"It is as you are speculating young one, I am the one who was meeting with your mom, Indigo never knew he had a daughter until recently," Gerald declared as he called one of his men.
"Kill him," he growled.
"Kill who? What are you saying?” I yelled as I grabbed his collar.
"Kill fuckin who?" I repeated.
"You don't need him anyway, let us start with the people that you don't need first.." he continued.
Did he mean my dad? Jack? Who the fuckin does he mean?
"No don't just don't please..." I begged.
"I have to prove to you that I am not just throwing empty threats..." he explained.
"I know so stop, I know..." I cried, he was getting on my nerves playing with my head.
I do not wish to be the reason for anyone's death, let me play along with him until I decide what I should do...
"The first on the list is Jack and your dad in case you were thinking about escaping, within 12 hours if you didn't come back, it will be your brother and Diana next..." he announced coldly as ice, tears rolled down my cheeks and my face was burning.
"You are the one who mom was talking about, a cold man whom she feels with that she is in a cold and damp place. Why did you stop giving her money?" I asked while sobbing.
"She was broken, I knew she didn't have the will to fight anymore, also I threatened her with your life... It was easy to get rid of her,"
"Because you didn't want Indigo to take care of me?"
"Or did he not want to?" I added.
"He was so soft; I didn't want him to ruin his reputation for some trash on the street. In addition, he would have included you in his will, I was right when I hid you from him, although at the end, he gave everything to you," Gerald confessed.
"Cruel..." I cried.
"I should say the same to you, don't you think that your existence did nothing but inconvenience all those around you. I would have left your mom as his mistress if she did not get pregnant but I could not afford to do that when she had you. I didn't want my brother to throw away his wealth to someone who doesn't deserve it, especially that he wished for a kid his whole life,"
Gerald was venting his secrets; he told me everything exposing every little detail. When Indigo discovered by chance what his brother has been up to, he removed him from the will mentioning that I inherit everything.
"My brother was nice to the point that he didn't understand that leaving everything to you would never make you happy since I wouldn't allow it... He overestimated my love for him,"
I fell to the floor in despair...
"What do you want from me?" I asked.
"As I have mentioned before, you will marry my son in two days. You can't tell him anything about what I have just told you, he is nice like his uncle and won't accept forcing you into this marriage,"
"Let's see, how about we bet on Tony and John's life for this one,"
"I understand, I won't let him know a thing," I replied as I stood up now.
"Do not forget that you will have to keep quiet..."
"Okayyyy, I said fuckin okay, just leave me the fuck alone now," I burst out.
He was taken aback by my reaction but he did not comment on it, I got out of his office and headed to my room. I shut the door behind me... I can't believe I got caught in such a plot.
This is why I did not want to make any friends from the beginning, which is what my brother warned me from as well.

He was right, I do not have the luxury to worry over others' lives when I should worry about mine first. I can't do anything now, I have been trapped already. I have to marry the person I do not think I can like anymore, he will be able to use my money and company as he wishes and I will be thrown away after being totally used.
"I don't mind though, if that means I would be free afterward then I don't give a shit. I never asked for that man's money anyway." I mumbled to myself.
I will tolerate a few months until all legal paperwork is finished and I will leave this shithole forever. My mom and biological dad failed to protect me, I will protect myself on my own, I thought. I had to encourage myself so I won't break down, I cannot give up now.
"Are you okay?" Jessy asked from the slight open of the room.
"No, I am not okay, Jessy," I cried.
Her question stimulated my tears, I started crying again. Jessy closed the door behind her as she walked up to me pulling me in a tight hug, I spent half an hour or so staining her white dress with my tears. She was patting on my shoulder and caressing my cheeks.
I never believed in fantasies, I grew up reading stories about tragedy and life struggle. I never read the stories of Cinderella, snow-white, or princess aurora so I know very well that fantasy is not a real-life category.
