“Let go of me,” I said and then turn my gaze away. This man was still holding me for a minute now. His right arm was supporting my back while his left hand was gently wrapping my nape.
It looks like he doesn’t intend to break our current situation, and it’s giving me another weird feeling. I was amazed by how his emotions change in a short period.
Earlier, he was like a volcano that’s about to explode because of unpleasantness but right now, I don’t know how to describe his current expression, and he looks like enjoying the situation. Is it funny tormenting an innocent bird like me? Yes, and I’m doing metaphor on myself now.
“What a nice and perfect view for the newlywed!” The place was filled with an overexcited voice coming from our back. Since this man holding me has no plans on letting go of my body, I pushed him aggressively.
If I don’t use full force, then I can’t break free from his muscular arms. I didn’t fail and successfully broke from his arms, and without any hesitations, I looked back, only finding a man standing near the entrance.
He was smiling like an idiot with wide-open arms welcoming an empty presence on his body. He was like giving a hug to someone who wins a jackpot in a lottery. I didn’t notice the front door that could accommodate a family of giraffes.
He was wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt paired with khaki shorts. This newly arrived man has weird taste in clothes. It’s not yet summer, but his outfit was like he’s already spending the atmosphere of hot weather.
And what did he say? Newlywed? Who? Me and this man in front of me? Actually, I don’t even know this man’s name, so impossible that this man was referring us.
“Elliott,” I heard the man in front of me said with the lowest tone of voice. I don’t know, but I find it more intimidating than the tone he used earlier. His baritone voice itself was already that frightening, but there’s more than that!
“Reign!” The man named Elliot exclaimed and rush his steps in our direction. He was like a puppy wanting to give a hug to his owner.
I already claimed the name of the man in front of me. So, his name was Reign. I looked at him and caught his eyes glued at me. This Reign was ignoring Elliott’s presence rushing to him and just continued giving that intense stare. When will he stop looking at me like that?
“Oh!” Eliott hissed when he already reached our direction. I turned my gaze at him. Elliot was panting but still wearing the idiotic smile on his face.
“What are you doing here?” Reign asked him and held my arms carefully. It wasn’t like before that pulled me forcibly. He suddenly pulled me onto his back. It seems like not wanting Elliott to see me.
I didn’t expect him to move his hands downward, tracing my arms down to my palm than a sudden intertwining of our fingers.
I was surprised about his actions, so I immediately looked at him. I was greeted by its broad back and well-shaped body. Obviously, this man did not lack self-care.
“It’s obvious! I wanted to congrats you for the succ--”
“Shut up.” Elliott didn’t finish what he was going to say because Reign’s words interrupted him. It was a tone of warning and containing total obedience.
The place became quiet. I don’t have any clue about their facial expressions. Besides, it’s not my business to know anyway.
I wanted to pull my hands off from him, but he was holding mine gently and tight. So, instead of trying to break free from him, I just looked at the maids. They’re still bowing their heads. They might forget to breathe because of their own steadiness.
I silently sigh and then roamed the place with my eyes. The whole place was decorated by a cozy, neutral coffee and cream mixed with a particular furnishing.
There’s pendant lighting in each corner of the wall. I didn’t notice earlier about its portentous presence. Everyone’s approach will be captivated by this well-designed home.
I continued roaming my eyes, and yes, even if this is just a part of the house, it already takes my time to thoroughly inspect everything. I can’t even express the luxurious materials used to build this heavenly-like home.
I don’t know how to describe the character of this place, but all I can say is that the designer of this home has colossal creativity and experience in this field.
Starting from superior quality, connecting the deluxe fabrics with a sophisticated clientele. Being talented can’t describe the designer of this home. This is a mere practical solution than realizing the hidden potential!

“What?!” I was pulled out from my own amusement when Reign’s voice filled the whole place. It even echoed. Also, he suddenly let go of my hand, making me face their daily direction.
I don’t know what they are talking about, but it seems that it’s a bit important regarding Reign’s reaction. Not the face tho since his back was still facing my direction.
“Yes! You need to visit before something happened to that girl. If ever, I know someone won’t let you off the hook and blame you for sure. Worst, someone will hate you!” said Elliott with excitement in his voice, then immediately peeked at me. I just frowned at him as he gave me a strange look.
“And if I found out that you are making stories, you won’t get away from this. I don’t want to believe since you are enjoying this, but I need to make sure about your information,” It looks like it was really a meaningful discussion. Is it illegal? Legal? Or is it about the auction and underworld thing? Well, it’s not on my hands.
Reign suddenly turned his body in my direction. I don’t know what, but I’m curious. There’s a worried look on his face while looking at me. He didn’t let me talk and then suddenly put his hands on both sides of my shoulders.
“Thraia!” He yelled, but his eyes were focused on me. Honestly, I’m currently stopping my breathing. For Pete’s sake! His face was only half inches away from mine. I can even witness how worried he was. Well, maybe it’s really an important matter.
But the most important thing right now is for me to breathe. Yes, I’m just holding my breathe because every air I exhale will be directed to Reign’s face! He was this close, and I can’t even move. I was frozen, glued to the floor. A paralyzed rocket.
“Y-Yes, m-master?” I heard the voice of a woman coming from my back. I think it’s one of the maids lined up earlier. I’m not sure, but it’s clear that the owner of this stuttering voice is maybe a teenage or freshly graduate student.
I’m afraid to move! His hands were still placed on my shoulders, and I can’t take my eyes away from him. I can also smell his masculine perfume, especially his menthol-like breathe.
“Bring her to Letty. Take care of her. I want her cleaned and dressed properly when I came back,”
Dressed properly? Why? Am I not dressed appropriately?
I looked down to see what I’m wearing. I almost dropped my jaw when I’m just wearing a loose white polo shirt. What the heck. I didn’t notice these informal clothes, and I can’t believe that I broke the awkward situation between Reign and me.
I was shocked when soft skin brushes my forehead. Reign kissed my forehead when I was about to look up. Then, with that, he immediately turned his back from me and took steps to the entrance. He was like rushing while getting something in his pocket.
It feels like the time skipped when he suddenly reached the entrance synchronized by pulling his phone out from his pocket then placed it on his ears. I don’t know what happened next. He suddenly disappeared from my sight.
I sigh. Well, it’s the best without Reign’s presence. No more fears and embarrassment. I was about to turn my body when again, someone suddenly put his arms on my shoulders. It was Elliott.
“This is nice. We’re finally alone together!” He said while flashing a grin. What?
