The ever-considerate Misha gave Alain and Millie some time alone, while she went to make a late-night snack for the members of their little family.
Millie slapped Alain firmly on the back and couldn't help but exclaim, "I really thought some sudden incident would mess up the confession for sure this time!"
"...There was a sudden incident. But all in all, I still accomplished my goal."
Alain nodded. He had managed to draw out the perpetrator behind the dream, gaining a rough understanding of his future enemy's abilities; and he had also successfully confessed to Misha.
It was as if a long-held matter in his heart had finally been settled.
"Whoa! Not bad, not bad! That's awesome."
Looking at the cap-wearing girl's smiling face, Alain was a bit confused about what she actually wanted with him.
But seeing Millie occasionally hesitate to speak and deliberately try to make conversation, he pretty much understood.
"Want to kiss again?"

"Besides, didn't I already agree?"
Her two rhetorical questions left Alain slightly stunned. "Where did your sense of guilt go?"
"I thought you'd be a little more restrained tonight, on the night of the confession," Alain said.
Hearing this, Millie spaced out for a few seconds, then suddenly remembered something.
She clutched her chest, repeatedly glancing at the night sky, wanting to say something but not knowing where to start. "You... haven't you been wanting to for a while?"
Alain instantly recalled that before entering the game world last time, it seemed he did have some kind of agreement with Millie.
Man, my bro is so lewd. To be this bold on the very first day after his confession to Misha...

Unwilling to give up, Millie used 'Gyro Body Spin.'
"Holy shit?! You can do that?"
Alain entered phase two.
"Hahaha! Bro, you stopped talking, you lose!"
Alain used 'Marshmallow Offensive.'
"Whoa, whoa! Who kneads like that?!"
The two of them fought from the center of the balcony to a corner, and the battle finally ended with Millie's cry for mercy.
"Haah, haah, haah... that killed me, I'm covered in sweat."
She took off her hat, strands of hair sticking to her fair, sweaty cheeks.
"You... finally let go."
Alain was bent over; though victorious, he was just as disheveled.
So damn hard right now. It was the perfect real-life example of 'getting stopped halfway through.'
"My body's been in too good of shape lately."
Alain sat down beside her, looking out at the city's nightscape.
"Tch. Bragging about yourself, so shameless."
"But still, you were pretty awesome today."
The girl patted his shoulder encouragingly.
"Now that you've won over my best friend, I'm safe too~"
She cheered herself on, "After this, I just need to secretly mention to Misha that I... also accidentally got together with you, and it'll be fine!"
Pinching the girl's small cheek, Alain thought about the 'bonus' Millie had given him a few days ago right after he came out of the game world.

But the cap-wearing girl just turned her head in confusion and looked at him.

He saw his own back falling away, separating from him.
"Let's meet... inside." He heard a voice say.
He was swallowed by the screen.
