Marvel: Upgrading Death Chapter 7

Firehair, keep calm. Do not let him get on your nerves. You must not show a reaction. Ignore his words and say what you came to say. It was surprising. Why was the Phoenix Force advising her to stay calm and not react? From the moment she had landed, the man had gotten on her nerves. He looked human, and he looked quite decent. But the moment the man opened his mouth, she felt all her likes turned into dislikes. He looked like a barbarian in the true sense, just a bit more handsome. No, Firehair, ignore his words. But eventually, being called succubus again and again, she couldn't take it anymore. By the time the Phoenix Force could stop her, the flames had already burned the man to fine dust. "I killed him." Fairfire proclaimed proudly. "He was too annoying. And besides, he was too weak." And just then, with a surprising pop in the air, the man reappeared out of thin air, nothing changed on his body. Not even his clothes. "You bitch… I mean beautiful succubus! Why did you kill me? I was willing to be seduced by you!" "I-Is this real?" Firehair gawked at the man's reappearance. I warned you, Firehair. "No, he can't keep reappearing forever." Fairhair declared and raised both her hands towards the man this time. "No mercy anymore! And I… am… not… a succubus!" A torrent of flames, larger than the last one, struck the man, covering him entirely with the dark flames. They weren't just any flames, but her pride, her cosmic flames. They could immolate anyone and anything who stood in their way. "Hmph!" She stopped pouring out the fire at last. "Ha! Haha! You dumb bitch!" Firehair frowned deeply. The fire she had sent out should have vanished, but instead, it remained and took the shape of a human. When that mocking voice came, she realized the fact. The man was covered in the same cosmic flames without burning. No, he was controlling them, maintaining them on his body. "Oh, you turned me into a succubus too by killing me. Fuck! It feels hot, not that I was already not hot." Once again speechless, Firehair looked left and right as if there was an audience. She gulped, finally realizing why the Phoenix Force was warning her. "W-What have I done?" This man has no limits. By killing him, you have renewed his body to harness the very forces that you do. Now, cosmic flames burn within him, and your body's physiology, your telekinesis, your telepathy—they are his, as well. "N-No! Does that mean he has you—" No. There is only one Phoenix Force—and I am already within you. But if I emerged fully, if I ended him… I wonder. I tread lightly. He might not die. He might adapt. Learn me. Become more than he is—like a replica of mine. Firehair gulped, her lips dry. She looked at the cheering man, already playing with fire by making balls of fire and juggling them, showing them to the dinosaur. She really felt scared by the man now, a first in a very, very long time. If even the Phoenix Force was fearful of him, who was she? "W-Why didn't you stop me?" "Nonsense! You could have stopped the flames from pouring out of my hands." I cannot deny that I'm interested in this creature. I allowed nature to take its course. Slightly annoyed, Firehair looked at the man, acting like a caveman who found fire for the first time. Heck, she wondered if this madman was the one who taught them how to harness fire. And honestly, seeing him talk with the dinosaur like it was an intelligent creature, made her feel worried. "I'm not." The man responded all of a sudden, looking at her. "Yeah, yeah, I just read your thoughts. Jesus! You've got a neat set of abilities. I can even fly now and…" She gawked as the man used her powerful telekinesis to uproot an entire tree from the ground. Then the man whistled and kept uprooting the trees as if playing. "Damn! Would you look at that? Thank you, beautiful demoness. A hundred million years were worth it for this. Ah, and yes, I did teach those blokes how to make fire. Bastards were on the verge of dying that night. And yes, Marty here is an intelligent dinosaur. He's just ten million years younger than me." Firehair's beautiful, red brows furrowed by the use of just with that absurd amount of time. "Greetings, f-friend." Fairhair finally chose to tread carefully with the man. He could read her mind, so she tried to keep it as shielded as she could. "I am Firehair, and I'm not a succubus. I need your help. The world is in danger, and without you, it may not survive. I have roamed the world in search of powerful allies. My idea is to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could become something more—" "Hush! I think I've heard that speech somewhere else