Axel's hand grabbed Hazel's hands and started pulling her away. Hazel followed after him, barely in control of herself, not after seeing that flash of red in his eyes.
He was a true Alpha, he was to be feared, he was to be worshipped, he was the human incarnation of the moon goddess herself.
He continued to drag her away until she expressed her first sign of resistance to his pull.
He stopped pulling her and let go of her hands. He closed his eyes and took in deep breaths, breathing out the same as he tried hard to calm his wolf side down.
After about a minute, he opened his eyes and he seemed quite cool now even though his facial expressions were still held in that displeased look.
"You really got into a relationship with Rex?" He asked and her head bobbed a positive response.
"How could you? After what I told you last night?"
Hazel wanted to yell back at him and act as feisty as she had been acting since he came back but she could not anymore. She was still shaken by what she had just discovered about him.
"Answer me, Hazel" he groaned when she said nothing.
"We have not seen each for six years and you want me to believe that you love me? I do not believe it and also it is Rex that I...."
"Don't say it. I do not want to hear you telling me that he is the one you love. I do not want to." His voice still regained the authoritativeness that it had been carrying since earlier and without another choice, she didn't continue her words.
"I really can not, with you" she mumbled her words, reached into her purse and brought out the necklace from inside of it.
"I know you dropped it in here. I do not want it. Rex already gave me one. Please search for your own mate and let me be with the man who cherishes me" she dropped the necklace in his hands and walked away.
"The man who cherishes you is me" Axel mumbled.
Hazel walked back to the spot where she had left Rex and was quite taken aback to find out that he was gone with the car already.
"How could he leave without me?" She mumbled sadly to herself.
"Maybe he just really hard to attend to something very urgent" she added with a sigh.

The next day
Hazel had ended up taking a cab home and yep, her first date with Rex had not turned out as she imagined.
It was not as romantic as she had thought it would be and yet, she had gotten interrupted from having her kiss with her date by Axel and she had to watch him get possessive of her like he had, well, been of her since childhood and still yet she had to see his scary eyes turn red and realize that he was going to be the next Alpha as Rex's powers were not going to be a match for him in any way.
"Wake up girlie!" Clarissa opened up the door.
"You will never stop barging into my home, will you?" Hazel asked as she got up from her bed, yawning sleepily.
"You are such a sleepyhead, still sleeping by this time. How did your date go?" Clarissa asked.
"How do you think it would have gone after you told Axel about it?"
Clarissa bit on her lips hard.
"I slipped the information to him. It was not my intention to tell him. We were just talking over the phone and I mistakenly mentioned it."
"I would be a fool to believe that is the case" Hazel mumbled and Clarissa sighed.
"Hazel, don't you think Axel loves you so much?" Clarissa asked.
"Loves me? I think he just wants to get in between my legs. He doesn't love me a single bit" she shook her head.
"He does love you! He has always been with you for so many years and..."
"Forget about it and forget about him too. He is the last thing I want to talk about" Hazel cut the discussion short and glanced at Clarissa with a look that Clarissa recognized pretty well.
"Don't hold it back, tell me what you know" Clarissa demanded.
"Do you by any chance know what type of wolf Axel is?" Hazel asked.
"A dark wolf of course, like all of us"
"C'mon, I am not asking about our Pack"
"He is just like us, he is like any of us but if he gets to become the Alpha like he wants to, he will no longer be like us"
"What if he was never like us?" Hazel questioned and a quizzical look flashed across Clarissa's face.
"What do you mean?"
"What if he has never been in any of you guy's level? What if he is in a level higher than even Rex?"
Clarissa gasped and threw her hand over her mouth.
"He is an alpha wolf?!"
"Exactly" Hazel affirmed.
"How... How is that even possible? He has always been like us" Clarissa wondered.
"I do not know how but last night, while he ruined my date for me, his eyeballs turned bright red."
"Are you sure about this?" Clarissa asked.
"Yes, it was only for a second but I am sure that it turned red"
Clarissa shook her head lightly as if not believing in what she had just heard.
"I am not sure I can believe this yet. I mean yeah, he has a strong wolf and his wolf gets angry quickly too but him being an Alpha wolf? I don't know how I should take that" she shook her head lightly.
"But then, I will find out soon anyways"
"How?"
"There is a duel between the man who loves you and the man you love in two days. If he is an Alpha wolf, then it should probably show up at the duel"
"Why a duel anyways?" Hazel asked.
"It is just to see how strong Axel has become and of course I can't wait to go! I bet you want to go too to see how big his dick has become over the years, it's been six years since you saw him naked" Clarissa winked at her and Hazel was surprised to feel her face slightly flushed up.
"What's the date you marked on your calendar? In four days? What's happening?" Clarissa questioned as she took her eyes to the calendar.
"It is the day Alpha Damien would be back for more white wolves from us."
