There are three people.
There might be more than what I am sensing isn't actual people, but the marks they have left behind.
I call them stealth marks.
Normal people think that stealth barely leaves behind any traces, but they are wrong. Even stealth methods leave behind the traces.
They are just very difficult to find them.
I didn't immediately enter inside as the place is dangerous, with many broken buildings and broken formations.

It's not surprising; there are thousands of them. It is the first one, I have come across, but I will come across many of them as I go deeper into these caves.

Soon, I reached the building and the big hole.

Though I can tell, I would be easily able to pass through it.
I tried my soul sense once more, but it was too damn powerful. Even with the forbidden power, it wasn't able to breach through it.
I wanted to push more forbidden power into it. I think, it might be able to pass through it them, but that is extremely risky.
A risk, I rather not take, seeing they are hunting for the forbidden power.
They had brought tools and all.
Still, the cautiousness is necessary. So, I slowly pushed my hands into the screen.
Even my soul sense couldn't go through it. My hand could. Once it entered the other side, I could release the soul sense and see what was happening.
My hands touched the screen, and my expression changed drastically.
I felt the pull from it, and it was powerful.
I activated my full power without hesitation, but even that was able to only slow it down. It didn't stop it.

I had expected many things, but I didn't expect that.
Seeing that, I resisted even harder, but the screen kept pulling me inside me.
Soon, my entire arm went inside, and my head started until one side of it reached the other side.
There, I saw an old man looking at me with a grin.
Around him are the bones. I didn't have to guess the kind of bones they were. One glance is enough to tell that they are the bones of people, and the man had eaten them.
My first thought was that he was a cultist. There are some cults, that eat people.
That thought lasted for a fraction of a second. Until I detected the hint of aura that the very world seemed to detest.
The old man is no cultist. He is a corrupted.
It's been a while since I came across one of his kind. Not for my friend, he and his family aren't man-eaters.
He is the reason why, corrupted are hunted without exception.
He is a category of the pair; I had come across. They wanted to eat me after they finished with me, and they could have. If not for me vaporizing them through the broken formation.
Still, I had not expected it. I would come across one.
The old man looked human in his late sixties, with thick white hair and deep blue eyes.
He is an Initial Prime, but there seemed to be no fear across his face for me and that scared me.
"I was about to leave after cleaning up, but you came. It seemed like fortune wants me to leave fully satiated," he said as I fully entered the other side.

"It seemed like, you ate two. Who had come before?" I said to that he nodded.

"And you planned to eat me?" I asked. "Yes, very much. I haven't eaten a person from the other world before," he replied.
"I heard you had law powers that are sealed. That would make you even more delicious," he added, looking at the runes floating around me.
"I am afraid, I am not something. You could digest it easily. You will not be able to, even if I just sit down and let you have your way," I said, and this time, I smiled.
He understood what I meant, and his eyes became serious and more focused on the runes.
"That might be true, but you had seen me. So, now either you will die or I," he said and simply disappeared.
One moment he was standing there, another moment. He vanished without a trance
Nobody had ever vanished in my soul sense like that. It shocked me and also scared me because I knew what enabled it.
I just thought that when I felt all the hair on my body rise up.
My sword appeared in my hand, and I activated the full power of the burst as I spun.
It is an extremely dangerous attack. If I didn't defend myself, I would die.
