Marvel: Infinite Personalities Chapter 201

So this… this is the real power of Hell and Heaven. It was nothing like the "divine" words of missionaries, nor the tricks of cultists—this was a gulf of power so great she could barely even breathe in its presence. In front of these two forces, she felt like not even an ant—less than an insect, not even worthy to exist. John Constantine had been kind when he said they were all ants. That had been mercy. Now, when she glanced toward him again, she saw him spreading his hands as if to say: I warned you. You didn't believe me. Regret surged through her chest like knives twisting. She was the type who never admitted defeat until the coffin lid closed. And now the coffin was here. She could already see her own and her people's tragic fate— All because of her arrogance. If she had listened to John Constantine's warnings, none of this would have happened. The black vortex above her continued to grow, fed by the array beneath her feet. At this point, she was no longer in control—the magic was dragging her forward, not the other way around. From the vortex, wisps like black ghosts began to drift outward. These were her people—her tribe! Before she possessed this body, she too had been one of those wraith-like shades. "Go back! Don't come out!!" she screamed. But her warning was far too late. One after another, her people emerged from the vortex, only to burst apart instantly— As though countless invisible hands were crushing them like fragile glass. Not one of them lasted even a second. The sight tore her heart open. Tears streamed uncontrollably down her face. And then, through blurred vision, her gaze landed once more on John Constantine's sub-personality. Like a drowning soul clutching at the last straw, she cried out in desperation: "John, please—I beg you, save them! I know you have a way!" "It was my fault before—I shouldn't have ignored your warning, I shouldn't have been so arrogant!" "If you can save them, I'll be your slave forever. Whatever you command, I'll obey!" At this moment, her pride and dignity meant nothing. She would rather die a hundred times herself if it would end this nightmare. Her only hope now was that the rumors were true—especially those rumors that tied the man before her to Hell and Heaven. Even though after witnessing the powers of both sides she found it harder than ever to believe those old rumors, the Enchantress had no choice left—she could only gamble on them being true. Under her desperate gaze, John Constantine's sub-personality sighed softly, then suddenly chanted a spell. Thıs content belongs to 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭·𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮·𝙣𝙚𝙩 At once, the black vortex above her head, though still slowly growing, reversed its spin—from clockwise to counterclockwise! The swirling force that had been spewing outward turned into a suction pulling inward. Her people, who had been on the verge of emerging, were instead dragged back inside! Seeing this, the Enchantress wept with joy. "Thank you—thank you! Thank you so much!!" John Constantine, after finishing, lifted his head to the heavens, then glanced at the ground below. With another long sigh, he spoke: "Enough. I've settled this matter. By ancient pact, return whence you came—heaven and hell alike. Leave the affairs of mankind to mortals." As his words faded, the glowing gate in the clouds slowly vanished, as though it had never been. The earth, however, did not settle so quickly. From the depths came a voice—harsh, abyssal, echoing: "I will come for you, John… That day is not far. My birth is near!" Only when the voice dissipated did the ground grow still again. John Constantine's expression, though, was grim—dark and unsettled, as though weighing something heavy. Suddenly, his eyes flickered. He turned, snapping open a blazing portal! —Inside the armored truck— As Joker thrilled at confirming Raymond was indeed the true body, Raymond suddenly said, out of nowhere: Joker's pupils shrank instantly. Before he could react further, the four people in the back—Raymond, Harley, Diablo, and Boomerang—suddenly vanished! The Joker's instincts screamed. Without hesitation, he lunged to open the door and throw himself clear—But too late. Before him, a massive flaming ring burst into existence. On the far side loomed a swirling black vortex, like a yawning black hole! The truck's momentum, combined with the vortex's terrible pull, dragged the entire armored vehicle straight into its maw! The suction outside was so violent Joker couldn't even open the door. When the truck crossed the blazing ring and burst through the other side, he saw them—Raymond, Harley, Diablo, Boomerang—and a short-haired blond stranger—standing on open ground. Behind them, a smaller fiery portal was already shrinking. It was obvious now—that was why the four had vanished in an instant. When Joker locked eyes with them, they stared right back. Raymond even lifted a hand and waved him goodbye. And then—darkness swallowed Joker whole. As the vortex shrank and vanished into the air, Raymond turned to John Constantine's sub-personality. "That passage won't open again, will it?" "There's only one person on Earth who can open a way to that realm," John Constantine replied, glancing at the Enchantress collapsed on the floor. "And I don't think she'll ever dare again. Not even if you killed her." The lesson had seared itself into her soul. If she dared attempt it again, her world would face judgment from both heaven and hell. This time she had survived only because John Constantine intervened. Next time, no one might be able to stop it. "That's the Enchantress? What happened to her?" Raymond asked, throwing her a glance. John Constantine couldn't be bothered to explain. With a snap, he struck himself across the face—returning to Raymond's mind. All of his memories—his reunion with the Enchantress, her summoning, the intervention of heaven and hell, and his reversal of the ritual—flooded Raymond's thoughts in an instant. Including that last chilling voice… Hell and Heaven… truly terrifying. Raymond, for the first time, had gained a glimpse of what those powers in this world really meant. By his measure, the two auras had both been at least level seven or higher—Sky Father tier, if not greater. He had known John Constantine's sub-personality carried enemies across the DC multiverse. But he hadn't expected to brush against a being above Sky Father level so casually. "This guy really is a magnet for disaster. Probably only the Exorcist could rival him in courting death…" Raymond muttered, shaking his head. "Puddin'… where did he go?" Harley's voice came softly from behind him. "You can think of it as… going to hell," Raymond said offhandedly. She answered quietly—then suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist from behind. Raymond stiffened—completely unprepared for that. And only then did he recall the little bet he had made with Harley earlier, meant only to enrage the Joker. In the distance, the screech of brakes echoed—Rick and the others had finally arrived. Raymond pried Harley's arms off and strode toward Rick. He didn't notice the look Harley gave his back—Her gaze was growing hotter, more fanatical by the second… Join to read 30+ Chapters ahead and get 40% discount on first month!
