Here’s what happened.
I recently stockpiled some sacrificial power, planning to use it to improve my Body Refining Level and to hunt in my Main Form later on.
To save on Body Refining Experience enhancement costs, I’d often scour the Trading House for bargains, specifically targeting Spirit Plants that were cheaper than cost price.
Today, I spotted a new special product "gene seed" in the custom items section of the Trading House.
The product description indicated that consumption could increase Body Refining Level but would cause bodily harm during the enhancement process. I thought, what’s there to fear from damage, even if my limbs break, I can be reborn through resurrection.
After consulting Guidance, I confirmed that I could indeed gain more Body Refining Experience than the cost, so I spent 380 sacrificial power points to buy one.
This decision made me regret it so much that I turned green with envy.
Initially, I didn’t take it seriously; in my mind, I was even thinking about hunting with the team later.
But the feedback from the strengthening gave me a lesson.
