This story was inspired by a casual "what if" discussion after watching Avengers: Endgame, imagining Thanos finding a Saiyan infant. Due to relying on childhood memories instead of checking the original manga, the author's depiction of Planet Vegeta's destruction contained inaccuracies—something he openly acknowledge and apologize for.
That said, the author is a longtime Dragon Ball fan, but since the details of Planet Vegeta's destruction weren't central to the plot, he didn't put much thought into it at the time. He was surprised by the backlash, as he only remembered the general fact that Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta. While hurt by personal attacks, he kept constructive criticism as a reminder for improvement.
Ultimately, the author decided not to revise the first Chapter. The scene plays a crucial role in shaping the protagonist's motivations, and changing it would disrupt the story's foundation. He acknowledge potential inconsistencies but ask for understanding—rational criticism is welcome, but personal insults are not.

As the epitome of a warrior race, the Saiyans' brutality was notorious across the cosmos. Yet on this day, those once-proud warriors faced utter annihilation.
The tyrant emperor, Frieza, personally orchestrated the massacre—eradicating every Saiyan on Planet Vegeta, including King Vegeta himself. The planet's surface, once teeming with life, became a graveyard beneath Frieza's merciless gaze.
"What a shame... If not for the legend of the Super Saiyan, they would have made excellent subordinates."
King Vegeta's rebellion had been exposed, and Frieza's fear of the fabled Super Saiyan—the prophesied warrior who could challenge his dominion—left him with no choice but to exterminate the entire race.
Save for Prince Vegeta and his small squad on a distant mission, Frieza believed no Saiyan had survived the purge.
Wandering through the blood-soaked ruins, Frieza admired his handiwork. Crimson stained his pale toes, the moonlight casting an eerie glow on his ghastly form.
"Hmm?"
He halted before a domed structure, lips curling into a cruel smile. Raising one finger, he unleashed a concentrated beam of energy at the building.
BOOM!
The fragile walls disintegrated, revealing a lone figure— a woman clutching an infant in her arms.
"Oh? A Saiyan clinging to life? How rare."
Saiyans were known for their cold detachment, placing little value on familial bonds. Yet this woman shielded the child with her very life, defying every expectation Frieza held of her kind.
Something was amiss.
The rebellion had made Frieza hyper-aware of any anomaly among the Saiyans. The legend of the Super Saiyan gnawed at the edges of his mind, demanding vigilance.
"Frieza! Why?!"
"Why? Must I justify myself to you?"
His grin stretched wider, more sadistic. Of all the lives on Planet Vegeta, only this mother and child remained.
Vegeta's survival suited Frieza's plans—but the others? They had chosen rebellion and would pay the price in blood.
A single beam pierced the woman's chest with ease.
Sensing his mother's death, the infant stirred, tiny fingers grasping at her flowing hair. His soft coos were silenced by the void that claimed her.
Another fragile bloom, extinguished before it could ever blossom.
"A planet without Saiyans serves no purpose."
Frieza levitated into the sky, pointing a finger toward the desolate world below. His voice was casual, almost bored.
"Frieza!!!"
A final defiant scream split the night. One lone warrior hurled himself between Frieza and the death orb forming at his fingertip.
"Oh? Another survivor? How quaint... but you're not worthy of the effort."
The warrior's tenacity might have impressed a lesser being. But to Frieza, it was nothing more than an insect resisting the boot.
With a contemptuous sneer, he unleashed a surge of energy that obliterated both the fighter and the planet's molten core.
BOOM!
Planet Vegeta's death was a cataclysm of fire and ash. Yet amid the devastation, the mother—clinging to the edge of life—had found a precious sliver of time.
She placed her son in a hidden escape pod, long prepared for this terrible day. Her trembling fingers sealed the hatch, sending him hurtling into the void.
"Lothar... Mama loves you..."
Her voice cracked, eyes shimmering with tears.
"Live... You must live..."
The baby's cries echoed through the pod as it soared away, moments before the planet's final explosion consumed everything.
Caught in the gravitational pull of the detonation, the escape pod was dragged into a swirling black hole—flung across the fabric of space and time.

Curious, Thanos rose and followed the sound to a small crater. There, nestled among shattered stone, lay a naked infant—its tail flicking weakly behind it.
The child fell silent, locking eyes with the titan. In those wide, unyielding eyes, Thanos saw something... familiar.
"A Titan child? Another survivor, like myself?"
For once, his hardened features softened. The red tail meant nothing to him—aberrations were common among his kind.
His thick fingers brushed against the baby's trembling form. Even in infancy, the child exuded a primal defiance—a mirror of Thanos's own youth.
"From this day forward... you are mine."
A rare smile touched the warlord's lips.
"Your name shall be... Lothar."
The sun dipped beneath the horizon, casting the wasteland in shadow. With the infant cradled in his massive arms, Thanos strode away—an omen of the universe's dark and twisted fate.
