walked out of the room and found his ex-mate dead.
‘I hope he wouldn’t have any soft corner for her because that is the last thing I want.’ She thought and moved her body. She hissed in pain. First, she awoke with a strong ache between her legs, and now her body felt as if it had been hit by a train.
She pushed the sheet off her; her legs were feeling numb. Last night was the wildest night between them. She tried to move but fell immediately.
‘Damn!’
“Sarah?” Artemis quickly came out and saw Caroline on the floor. “Why did you leave the bed? I was coming to get you,” he said, picking her up in a bridal style and taking her to the washroom.
“I want to finish my personal business first before taking a bath.” She muttered, on which Artemis placed her on the toilet seat.
“Okay then!! Observe my energy first.” He responded, making her hold his hand. “Come on, go ahead. Bolt can easily recharge both himself and me.”
Leaving Caroline in the washroom, he walked to order something to eat and also to check with Artin. He first mind-link Aiden to get heavy lunch from both of them, and wearing one of his shorts from his luggage which he had brought on a business tour, he walked out of the room.
Immediately his nose hit a strong smell of blood which he was not feeling inside.
‘This is the work of our mate.’ Bolt said and wondered what had happened here last night about which he had no memories. Because it looked like some big creature was running here and there because even the fans and Chandelier were broken, and one couldn’t walk without getting his or her foot hurt. He got his shoes from the room first and started inspecting the area on his own.
He was taken aback when he saw a half-eaten body of a woman, and surprisingly she was wearing the same slip-on dress that he had bought her. Maybe other people couldn’t recognize that body now, but he knew whose body was; he looked around and found the head of Isabella. He shut his eyes, not able to see his first love in this state.
But at the same time, he also knew that Caroline wasn’t a violent person. Then what the hell did Isabella do to piss Caroline to this state?
He heard the sound of the flush without wasting time; he returned back to her.
“You could have called me,” Artemis complained when he found Caroline in the tub.
“You wouldn’t have had to run for a while to reach near me if you would have been in the room,” Caroline said, relaxing in the tub.
Artemis sighed and reaching sat on the floor, resting his back against the tub. “I know you’re mad at me.”
“I don’t know about that part, but yes, I’m mad at my behavior. I didn’t expect myself to behave like a child.”
“Well, you weren’t the only one who acted like a child,” Artemis said, placing his hand on the rim of the tub and touching Caroline’s hand. “I should have traveled to Paris at night just like other nights instead of staying mad at you.”
“No,” Caroline said, shaking her head. “I should have reached near you the moment I came that night instead of staying angry.”
“I should have called you, sent you a message, or some roses and chocolate to calm your anger down.”
“I shouldn’t have got angry in the first place.”
“I shouldn’t have that question in that way in the first place.”
“I’m sorry!!
“I’m sorry!!”
Both chuckled, looking at each other. “Let’s kiss and make up and promise that we will not behave like this ever, ever, ever in our life.”
“We promise!! We promise!!.” With this, they both kissed each other passionately.

After bath!!
“I don’t know whether it is important to tell anything about Isabella or not,” Artemis said when finally Caroline settled on the bed, wearing one of his shirts because her clothes were ripped into pieces when she shifted into a wolf. “But what the hell is the mess outside the room? And I don’t have any memories related to it. Was I sleeping like Kumbhakarna?”
“What’s Kumbhakarna?” Caroline probed.
