It had only been five minutes since the match began and so far, there had been no shots on the goalkeeper's goalpost as his teammates were still with the ball.
'I just hope we have a better defense here,' Dave thought.
'It's your world, you can make the defense better.' He heard Catherine say in his mind.
'I know, but it wouldn't make any sense if I make the defense strong enough to stop their deadly attacks, that wouldn't be fun for me.'
'And not only that, you wouldn't be able to get the point that I want you to get from the match.' Catherine said.
Dave didn't reply immediately as the match continued.
The ball was played to Mateo from Ferran but before Mateo could do anything, someone closed up on him from behind and muscled him off the ball.
"Oh, Kovatic has taken the ball from him," Jim said.
Kovatic raced down the right wing with the ball before passing it to the central midfielder in the middle.
The player got past Aima with a little touch of skill and pace and now he was racing toward Adolf.
Adolf got ready to stop him, but before the midfielder could get to him, he passed the ball to Asensio who was making his way down the right wing.
Asensio waited for the ball to get to him before flicking it into the box from above with a neat touch.
"That's a neat cross from Asensio," Jim said.
"Yeah, and that could be costly given the fact that Adolf is off his line now," Steve said.
Norman tried to stop Fernandez who was already in the box now but he couldn't do anything as the striker brought the ball down with his chest and kept it away from him with a swift turn.
Jonas raced toward him to try and stop him with a slide but he was too late as he slammed the ball toward the bottom left-hand corner.
[ Ball magnet activated ]
With his skill activated, Dave dived toward the ball to try and stop it, but the shot was just too powerful for his ball magnet skill to do anything.
"Goal!!!!!" Jim screamed. "Fernandez Hernandez has gotten the first goal of the match."
The match continued with Real Madrid totally controlling the game and preventing Unique FC players from doing anything meaningful on their side.
They didn't really care about ball possession, their main goal was to get the ball forward always and that was what led to the many counterattacks Unique FC had faced so far.
The second half concluded with Fernandez scoring one more goal with a beautiful header.
It didn't take long for the second half to kick off because Dave wanted it to start immediately so there really wasn't any break.
The team looked more confident in the second half with Dave making a lot of saves to deny Real Madrid players from scoring the third goal.
"These guys can't give me a break." The goalkeeper muttered after catching a powerful shot that had been shot from outside the box.
He tried to set Mateo up with one of those long balls of his but Kovatic swooped in from behind and stole the ball before it could get to him.
"That guy's a serious problem for Mateo," Dave muttered.
Kovatic stealing the ball from Mateo had led to another attack and this time, it was Fernandez who had shot from outside the box.
"Fernandez!" Jim screamed.
The ball flew straight toward the top left-hand corner and hit the crossbar before falling into the back of the net.
All this happened while Dave was glued to the spot.
"Oh, what a goal!" Jim exclaimed. "Real Madrid has gotten their third and Fernandez has gotten his hat trick!"
Ferran, Mateo, Carlos, and the rest of those on the team who could get forward had been quiet throughout the match.
Mateo had gotten close to scoring twice but one of the shots had gone wide and the other two had been easy saves for the goalkeeper.
The match continued after that wonderful goal from Fernandez.
Unique FC as usual began to hoard the ball trying to draw Real Madrid players out but it ended in them losing the ball from a mistake.
"Oh, this looks promising," Steve said.
Kovatic was racing toward the goal post with the only player available there to stop him being Norman.
Alphonse was racing down the left along with Kovatic and seeing him, an idea popped into the midfielder's mind.
He passed the ball to him before making the run through to receive the ball inside the box but before he could get the ball under control and shoot, Jonas closed up on him from behind and brought him down under a careless challenge.
"Oh, that's not good," Jim said.
The referee blew his whistle before rushing toward Jonas to show him a yellow card.
"This is a very good chance for Real Madrid to increase their lead, they've got a penalty kick," Steve said.
Fernandez had stepped up to take the penalty kick as always and with the striker already on a hat trick, this could be his fourth goal of the game.
'I know this is not real but I am really nervous right now, penalty kicks make me nervous especially when it's coming from someone like him.' Dave said subconsciously.
'That's good, the more real you make it feel the better the impact it will make on you.' Catherine said.
"This could be Fernandez's fourth goal in the match and that would mean that this will be his first time to score four goals in a Champions League match," Jim said. "Can Dave Richards stop him?"
The referee blew his whistle as Fernandez slowly stepped back and let out a deep sigh before racing toward the ball.
He was about to kick the ball when his body suddenly turned into pixels and vanished.
"Huh?" Dave said with a confused expression on his face.
After the player vanished, the ball turned into pixels before vanishing before the rest of the players began to turn into pixels before vanishing along with the fans in the stand and then everything else around him.
"What's going on Catherine?" Dave asked as he watched everything around him disappear.
"You're waking up." Catherine appeared beside him to say. "It could be that you're naturally waking up or something's forcing you to wake up?"
Just as she said that the stadium vanished before his body began to turn into pixels until he was gone.
His consciousness had returned to his body now as he could feel Emma's finger tapping on his forehead.
He slowly opened his eyes to see her over him.
"Hey." He said with a smile. "Good morning."
"Good morning." She said, "What's up with you today?"
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"You are always up before 6:00 PM but what's up with today?" She asked.
As soon as she said that, the goalkeeper quickly picked up his phone and tapped it to see that the time was 7:07 AM.
"How?" He muttered. "I wasn't even there for more than an hour."
