The next day!!
Artemis asked Caroline to take the orphanage just after breakfast so that they could also meet Dylan and spend a day exploring Paris. It wasn’t that Artemis hadn’t visited Paris before; in fact, he had visited here twice, but he always used to visit for some business-related work instead of enjoying the beauty of the city.
“The interior of this hotel is so good,” Artemis commented just after walking into Hotel Fonda.
“Why are we here?” Caroline asked when Artemis brought her here. Artemis didn’t know, but the hotel he had brought Caroline belonged to Alice’s father, and the interior he was praising was also designed by Caroline.
“Uncle Oliver’s restaurant is on the topmost floor of the building. Did I forget that?” Artemis asked. “And it’s already lunchtime,” he added.
“I know for other customers; one has to book to eat in the restaurant like months ago but being a family, we can have an advantage, right? Also, I’m his business partner now.” Artemis said, on which Caroline nodded her head. “And I won’t lie, bae. The MD of this hotel wants ten minutes of my time,” he added in a low tone.
“Again, work?”
“Just ten minutes, okay? I’m increasing my connection with the people so that when needed, other friends of mine also help me get a suite under my name when Colton needed.” Artemis said, winning Caroline’s heart again. Of course, he was working even when they were together, but this time for her family members.
“Okay.”
“You can wait for me in the VIP suite of the restaurant and order food for us. I promise to be there before the waiter will be there with food.”
“Hmm,” Caroline nodded, still looking at him.
“Did I do something to your eyes?” He asked with a serious.
“No. Nothing. Why are you saying this?” Caroline replied, shaking her head.
“Because you can’t keep them off me.” He said and lightly kissed her lips before leaving her. Caroline smiled and activated her magic.
‘I love you, hon.’
‘We love you too, Mate.’

Walking into the restaurant, Caroline went directly to meet the manager so that she could talk with her or him about the reserved table that was always kept for reserve for family members or for those customers who could pay three to four times more than the actual price at the last moment.
“Yes, Miss. Do you have a reservation?” The manager asked.
“No. I don’t. I’m a part of the family.” She said, giving him her card. The man checked Caroline’s name on his system, and when he found her name in it, he returned her the card. “Please arrange a private dining room with a table of two people.”
“Okay, Ms. Haysbert!!” He nodded his head before asking, “Will you make the payment if you need a family discount.” he asked next. There were around fifty people on the list of family members, and it was the direct order from the head not to ask for payment if they wouldn’t pay for it.
“No. We will be paying.”
“Okay, Great.” With this, he personally guided Caroline toward the reserved dining room. “The best waiters of the restaurant will serve you tonight.”
“Thank you. My husband will soon be there searching for me. Please guide him in this way. His name is Artemis Thomas Gosling.”
“Okay, Mrs. Gosling.” The manager quickly corrected himself when Caroline mentioned her husband.
Once the manager left, Caroline picked the Menu to order the food that she wanted to eat; even though she knew the name of all the food, from starters to dessert that she usually eats but she was checking it to see whether something new was added to the Menu.
“Good Afternoon, Ma’am. My colleague and I will be your personal waiter for a while.” A female said politely. Caroline’s eyes widened in shock when she recognized that voice. Because of the menu book around her face, she didn’t see the face, but she couldn’t forget that voice ever in her life.
“Good Afternoon, Ma’am!! Have you decided on the food that you want to order?” She next heard the other masculine voice.
‘You got to be kidding me, God!’ She mentally screamed and removed the menu book from her face and looked at her ex-best friend, Alice Fonda, and her ex-boyfriend, Mark Jonhson, in a cloth of a waiter. She couldn’t understand how the hell they landed in this situation. Alice’s father, Albert Fonda, had two branches of five-star hotels in the whole of France. One in Grenoble and another one in Paris, and the daughter and son-in-law of a millionaire was a waiter?
“Caroline?” Mark looked at her in shock.
“Caroline… what are you doing here?” While Alice was glaring at her for running her life. At first, her family targeted her father’s business for what she had done with Caroline, but when Caroline requested Colton not to punish Albert Fonda for Alice’s mistake. They stopped doing that on one condition. Both Mark and Alice had to work as waiters for a year, and in case they got fired from the job then, they would restart the waiter job again from the first day the work that they would job before that wouldn’t be counted. And the rest was history.
Both Alice and Mark were shocked to see Caroline wearing a white and pink floral dress and dressing up like a doll. She looked beautiful and cute. Also, she had done light makeup on her face.
“My order is…”
Before Caroline would have completed her words, Alice slammed her hand on the table.
“You bitch… aren’t you happy by destroying our life? Why are you back now? Huh?” She asked, fuming in anger. Mark wondered whether he should propose to Caroline again.
