Chapter 268 I Will Try to Make You Happy

With that, she turned around and left.
Upstairs, Veronica entered the room and was about to close the door when it was blocked by a big hand, startling her.

Climbing over to get the phone, Veronica went to check who the caller is. Then she froze.
It was Toby!
What if Nick found out that Toby was calling her?
When she was about to press the call to try to fool him, a big hand reached out the phone and pressed the speaker for her.
Toby's voice was immediately heard. "I'm at the gate of your neighborhood. Come out."
"Didn't I tell you not to call me? I'm not at home either." Veronica informed nervously.
"I'm not at the door of Sunshine apartment."
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean. You have ten minutes. If you don't come down, I'll meet you at the fifth floor myself." With that, the phone was hung up before Veronica Parker could speak further.
