"You need to focus Daisy. Focus!" Dad have started training me on using my powers. At least the basic before the warlock aka my papa comes to take me for more magic training. Fire was cool and easy. Drawing life force from water wasn't bad. But Air and earth is so hard.
I've been trying to levitate anything but I can't even lift myself talk more a feather.
"It's just not working. I'm really trying here Dad." Angrily throwing my hands in the air out of frustration.
"There's no such thing as not working. Take your mind off everything else, use your mind and it will work." Dad says.
I nod breathing in and out giving it one last attempt. Like it's just a feather for crying out loud. How difficult can it possibly be? I close my eyes ridding my mind of all worries and thoughts. Putting deep concentration into the feather thinking of it afloat, suspended in the air as I happily peek an eye open.
And let me tell you the great news. It did not work. AGAIN.
Yes. The stupid annoying beautiful feather just sat there mocking me. I just want to ball my brimming tears out while eating ice-cream.
I think dad got a whip of my emotions, chuckling at my demise.
"I think we're done for today. Head up, take a shower and rest. We continue tomorrow bright and early."
Defeatedly I stood up walking out their quarters. Why can't I get this right? It's so annoying. I wipe an annoying lone tear that escape, sniffling to the twins office. Taking in a gush of air I pull the oak door open.
"Kitten?" I heard their voice as the wind blew my hair. Pulling me to their warmth, I just couldn't help it, sobbing on their chest.
"Why can't I do it right? It's not meant to be difficult but it is and I don't know why." Saying in between sobs they cooed taking me to the couch.
"You've been crying lately and it's not good for you. Don't worry you'll get it right okay?" Damon say placing a kiss on my lip.
"Okay." Snuggling into his arms as my face nuzzle his neck. Loving the feeling of his warm hands wrapped around me as I snuggle deeper inhaling his masculine scent.
"You look sick baby girl." His worry hand crept to my forehead checking my temperature.
"Not sick. Just tired, a little weak and a bit of stress." Sleep slowly taking over as a yawn escape.
They both chuckle and if I wasn't already in a bad mood, I would have smile but I'm too tired for that. I just want to cuddle and sleep, hopefully the mood swing will seize.
"Something is definitely wrong with her. She's has not been herself lately." I heard the echo of Damian's voice and if I wasn't sleepily I would have given him a piece of my mind. Stupid mate I have.

I woke up to my phone blaring noise, distracting my sleep. My hand search for the demon as I pick up.
"Daisy! You got to come here now! I need you please." Flinching at zikky screeching voice.
"Are you trying to make me deaf or what!?"
Whenever she's excited her voice goes through the roof and I mean screeching banshee through the roof.
"My bad." She apologize but it sound nothing close to an apology.
"Yeah your bad. And what did I say about disturbing my sleep? Except you're dying or about to die then and only then can you disturb my beauty sleep." I yell.
"Oops." I could hear the laughter trying to escape from her lips which made it more difficult to be mad at her.
"It's not rocket science! It's called a beauty sleep for a damn reason Zikora. How many times do i have to tell you that?"
"Whatever." I could feel her eye roll right now.
"Did you just roll your eyes on me young lady? You lucky you're not close if not my shoe would love to get acquainted with your head. You..." and that's how she rudely cut me short.
"OH please stop been dramatic Daisy. I'm used to your threats you know that right."
"You know what? I just officially give up on you." I heard her laughing. going to end the call and back to my sleep until I heard...
"Jerry is taking me out on a date IN. The. City!" And that woke me up fully as we both screamed like school girls.
"OMG! You need to come here right now. I need full details of how it happened." We both squeal happily.
"I can't believe this. My babies are growing up. How time flies." Faking a sob.
"Bitch." She says before hanging up and I could only laugh at her expression glaring at the poor phone.

I watch as my friend gave me details about her date. Her hand moving as she express every details with profound happiness. I'm just happy for her, well both of them. They deserve each other.
"Well have fun cause I know you will. I'm pretty sure new York will treat you nice with that fine handsome mate of yours." She blushes as I laugh at her red face.
"I just can't wait. So excited." She rest on her elbow grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Well I gotta go. Be good." She say sternly and I happily give her the finger as she blows me a kiss. "Oh and ensure that you rest well cause you look exhausted."
"Why is everyone saying that? I look fine. Very fine." I walk to the vanity table taking a seat. I look fine. Pale but fine. Noticing the lightness of my skin tone. Wow, this is new. It wasn't obvious days ago but now it seems like I'm been drained. Literally.
Twisting my body to carefully look myself at the mirror. Just aside the paleness which makes me tired. I look healthy.
My eyes dart to the hair brush lying close to my hand. With one more attempt I try to make it hang on the air or move or remotely do anything at all. I just stare at it wishing it to move just a bit but nothing happen. After much attempt, feeling dizzy I stood up to go lay on the king size bed only to turn around and found everything hanging on the air. Everything in the room. And the only thing I could say after a loud gasp in shock is...
