Chapter 6024, House By the Mountain

Once the twins started moving, the whole world seemed to move along with them. The tall tsunami of Black Ink Strength seemed to follow them from behind, as the onlookers from above continued to stare at these interesting Humans.
It was obvious that they were still cautious of them escaping. Otherwise, why would the way back to the gate be blocked by these obstacles?
Yang Ji felt a little disgruntled by this and asked, “We already said we will go along with you. Why do you still need to have that following us from behind?”
Mo Na Ye just chuckled as he led the way in front. “I’ve experienced so many battles with your Father. I naturally know how conniving Humans are. It’s always better to be safe than sorry when dealing with your kind.”
Yang Xu interjected, “My Brother never lies to me. Only my Father lies.”
Mo Na Ye laughed so loudly that the ground started to quiver. Even the people at the top of the moving tsunami felt odd seeing the usually solemn Mo Na Ye laugh so loudly.
Yang Ji had an odd expression on his face as he immediately asked Yang Xu through Divine Sense, “Why did you say that?”
Yang Xu, who knew that her Brother was too upright and proper if he was not being playful, explained back through their Divine Sense. “Since we are already in their hands, we might as well play along and befriend them. Otherwise, how would they lower down their guard? Mother Ru Meng has always said that those who are relaxed talk more.”
[Technically, she said those who are drunk confess their true feelings. But, no need to bother Big Brother with the details.] Yang Xu smiled in her heart, while her facial expression remained completely neutral.
“Is that so? But to insult Father like that…” Yang Ji wanted to protest but Yang Xu quickly shot back.
“It’s not exactly false right? Have you ever lied to me? As for Father, how many times have we been told he had time to play before one of our Mothers had to drag him back because he still had work to do?”
“You know that’s because he is always busy.” Yang Ji tried to defend his Father.
Yang Xu wanted to rebuke him but just kept to herself. “Hmph!” [Of course he is so busy. He has so many Wives to maintain. Although Mother never complains about it, Mother Ru Meng, and Mother Qing Luo would complain from time to time.]
Yang Ji naturally never heard about these complaints. These were normally conversations that took place when there were only girls around. With how he idolises his Father, the Mothers would naturally try their best to not talk bad about him in front of Yang Ji.
Mo Na Ye naturally noticed the two were secretly conversing using their Divine Sense. However, he was not one to worry about it. In fact, he even waited quietly until the two ended their conversation before he asked. “How is your Father doing so far?”
Although they were enemies, they did share a particular bond. It was akin to that of rivals. Although he did not have memories of how he was defeated, he knew he had lost. In fact, he had hoped that the weapon that struck him down was Yang Kai’s spear, as it would truly have concluded their bitter hostile relationship at that point in time.
Yang Xu was the first to speak. She even convinced Yang Ji to let her do the talking for now. “Father is doing well. He had restored the 3,000 Worlds back to its original state, making it thrive even better than before.”
Mo Na Ye nodded. He was genuinely happy for Yang Kai. He was also glad to hear that the 3,000 Worlds was doing better now. After all, although it was Black Ink Clansmen like them who destroyed so much of the world, they only did it out of necessity of resources. Even if most Black Ink Clansmen enjoyed seeing the cruel torture of others, and violence, he was not one of them.
In fact, such brutality seems to be more prevalent in the lower class of Black Ink Clansmen, mainly those below the Feudal Lords. The more powerful Black Ink Clansmen might host such activities, but they were mostly to motivate their men. In fact, those Feudal Lords and above tend to be more apathetic than anything, not caring about the lives of others, even their own men.
The conversation between the two continued. Yang Xu would give little updates on what happened after the war, and Mo Na Ye would continue to share what he knew about the past, and some tidbits about the current situation of this world.
These two were naturally engaging in a conversation that was trying to dig out as much information from the other person. However, both knew about it and kept their cards close to their chest.
As for Yang Ji, as the bystander, he grew bored. In fact, he was irked by this type of scheming. He knew it was not his place to judge how his Sister handled things, but he always hoped to settle things upfront if possible.
Fortunately for him, their destination soon arrived in front of their eyes. It was a mountain, but not just any ordinary mountain. The Black Ink Strength in this area was deep and vast, like this was its very source. The mountain had numerous openings, which liquid Black Ink Strength gushes out from.
When looked closely, this was where all those meandering rivers had started from.
Also, unlike the rest of the area, there seemed to be buildings around the top. Most of these buildings were unlike those found in their world. They looked a little like snail shells, with webbing around them. If Yang Ji and Yang Xu were not wrong, these were Black Ink Nests.
For Yang Ji and Yang Xu, since they could fly, they easily got to the top with Mo Na Ye. However, what surprised them at the peak was a small, ordinary looking thatched house. It was not magnificent in any way. In fact, the other ‘houses’ in the area were far bigger than this. Nevertheless, this seemingly ordinary building stood out amongst all the peculiarities.
