Multiversal Friendship System Chapter 226

Although Najenda really wanted to roast the god for being lazy, she knew better than to run her mouth. "I understand. Thank you, Lord God, for your mercy toward this world." After bowing respectfully, she asked the most crucial question: "Then, Lord God, what would you like us, the Revolutionary Army to do?" Surely the reason they'd been brought here wasn't just for a long-winded explanation? In response, Souta's head gave a slight shake—just two small, lazy movements. Najenda felt mentally exhausted. Communicating with a god was such a pain. Everywhere was this "I'll give you a look, you figure it out yourself" atmosphere. Thankfully, the Path of Peace's, the Lord, as their designated interpreter, understood immediately: "What my Lord means is... this world does not need the Revolutionary Army!" "...What!?" Najenda blurted out in shock. Behind her, Akame and Bulat instinctively tensed up, going on high alert. "Why?" Najenda asked, confused. "Since Lord God seeks peace, shouldn't our Revolutionary Army's ideals align perfectly with His?" "Miss Najenda, please, don't be alarmed," the leader said gently. "My Lord's goal is to reform the Empire— to eliminate corruption and create a land where people can live in peace. The Revolutionary Army's goal, however, is to overthrow the Empire— a much more violent approach, one that would cause endless bloodshed and chaos. My Lord believes that internal reform is the best path." Najenda found herself at a loss for words. the other side was telling the truth. "Lord God, there's something you may not know," Najenda said after thinking for a moment: "Currently, the Empire is completely under the Minister's control. Reforming it from the inside is utterly impossible." "Honest, Budo, Esdeath— I am aware of them all." Souta suddenly mentioned three names. Najenda looked at him, startled. He continued in a calm, detached voice: "The ones you cannot deal with, I can easily eliminate. The god, normally so stingy with his words, had spoken two full sentences. Najenda suddenly felt nervous. Was he getting irritated? Despite a growing sense of urgency, Najenda couldn't just make a decision on the spot. Even if their goals were aligned, she had fought and bled for the Revolutionary Army for so long. She couldn't just turn her back on everything overnight. she still hadn't fully trusted this being yet. "It seems you doubt whether I can truly do it," Souta said, standing up from his throne. Maybe it was because his divinity had strengthened his genetic optimization— but his appearance was now beyond extraordinary. No matter what angle you looked from, his form was breathtakingly beautiful, almost painfully perfect. Chelsea sometimes caught herself fangirling over him. Thus, when Souta stood up, all eyes were unconsciously drawn to him. But because the spiritual pressure radiating from him was so overwhelming, no one dared look him in the eye. Standing atop the stairs, Souta looked down at the three revolutionaries. His gaze crushed down on them. "Need me to prove it, is that it?" "If... If you really can kill the Minister," Akame suddenly stepped forward, enduring the immense pressure. She met Souta's gaze directly and said: "I am willing to return to the Empire and serve you." Najenda shouted, warning her to remember her Revolutionary Army allegiance. "I joined the Revolutionary Army to make the lives of the people better. If a god can achieve that more easily— then why would I refuse?" "Oh my, little Akame, you really understand what's important. Good, good, you chose the right side." Chelsea, standing beside the throne, suddenly stepped down, placing a hand on Akame's shoulder with a wide grin. Joining us is way more reliable than sticking with the Revolutionary Army." Akame awkwardly pushed Chelsea's hand away. "Haha, getting shy? So cute." Chelsea laughed playfully and said without filter: "Our God is super strong, you know? Getting rid of the Minister is just a flick of His hand. Besides, a lot of folks in the Revolutionary Army want to be the next emperor. Even if you overthrow the Empire, internal strife is guaranteed. Don't think too highly of the Revolutionary Army, little Akame." Najenda tried to stop her from speaking recklessly. But then she remembered— Chelsea was no longer her subordinate. She was now a Saintess. Najenda said carefully. "I'm not speaking nonsense," "Revolutionary Army even allied with the foreign tribes, remember? You think their leaders really have the people's best interests at heart? You know exactly what those tribes have done at the Empire's borders." Najenda's brows furrowed deeply. She didn't want to admit it, cooperating with the alien tribes had indeed been a terrible decision. She herself had opposed it at the time, but her influence was too small to change the leadership's mind. At that moment, Souta called her name. "Ah, apologies, my God. I interrupted Your speech." Chelsea immediately straightened up and returned to stand respectfully behind him. Souta folded his hands behind his back, his gaze falling once again on Najenda and the others. The pressure returned in full force. His lips curved into a faint smile— Whether it was mocking or disdain, "Very well," he said, "I am in good spirits today. A little bit of indulgence... I will allow." He raised one hand, pointing it toward the air. "I require Night Raid's cooperation to help my followers purge the Empire's corruption. I will not repeat myself. Gather them all—let them hear this." Najenda stared at Souta's gesture, a wild thought flashing through her mind. He's not... seriously about to teleport the others here too, is he? Just like he did with them? While Najenda was still guessing, Souta snapped his fingers. A golden force unfolded in the void, smooth as a mirror, revealing a distant scene. It showed a house hidden deep within the forests. Najenda's eyes widened. That's... our Night Raid base! So that's where you're hiding..." Souta said lightly, hooking his finger. four figures appeared in the hall. The remaining four Night Raid members. For Souta, scanning the positions of ordinary people and teleporting them was nothing. With the divine kingdom floating above him constantly absorbing faith, the energy cost was negligible. But for Najenda and the others, this was nothing short of a miracle. Najenda's face changed dramatically. The rest of Night Raid... they were near the Imperial Capital! And he just casually teleported them here? Which meant, if Souta wanted, he could bury them all alive just by teleporting them underground. PS: The comments section turned into a war zone again. Decided to edit out/deal with any original parts causing arguments. Guys, let's chill and focus on enjoying the story.
