'BOOM'.. 'BANG'.. 'WHIZ'.. 'SIZZLE'.. 'WHISTLE'
The fireworks started as we continued eating. There were so many colors, blues, purples, reds, greens, silver, and gold, and we sat not far from where they were lighting them up. So every once in a while Keya would jump a little from the sound, apart from that she looked like she was having a blast. I asked if she was okay. She smiled, replying,
"I've never been this close to fireworks before. They're really loud!" she said, giggling. My cock hardened at the sound and she yelped as I reached over, pulling her into my lap wrapping my arms around her, saying, "I'm so glad I found you, Keya." I love being with her. Once the show was over, I pack us several plates of food and drinks up. I don't plan on leaving the house for a while once we get in. And we bid my family good night. I hold her hand and we make our way to my bike. I store my changing bag and the bag of food inside my bike's side compartments and we head over to the Carnival. I text Vic to take care of my two chairs for me.
I stopped walking, turned to her and asked her slightly desperately, "Where have you been, Keya? I've searched for you for two months!" I needed to know. She gazed up at me nervously. Sighs, then says, "I'm so sorry. I had you searching for me, Manny. But honestly, I've only been in school or at home. I don't really have time to go anywhere else, because I'm always busy taking care of my family." She said softly, sadness in her voice.
"Is that why you ran from me at the restaurant?" She looked embarrassed, yeah my suspicions were correct. She ran from me, but why? She nods, "I did and I'm sorry for that, it’s just.. I didn't really have time for a relationship, that's all." She looks sincere, I believe her. "What were you doing to the point where you feel like you didn't have time for me?" She sadly lowers her head, but I lift it so that she looks at me.
"I'm in school Mon-Thur from around 7:45a.m till 5:45p.m. and on Fridays I'm out at 3p.m. On Mon & Wed I have Afterschool Book Club meetings and Tue & Thur I have Academic Decathlon." She sighs. I nod for her to continue. "When I'm not in school, I have to take care of my siblings and my Grammy. And in the last 3 months she's been in the hospital three times!"
She says exasperated, "She's usually in there for a week or so, and since I'm the oldest, I have to do everything when she's gone! All the cooking, cleaning, washing, grocery shopping, paying the bills and any appointments that my sibs have to go to on top of my homework! I barely had time for me, I knew I wouldn't have time for a relationship. I didn't want to be selfish or rude to you by agreeing to be with you, then not have the quality time to actually be with you. I'm truly sorry, Manny, my intentions were never to make you.. upset."

"Don't cry sweetie, I understand now. I just thought that I scared you away or something. That you didn't like me." I know I'm putting my true feelings out there, but she deserves to know the real me!
She grins and giggles, that beautiful sound that makes my cock pulse. "You did scare me though. You completely intimidated me and had me feeling all sorts of crazy feelings! "So what's changed? Why did you agree to be with me now? And where are your parents?" I'm curious as to why she's taking care of all this on her own. "Well, I'm not in a school right now, so that frees up more of my time. I'll actually have time to be with you now. And we got adopted by my Grammy when I was eleven, because my mother, her daughter, was unfit and neglected us. My dad's in prison for murder, but he'll be out soon. My dad communicates with me more than my mom does. We have no idea where she is. I don't really care to know either."
Okay.. she has mommy issues. I didn't see that coming. She seems irritated having to talk about her. "Why don't you like your mom, Babe?" She glares at me. "Because for as long as I can remember, she has continually chosen men, alcohol, and drugs over her six kids. Real mothers don't do that. I take care of us the way a real mother should! And I haven't thought of her as my mom in a long time." She said pointedly, and I can hear the bitterness in her words.
"Oh wow, I see now. I understand why you do all that you do, damn you are an amazing woman, do you know that?!" I say while wrapping her in my arms. She's so short, I pick her up kissing her, loving the electricity between us as she wraps herself around me. After some time but not enough at all I pull away, "We're never gonna make it to the Carnival if we don't stop this." We both chuckle. "I love y.. being with you, Keya." She smiles and kisses me. "Likewise, Manny."
