Although several hundred years had left it in ruins, looking no different from a shell of a house, Yvette, especially with the diligent cleaning and repairs done by the maid Abella, managed to make it livable.
In the third year, on a summer afternoon, waking up from bed and glancing at the picturesque view outside the presidential suite window, Yvette waved her hand. On the table, three magically sealed tomes immediately came to life, hovering around Yvette and speaking in unison: “Good morning, the great sorceress Miss Yvette. How may we serve you today?”
“Go check if Abella is awake. If she isn’t, wake her up; if she is, ask her to make me fish soup. And only one of you needs to go.”
“Understood, the great sorceress Miss Yvette,” the three tomes replied, before all flying toward the door.
Ultimately, as the Tome of Wind Magic flew the fastest, the Tome of Flame Magic and the Tome of Pure Blue Magic had to stop early and return to the table, settling upright like two ordinary spellbooks.
Seeing the performance of the three tomes, Yvette felt somewhat satisfied. Unlike the mechanical golems, these tomes were pure AI-controlled without any spiritual entities.
To ensure the AI was compatible with the spells she had inscribed, she had written a dedicated driving system for them—a task that took considerable time over the past three years. Fortunately, having read the Detailed Explanation of Spell Framework Engines years ago, she could simplify many processes through analogy; otherwise, it might not have been completed by next year.
With the Tome of Wind Magic stirring up trouble, Abella, who slept in the adjacent room, quickly got up and drowsily headed downstairs to prepare breakfast.
She had now nearly recovered to a third-stage level and didn’t need to cook three meals a day. However, she had initially put in a great deal of effort to please her master with her culinary skills, resulting in Yvette developing a taste for her cooking. Dugrabi was taking a break here. It loved the lush ambiance, feeling as though it had returned to the island forests of the Dragon Kingdom. Hearing some noise, it opened its eyes slightly and saw its teacher standing in a flowerbed, blue and purple butterflies flitting around her like whimsical spirits amidst the blossoms.
“Uh… Teacher, what brings you here… Shouldn’t today be a day off?” Dugrabi asked nervously.
“These three are for you,” Yvette said, and the three tomes immediately received the mental command and flew before Dugrabi. “Input some information, and I’ll grant you access.”
“Ah? For me?” Dugrabi was taken aback. It had long yearned for the “original texts” of its teacher’s elemental tomes, which could release spells automatically without needing to think—what was the point of studying hard before?
But it couldn’t believe it was really being given these!
“They were initially prepared for you,” Yvette stated.
This was, in fact, true. For her, what mattered was the knowledge within, upgrading the tomes into magical equipment was more about practicing and validating her understanding of magical engineering than truly needing them.
And what if Dugrabi accidentally damaged the paper-based tome after returning to another world? Now, giving it an iron-bound, AI-enabled tome that could fight automatically was much sturdier.
“Teacher…” Dugrabi called, touched. As the dragon prince, it had encountered numerous dragon attendants or offspring trying to curry favor with it, but none were like Yvette. She didn’t owe it any special treatment; thus, her kindness felt particularly unique.
If one day Yvette became old, Dugrabi decided it would care for her!
But it felt that such a scenario was unlikely. After all, the teacher was not like its father. Although the Flame Dragon King was a top-tier powerhouse in the human realm, he too would age and weaken, necessitating such care. Yvette, however, should be a member of the divine race, right? In the afternoon, Dugrabi, now equipped with the Tome of Flame Magic, Tome of Wind Magic, and Tome of Pure Blue Magic, was like a happy puppy that had just received a new toy, eagerly seeking out Abella for a spar.
On one hand, it wanted to experience the effects of the three magical tomes; on the other, it aimed to show Abella the substantial status difference between a lowly servant and a proper disciple in Yvette’s eyes.

Then, during the battle, Dugrabi discovered something shocking: these three tomes came with a one-button combo feature!

While Dugrabi and Abella fiercely clashed on a relatively shallow stone platform that was almost submerged, or rather, Dugrabi was thoroughly dominating, Yvette observed the battle closely, occasionally nodding in satisfaction, realizing her ideas were being excellently validated.
Yes, although she had long established the possibility through mental tests, seeing it in actual combat, with results meeting expectations and no serious bugs like spell crashes or integration issues, allowed her to finally relax.
