As the girl's hands fumbled in front of her, she touched a switch in the corner. With a click, the lights turned on.
A crimson light poured into every corner of the room, flowing to the far end. As expected of me, the lighting idea is great. I can use this for my next prank. Prankster Mita clicked her tongue in appreciation and nodded with satisfaction.
And then she saw the monster standing in the center of the room.
Below a pale white human head were eight long, narrow spider legs. In the space between the legs and the body was a large mass of black liquid.
Ohhh, I remember now! So I set up the monster from version 1.3B! She slapped her forehead in sudden realization. Right... this kind of monster isn't just powerful, even my girlish heart can't handle it at all. It's simply har—

The monster remained where it was, not moving forward. But its shadow, under the illumination of the crimson light, was projected across half the room. It was only then that the door opened. Alain's urging voice and the normal white light of the hallway flooded in, completely dispelling the monster's intimidating aura.
It was just a life-sized monster figurine.
Alain walked over to her, completely unfazed, and held out a hand. "What's wrong, Big Sister?" He only then noticed the monster figurine. "What is this? It's a little scary."

So embarrassing... This is too embarrassing! It happened again! She thought she would scare Alain, but in the end, she was the one who got the most scared! And what was with his response?! His assessment of the super-scary monster... was "a little scary"? Did he mean it wasn't super scary?! She glanced at the player. He was casually observing the life-sized figurine, but aside from that one comment, he showed no other reaction. She was so scared her body went limp, yet he was acting like nothing happened! What was with this guy's courage?! There was no way he could have known she was going to prank him!
"Big Sister, are you okay?"
Alain smiled. It looked like a smile of concern, but in reality, he thought this child was just too cute.
"I-I'm fine... Player, help me up first."
"Okay." After being helped up by Alain, the girl suddenly realized something. She subconsciously pulled at her skirt, her face burning a frightening shade of red.
The next second, an even more intense downpour of tears streamed down, soaking the cloth of Alain's shoulder.
"Huh? What's wrong all of a sudden?" Alain was genuinely worried now, patting her back comfortingly. "Don't cry, don't cry."
"I-it's nothing, sob... sniff..."
