Chapter 289 The Six Children
Toby Cage walked out of the hall. He got in the car and called Nick Cage.
However, there has been no answer on the line.
Toby Cage clenched his fist and slammed into the steering wheel. He didn't seem to feel pain. His face was extremely gloomy.
A moment later, he picked up his phone and called Kay Tours again.
Kay Tours quickly picked up the phone. Across the street, it came as a slightly official voice, "Why is Master Cage, calling me at this time?"
"Still up?"
Kay Tours smiled helplessly, "I'm working!"
"Where is Nick Cage?" Toby Cage asked suspiciously.
"Mr. Cage? I think he went on a business trip. You can call him, but he should be busy and may not answer the phone. " Kay Tours just said it to death.
Why did Toby Cage call him? As the chief secretary of Mr. Cage, he was still intelligent to figure it out.
"Did he take Veronica Parker with him?" Toby Cage asked patiently.
"I don't know about that." When Kay Tours finished, the words changed. "Master Cage said from the bottom of his heart that Veronica Parker has been with him since he worked at King Group. You know Mr. Cage's attitude even more, so there's no need for the both of you, as brothers, to fight for a woman."
"Are you lecturing me?" Toby Cage's fingers were white as he held his phone.
"No, no, Master Cage. You misunderstood it. I just think that once you let go, it's hard to go back to the past." Kay Tours said. "You've seen that kind of relationship between Veronica Parker and Mr. Cage for a long time. Do you think Veronica Parker will come back to you? The point is, is she willing?"
Kay Tours' words were very critical. Toby Cage forgot to breathe for a moment, then gasped again. His voice was trembling. "Where does Nick Cage go for a business trip?"
"Master Cage, do you think I can say it? This is about my work ethic. " Kay Tours said neither humbly nor arrogantly. He was thinking that he may actually want to chase after him. This was crazy, he thought.
Toby Cage hung up the phone. He was so angry that he almost smashed his phone.
When the taxi driver was on his way back from the night shift, a black car suddenly crossed in front of him. He slammed on the brakes. He would have stuck to the windshield if his seat belt hadn't been fastened.
When he saw the car, he was so afraid that his hands and feet felt weak. He even broke out in sweat.
Fortunately, if that car hit him, he would have to sell the house in order to pay for it.
The driver opened the door to get out of the car. As soon as the lock was opened, he was rudely pulled by the driver of the other car outside. He was pulled out and fell to the ground.
When he saw the man coming out of the Rolls-Royce car, he was so scared that he forgot to get up.
Veronica Parker didn't go out in the house with the six little boys and Isabella. At most, she hanged out on the balcony.
She was just waiting for Josh to recover and leave.
"Mom, let's go down and play!" Peter ran over and said that.
The other five little ones also leaned over. Six pairs of big eyes looked brightly at Veronica Parker, with longing.
Why didn't Veronica Parker go out? She was afraid of being seen. Besides, there was surveillance in every corner of the community. It is always good to be cautious from the face of the powerful Nick Cage.
"Now? Why don't you wait for Josh to recover before playing? " Veronica Parker consulted with them.
"Mom, I'm so pissed off. " Josh put his little hands on his chest and said weakly.
"Well, shall we go and play after dinner?" Veronica Parker couldn't resist the little look they longed for.
"Okay!" The six little boys responded happily, bouncing about.
Veronica Parker knew that she was doing the wrong thing through getting them locked up in the house. She was all worried at the lively and lovely children.
It should be fine to take them out for a while at night to see if Josh was really well.
