Dave had been lying on his bed for quite a while now without doing anything, he was scrolling through his phone at first but at some point, he had gotten tired and dropped.
He raised his watch to his view to see that the time was an hour and five minutes past noon.
"I should probably go downstairs and see what they are doing." He muttered before slowly getting up from his bed.
He quickly made his way downstairs and just as he walked further down the stairs he could hear steam sounds coming from the kitchen.
He walked into the kitchen to see that the two were busy trying to make something.
Emma seemed to be steaming something over at the gas cooker area while Emilia was helping her chop some vegetables by the side.
"Hi," Emilia said with a smile as soon as she saw him.
Emma also noticed his presence as she turned off the gas cooker and grabbed a cloth to clean her hands before turning to face him.
"I thought you were never going to come down from there." She said,
"I was only up there for like one hour, you guys were busy so I decided to give you some space," Dave said.
"Well, you can always join our busy moments, you can even join us right now," Emma said with a cheeky smile on her face.
"Ugh…..I think I'll pass, I'm really not in the mood to get nagged for something I didn't do right." Slowly stepping out of the kitchen area.
"Oh, what? Now you can't take a little nagging from me?"
"No, it's just that your kitchen nagging is the worst out of all your naggings." He said before turning his gaze to Emilia. "Just do everything she says correctly and you'll survive, I'll be over here."
With that, he quickly zoomed into the living room before Emma could say anything else.
"A good watch time will be okay." He said as he walked toward the couch but just as he was about to sit on it, someone started knocking on the door.
He let out a sigh as he slowly walked to the door and opened it to see someone he wasn't really expecting to see on his doorstep right now.
"Mateo?" He said with a surprised expression on his face.
"What's up?" Mateo said, walking inside as he had fully opened the door for him.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, I had nothing to do so I decided to come see you and my annoying sister, where is she anyway?" He said looking around.
"In the kitchen," Dave muttered.
"Oh," Mateo said quickly, bringing his voice down.
He walked to the kitchen expecting to see his sister alone there, he had no idea that Emilia was also there.
"You didn't tell me my sister from another mother was here," Mateo said as Emilia quickly raised her gaze to see him.
"Mateo?" She said with a surprised expression on her face.
She was quite surprised to see him there and she waited till he had gotten closer until she dropped what she was doing to embrace him.
"Your sister from another mother?" Dave said from where he was standing as he didn't want to enter the kitchen.
"Yeah, Emilia is Emma's twin sister from another mother so that makes her my sister from another mother," Mateo explained.
"You should have seen my parent's reactions the first time she came over, Emma was upstairs so when they saw her my father was like 'What happened to your eyes?' And my mother was like 'What happened to your hair?' They were very confused until Emma came downstairs and then they got more confused." Mateo narrated.
"Did you really have to talk about something no one asked you to talk about?" Emma asked. She had left what she was doing and was facing him now.
"Hey, sis," Mateo said with a smile.
"Why are you here?" Emma asked.
"I just came to see how you're doing but I'm mostly here for Dave." He said.
"Oh, I thought you came to give me a hand in the kitchen," Emma said, turning her gaze to the floor.
"Why would I come all the way from my house to give you a hand in the kitchen?" Mateo said with an awkward expression on his face.
"Umm….Mateo, I think we should leave them to finish what they are doing." Dave said.
"Yeah, we should do that," Mateo said, already walking around the area as he already knew where this was heading.
All this while Emilia had been trying to hold in her laughter and as soon as the two were out of the area she had let the whole thing out.
"Do you really have to scare them like that?"
"Well, if I don't they will stand there and keep and we will never be able to finish on time," Emma said.
"I wonder how you nag them to make them run away like that with the mention of helping you out in the kitchen," Emilia said.
"It's best that you don't know," Emma said before turning to continue what she was doing.
Dave and Mateo had watched a few shows together before Dave had switched it to a football channel to watch some highlights but there weren't any highlights showing at the moment as the Bilbeth Premier League table was displaying on the screen.
Supreme United were topping the table with seventy-seven points after playing thirty-one matches and their thirty-second match of the season was just tonight.
The second position was occupied by Dynamo FC who were on level points with Supreme United but Supreme United could clearly steer clear of them as they had their thirty-second league match to play tonight.
The third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh positions were occupied by Zilo FC, Razid FC, Junami United, Ronino FC, and Spree City respectively.
The eighth place in the table was being occupied by Lesica United who were likely to lose three points tonight as they were facing off against Supreme United.
Unique FC currently occupied the ninth place in the table after their win against Ronino FC last night and Troham United dropping all three points against Dynamo FC.
They were on level points with Troham United, both teams had forty points after winning just ten of their league matches so far while drawing ten and losing twelve but Unique FC had the higher goal difference as they had scored fifty goals while conceding forty while Troham United had scored twenty-five with fifteen goals conceded.
Lesica United were only ahead of them with four points and if they could just find a way to make it past them with just six matches left before the season comes to an end then they would secure a spot for a European competition for the first time in five years.
The UEFA conference wasn't that much of a big competition when compared to the likes of the UEFA Europa League or the UEFA Champions League but for a team like Unique FC, it was a really big competition.
Looking at the table now, Dave was beginning to get a sense of determination, at first he didn't think it was possible but right now he could see himself participating in his first-ever European competition next season.
"Mateo." He called as the table had cleared off from the screen now.
"Yeah," Mateo answered with his eyes glued to his screen as the highlights of their match last night were about to start.
"We have to qualify for the UEFA conference league." He said.
Mateo had slowly turned to him after hearing him say.
"Yeah, we have to but we all have to try our best to do that," Mateo said.
