Looking at the projection was a being that had the body of a human. Still, it was nothing but one, a mind beyond normal people, enough money to rule a nation, and powers that could rival gods, his body covered in a grey armour and in a green cloak, he is a human who ascended humanity to reach the realm of the powerful ones.
'His presence is a surprise, he is a variable about which I know very little.' The being thinks as he watches a supposed 'hero' rebuild Notre Dame from rubble, his magical presence being something he had only ever felt from some of the strongest and purest magical materials on earth.
He felt like a part of the magic itself, like his body was nothing more than a construct of magic, and he was the medium through which magic was used, a shell for something beyond the scope of any magician's mind, but not the mind of this being.
' The only similar thing that has happened was the disappearance of the satanic cult in Italy two weeks ago, nature seemingly having taken control over the whole building.'
His body shifted as he rose from his throne, each of his steps breaking the silence in the room, his mind already spinning with possibilities and ideas on how to defeat such an opponent and how to use his body as material.
' I will be ready, Victor Von Doom is always ready.'

" He is dangerous." A masculine voice said in the middle of a room made of metal, on one side, a window showed that the room was located way above the ground.
" He is a kid." Another voice said as a counter to the first one.
" A kid who has shown a level of growth that would make no sense from the little information we have gathered on his powers."
" That doesn't change. He is a kid, his emotions were kept under control the whole time." Another voice added to the second voice to defend the "kid"
" That is the most frightening thing, a 18 year old kid, kept his emotions under control during the whole situation where he met enemies and, from what he said, enemies that raped his mind and tried to control him." A feminine voice added.
" We are talking about a kid who has discovered he had powers no more than 3 months ago, defended himself against enemies that he thought as family, and is only now healing from all the scars in his life, you all read the same file I did on him." The second voice said, his tone now having subtle anger behind it, the metal table bending under his grip.
" What he went through is horrible b-"
" But nothing, we were there, we killed the aliens and then left, I am only thinking about all the civilians who could have evaded death if only we stayed and helped, but instead we went to eat." His jaw clenched, his eyes unable to hide the anger he had against everyone in the room, but mostly against himself.
" We did what we could, Shield agents searched the area all day, he was unlucky enough to be inside one of the more damaged buildings that they were unable to look inside of until made safe." The first voice spoke, in his tone, though there was doubt, maybe he had wished to do more, but he couldn't, no one will ever know because this doubt wasn't witnessed by anyone in the room.
" And the things that happened later? The people that survived the invasion should have received compensation, but he received nothing; not a single penny was ever given to him."
" I have no control over how government money is spent-" The first voice calmly tried to reply, only to get roughly interrupted
" HE TRIED TO KILL HIMSELF."
The room fell into silence, the heaviness of the subject falling into everyone's stomach for a very long second.
" Are we even heroes if we couldn't even save a kid from becoming this?"
"... I don't know." The black man with a bandage said, with a hint of doubt in his face, to the blond man.
Silence fell once again inside the room of the Helicarrier.
" I'm going to fucking kill him." A very well-known, annoying cyclops said after using his laser to destroy another hologram shaped like a very handsome gamer.
" Calm down, Scott, he only got you because you were angry."
" The next time I meet him I'll-"
" He didn't lie." A redhead said after getting inside the room.
"What?" That made the cyclops stop and look at her.
" He didn't lie, I can't be sure his mind, but I am still able to tell if he is lying or not pretty easily, not for one second did he ever lie to us."
" Then what, are you saying that Xavier is..." He stopped himself, the words unable to even come out of his mouth.
" I am not saying he said the truth, but he said something that he honestly thinks is the truth, we know how he reacts to telepaths, and the last time I met him he was getting very good at protecting his mind, so it's unlikely that someone changed his memory to make him think something not real."
" But that would mean..."
" I don't know what it means, I only know that Adrian was a good person to us till the night he left, he has never done anything to hurt anyone of us, aside Scott but he kind of wasbeing a dick-"
" Regardless, I am not saying we should trust him, but let's at least look into it."
The room filled with teens fell into silence as the possibility of their teacher being a villain settled in their minds.
" Then what are you supposed to do?"
"... Is anyone ready for a telepathy session with me?"
" FUCK" I instictly shouted as I evaded a zombie from biting me, following up by opening a portal below him and making him fall from 10 meters up, turning him into a pancake.
' This new dungeon is no joke, the normal zombies are no problem, but the fuck thought that they would evolve?'
As I was about to check my stats, I sneezed.
'Is someone thinking about me?
