Mash-Up: I'm Not A Substitute Chapter 80

Seeing that the meal was almost finished, Takashi greeted Shizuka and got up to go to the restroom. Noticing this, Umeno Kentarou quickly stood up. "Watanabe, shall we go together?" Takashi glanced at him and smiled, nodding. He deliberately waited for Umeno to reach his side before sliding open the paper door and leaving. The two walked out together. As soon as the paper door closed from the outside, whispers erupted in the room. "I didn't expect Watanabe to be this tall." "He's definitely over 180cm." "Kids these days, I have no idea what they eat to grow this tall." It wasn't obvious while they were sitting, but when Takashi and Umeno Kentarou stood together, everyone noticed that Takashi was at least half a head taller than Umeno. The conversation inside was perfectly audible to Takashi and Umeno, who hadn't gone far yet. Hearing this, Umeno Kentarou furrowed his brows, his face darkening. In contrast, Takashi smirked and shot a sidelong glance at Umeno. Height is a man's obsession. From his observations, there were very few men who didn't care about their height. Some guys, once they exceed 180cm, wish they could tattoo their height on their forehead for the whole world to see. Takashi looked down on those people the most. He had recently grown taller again, but even though he was 180cm, he never went around bragging about it. Takashi shot a single glance at Umeno Kentarou—just one—and Umeno immediately caught it. 'Damn it, I got played by this kid.' Looking up at Takashi's towering height and the blatant mockery in his smile, Umeno Kentarou realized he had fallen into a trap. No wonder, back in the room, Takashi had waited for him to go together. So this was his plan all along. This kid had at least 800 little schemes running in his head. "Senpai, are you okay?" Takashi feigned ignorance, showing concern. "Don't listen to them. Actually, I'm not that tall. I'm only 180cm." The last few words were deliberately enunciated, one syllable at a time. "I didn't ask how tall you are." Seeing that no one else was around, Umeno Kentarou dropped the act, scowling and walking ahead quickly. Takashi followed at a leisurely pace. Umeno Kentarou stopped at a urinal, and Takashi took the spot next to him. Umeno unzipped his pants, and Takashi unfastened his belt. "You and Shizuka getting along well?" Umeno Kentarou turned his head excitedly. Then, his pupils shrank in shock. He glanced at himself, then at Takashi. Midway through relieving himself, he forcibly stopped, zipped up, and calmly moved to a spot by the wall. Takashi looked at him in fake confusion. Umeno Kentarou was clearly hiding something. Even though he knew Takashi couldn't see, he still turned his body slightly. "Keep going—what happened between you two?" "Oh!" Takashi said, as if suddenly remembering. "It's just that she keeps giving me gifts." "The time before last, she gave me a Longines watch. Last time, an Armani suit. This time, a Portuguese chronograph. My classmates are saying I've been 'kept' by her." Hearing this outrageous humblebrag, Umeno Kentarou knew full well the brat was doing it on purpose, but he still couldn't help cursing Shizuka in his mind. When he was dating Shizuka, she never once gifted him luxury goods. Oh, but now, for this younger guy, she's showering him with gifts? "That's right! Shizuka just loves using money to humiliate people. That's exactly why I left her back then." "We men must have dignity!" Kid, since you've already said this much, hurry up and break up with her so I can take your place! "Senpai, what nonsense are you spouting? How can a man give up money for dignity?" Takashi looked at him like he was an idiot. Joking is one thing, but don't mess around when it comes to money, okay? How much is that worth? Wait, is this kid really a college student? Are university students nowadays all this money-minded? "I turn 20 in a month." "You know how old Shizuka is? She's a whole seven years older than you!" "Senpai, haven't you heard the saying, 'A woman three years older is like holding gold?' If my girlfriend is seven years older, that means I'm holding three gold bricks! That's instant financial freedom." "You think her family will accept you?" "Her parents like me a lot. Her dad even offered to give me a Cadillac, but I turned it down." Don't ask why I refused. Ever since a Cadillac owner got down on his knees for a woman on 520, that brand has been ruined for me. "You only think she's pretty now because she's still young. Give it a couple of years—do you really think you two will match when you walk down the street?" "Of course! Why wouldn't we?" "We're a perfect match, the ultimate couple, a divine pairing!" Umeno Kentarou tried his best to guide this misguided youth back to the right path. But Takashi was as stubborn as a rock. No matter what Umeno said, he just ignored him like a stubborn donkey. Umeno Kentarou zipped up his pants and turned to glare at Takashi, only to be utterly shocked. Takashi was typing on his phone with both hands—without holding himself at all! Being big was one thing, but why the hell didn't he need to hold it? Faced with Takashi, Umeno Kentarou felt like his masculinity had been utterly crushed. Takashi sent his last message, pulled up his pants, and looked at Umeno in confusion. "You… you two aren't compatible!" After hesitating for ages, Umeno Kentarou could only blurt out this one sentence. "You think you get to decide that?" Takashi stepped forward, finally dropping his act. He looked down at Umeno Kentarou with clear disdain. "I'm not a match, but you are? What do you have that's better than me? What does she see in you? Your age? Or your thirty seconds?" Hearing Takashi's merciless words, Umeno Kentarou, feeling deeply insulted, angrily grabbed him by the collar. "You bastard, say that again!" Takashi's expression instantly turned cold. He knew that in Japanese, "Kisama" carried the implication of calling someone an animal or a beast. That was straight-up calling him a subhuman. With a swift movement, Takashi pinned Umeno Kentarou against the wall, locking his arm around his throat. "Have I been too nice to you? I called you senpai out of respect, and you really think you're someone important?" I'm giving you face by calling you senpai. But if I don't give you face, I'll put you in the ground. You believe me?" Choked against the wall, Umeno Kentarou's face quickly turned red, then purple. Despite his struggles, his strength was nowhere near Takashi's, who worked out regularly. He could only tap desperately on Takashi's arm, signaling for mercy. Takashi never intended to kill anyone—this wasn't Gotham, after all. Sliding down the wall, Umeno Kentarou gasped for air. Adjusting his clothes, Takashi didn't even wait for him to recover before stepping out. At the door, Takashi suddenly thought of something and smiled warmly. "Senpai, no need to feel insecure. Small ones are cute too." Under Umeno Kentarou's venomous glare, Takashi made a pinching gesture. 20 Advanced Chapters available on p@ tr eon (.) com/HalflingFics Also, please point out my mistakes in the comment, thank you!
