Putting away her phone, Titus Zane stood up and walked towards the door.
She was too naive; she should not have believed a man who hated her to the bone.
Just as she turned around, it seemed someone was calling her from behind.
"Miss Zane, please wait a moment."
Instinctively, Titus Zane stopped, turned around, and saw Ewan Zimmerman approaching quickly with a smile on his face.
Upon reaching Titus Zane, without any pleasantries or greetings, he stretched out his arm directly, "The president has instructed me to come down to fetch you. Please follow me."
Three years ago, Ewan Zimmerman’s hostility towards her baffled Titus Zane. Similarly, his courtesy now also surprised her.
Following Ewan Zimmerman into the president’s exclusive elevator, the elevator stopped at the president’s office floor, the doors opened, and Ewan Zimmerman again extended his arm politely and said "please", as Titus Zane slightly curved her lips with indifference and stepped out.
"The president is still working in that office, as you know." Ewan Zimmerman didn’t leave the elevator, and after giving this instruction, the doors closed in front of Titus Zane and descended once again.
Titus Zane blinked in confusion, sneered, and walked towards Nathan Moore’s office.
Three years had passed, and there was little change here; it was still the layout from three years ago.
Stopping in front of the president’s office door, Titus Zane raised her hand and knocked. A low, unemotional voice sounded.
"Come in." Titus Zane pushed the door and entered. Inside the office, Nathan Moore was buried in his work at the desk.
For a split second of astonishment, holding the doorknob, Titus Zane stood at the entrance, without taking a further step.
Nathan Moore had changed into a different outfit, not the casual leather jacket he was wearing when he left in the morning.
A black suit, white shirt, dark checked tie, and neatly arranged black hair, as meticulous as his serious demeanor now.
They say a man who is focused on his work is the most charming. Titus Zane had no personal experience with this statement, but she could tell that Nathan Moore’s mood didn’t seem very good.
"Come in, I don’t need a door god here." Nathan Moore was still heads down in his work, a sharp-tongued comment spilling from his thin lips.
With a quiet sigh, Titus Zane stepped forward and closed the office door behind her.*
Standing opposite Nathan Moore, Titus Zane waited for him to hand over the items she needed.
But Nathan Moore still continued to work, seemingly forgetting her presence.
Five minutes later, Titus Zane tapped her fingers on the desk, "You didn’t call me here to stand as punishment, did you?"
Only then did Nathan Moore lift his handsome face, closing the folder in his hands, his thin lips carrying an emotion that Titus Zane couldn’t understand, "Seems like you have some self-awareness."
Even with a good temperament, she couldn’t help losing her temper.
"Nathan Moore, is it fun to trick people ?"
"Last night, was it fun for you guys to play a trick on me?" Nathan Moore raised his eyebrow in response, his thin lips curling into a cold smirk.
Titus Zane was at a loss for words, licking her lips, even though it wasn’t her intention, she hadn’t stopped Jon when he did that.
At a loss for how to explain, Nathan Moore’s voice sounded again, "Come here."
Titus Zane lifted her eyes, meeting Nathan Moore’s dark gaze, the undisturbed and intense light tightly locking onto her.
Perhaps because of being cornered by Nathan Moore in the bathroom last night, Titus Zane felt a bit guilty and nervous.
Licking her lips, she intended to ask flirtatiously what he wanted, but when she opened her mouth, she stammered a bit.
"Don’t you want it anymore?" Nathan Moore reclined lazily in his executive chair, absentmindedly twirling his signing pen in his hand.
Desiring what she came for, Titus Zane had no choice but to walk around the desk towards him.
