The hand never landed on Han Fei’s shoulder; it was firmly sucked in by the darkness that had materialized inside the room.
“The resident of room 1051 seems to be able to merge with the darkness.” Han Fei recalled the black shadow standing in the corridor, faceless and unclad, just a pitch-black silhouette: “The residents in this building really come in all shapes and sizes.”
A deep growl erupted, and Han Fei dared not look back.
He only knew that a conflict had broken out between the ghost following him and the resident of room 1051.
“Fight, fight, hopefully they’ll both be injured, one less to deal with if one dies.”
Han Fei’s mental resilience had become very strong by now.

His shoulder soon touched something, but it didn’t feel like the solid wall; it was more like a person’s belly.
“Is someone standing next to me?

Was he hanging in the room?”
The only thing that brought Han Fei some comfort was that the ghost behind him was still struggling.
He could hear the continuous screams and growls.
In such complete darkness, hearing the ghost’s screams and howls was a comfort to Han Fei.

A lot of the cold wind in the room dissipated, and it seemed like the Ghost following him had suffered a heavy blow.
“No, I was just cheering you on, pull yourself together!” Han Fei panicked too.
The horror level of this room exceeded his imagination.
He couldn’t see anything; it was pitch-black everywhere, with the foul smell of decay permeating the air, feeling like an abandoned morgue.
The sounds of fighting and screams behind him grew fainter, and barely more than ten seconds had passed.
“Are you still there?
Hold on a bit longer!” Han Fei really panicked now.
The Ghost in room 1051 seemed to have a limited range of movement—weak outside the room but strong inside it.
The sounds of fighting slowly turned into banging on the door, and then into the sound of nails scratching on the door.
The Ghost following Han Fei seemed to have given up on him, desperate to leave.
Han Fei hadn’t looked back up to now.
He had no idea what was happening behind him and could only judge by the sounds.
The situation seemed to be getting worse.
If the Ghost following him were to leave, he would have to face this eerie house alone.
Taking advantage of the room’s owner not paying attention to him, Han Fei stepped backward.
The dense darkness almost became tangible, while the Ghost behind Han Fei burst out with an icy, bone-chilling chill.
The focus of their battle was no longer on Han Fei.
Compared to Han Fei, the owner of room 1051 was more eager for the Ghost behind him, and that Ghost had also realized the danger, desperately trying to escape.
The Ghost following Han Fei never intended to enter room 1051, but it was inadvertently calculated by the Ghost of room 1051.

The crack in the door was slowly widening, and the room was getting brighter.
The Ghost behind Han Fei didn’t care about him at all.