before." Easy to anger by nature, Firehair did her best to control the fury in her head. "I have gathered seven other powerful beings, and you c—" "But the world will end!" "Who cares? I think I've lived a decent life. Pretty sure the world will be fine even if you all do nothing. Ah, Marshall S. Grant, by the way—Damn, where are my manners?" The man, Marshall nonchalantly responded to her, while poking his ear with one finger, and still using telekinesis to uproot trees to build something. "But Marshall, if Zgreb the Sorrower is not defeated—" "Yada, yada! Unbelievable—I almost let a demoness succubus reel me in with her seductions. But with your powers now, I can finally fight off that charm. Don't get me wrong, I still wanna fold you like origami and drill you all night—you're absurdly gorgeous. Seriously… But I gotta bounce—You did kill me, by the way. I should be pissed... right? My god! Why am I not pissed? Weird..." Unhinged, totally feral, untamed, crazy, a lunatic with jumbled thoughts. Firehair slowly came to understand all the warnings that the Phoenix Force had given her. And what was that about drilling her? "I'm not a succubus." "Sure, woman. With those red hair, red eyes, that fire body, goddamn! I'm horny—No, I shall not waver. I refuse to fall prey to a succubus! I'll look for that stacked woman from that night, such fine delicate curves, she treated me right. Oh, I almost sold my soul or something… Thank you, Jesus, for the celestial slap back to sanity, I'll see you soon. And you, hot, red, demoness, I'm sorry, we can't be lovers—Goodbye." The man, Marshall, right before her eyes, used telekinesis to chip the felled trees into equal logs, smashed holes in them, and nailed them with wood, turning them into a sort of a raft. And then, the man sat down on the massive raft with the dinosaur and just… flew away like it was a fucking magic carpet. "I AM NOT A SUCCUBUS!" Firehair raged at last, her entire body turning to flames. "HOW DARE HE! US? LOVERS?! Aaaaaargh! And why does he have better telekinesis than me?!" She raged, burning a patch of the forest. Within her, the Phoenix Force remained silent, having already seen the future to a small degree, and was aware that the chapter with that man was far from over. Especially for her host. "WRAAAA! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" "You're useless, Marty. You're a T-Rex. You weren't charmed by her, were you? You should have woken me up from that horniness. What if she had attacked you instead of me?" Sitting on his ass beside his human, Marty looked at the man with a sigh. "Snrrrk." "Seriously? I don't believe you. You didn't find her attractive? You're blind, buddy. She was smoking hot—like, asteroid-hitting-the-Yucatan hot. But yeah, personality? Trash... And I know, I sound picky, but hey, she killed me. Literally. I don't remember, I think someone once said, don't put your dick in crazy. What if she'd torched the ol' dino-rider mid-thrust? Hell of a way to go. Again." "Fuck you too! You're calling me crazy? Me? Who raised you since you were just a little egg? Man, talk about biting the hand that feeds you. I'll remember that." "How dare you, Marty… Wait, I gotta give you a last name—makes yelling more dramatic. Alright, Marty S. Grant! So what if I forgot to eat the egg you came out of? The fact is that I fed you milk with that tiny wooden straw I made—I let you sleep in my bed for warmth!" Marshall patted the big dinosaur. "Hey, chill. No need to apologize—I was just messing with you. You're the only thing that's kept me from losing my marbles all these eons, pal." Merrily blinking his big eyes, Marty looked ahead as the gentle breeze hit their faces. Soon, Marshall also calmed down and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. He really didn't have a speck of common sense left. He should have been scared of the height, but he wasn't. It was his first attempt at flying on a raft, but he nailed it. And seriously, flying was the best. The view was amazing, endless forests, then fields, and then distant snow-capped mountains. The planet was cold, but he knew another ice age was yet to come. "Heh, gotta say, I'm cool with her killing me. Powers came as some sweet freebies, after all. Wait—so does that make me some kinda god to future humans? She did say she rounded up a bunch of powerful types. So... won't they all be gods too?" With much to ponder, he randomly kept flying in a direction. ______________________ Check out Peggy Carter & Hela Facefucking NSFW ART, and advance chapters at [email protected]/MrPlotThickens or Subscribestar.adult/mrplotthickens Advance chapters on [] are in long-form format.
