Kayden's POV
I didn't even give her a chance to explain herself, after all, what excuse was she going to give me?. I opened the car door and dragged her out of the car.
With my hand firmly on her wrist, I dragged her to my bedroom, using my legs to kick the door and throw her on the bed.
"WHO IS HE?" I yelled at her bringing out my belt. I saw the fear in her eyes when I raised my belt, she kept trying to crawl back to get away from me.
Heaven's POV
Was he going to hit me?. Because he saw me with Jason?. Nothing about him beating me up was stated in the contract. I didn't even realize I had begun vibrating, sweating profusely. I kept on swallowing my saliva until I could no longer swallow.
I didn't want to look at his eyes so I struggled to look at my feet. But, with the belt still in his right hand, he raised it.
And then his fingers pressed on my cheeks, forcing me to look him straight in his eyes, they looked like they were on fire, I swear I saw hell in them.
When I noticed his right hand clutched onto the belt moving towards me, I closed my eyes very tightly and squeezed my face, as well as my entire body.
His fingers were still pressing my face, but I didn't feel any pain. So, I struggled and slowly I opened my eyes to look at him.
He was no longer in possession of the belt, he had flung it to one corner of the room.
"Why are you looking at me like that?!!" He asked me but I remained silent.
"ANSWER ME!!" He scolded, and his voice sent shivers down my spine, my hands and feet had become totally cold.
"He…he…." I was stammering too much. I tried to swallow my saliva, to ease the tension again, but I felt a sharp pain in my chest. Kayden didn't seem to notice it, as he was still looking at me with those deadly eyes.
"I said you should f*cking answer me" he grabbed my shoulder and shook me.
"He is my boyfriend!!" I screamed at the top of my voice, I don't know if it was fear or something else that made me do it, but I felt relieved.
He looked very surprised, he had a staggering expression on his face, and then slowly he released me from his painful grip, before turning to look away from me.
He licked his lips and smacked his forehead with his palm.
"You never told me you had a boyfriend?" He asked me with a calmer voice and sat next to me on the bed.
"You never asked, plus, he traveled for a long time and we kind of lost contact," I said, still keeping my distance from him. I didn't know if he would get angry and hit me.
Kayden's POV
She thinks I am a monster, she thinks all I do is hurt people. I thought she was different from everyone else, but it turns out I was wrong.
I don't have any good in me, so I don't expect her or anyone to feel safe around me. I grabbed a pillow and was about to leave.
"Where are you going? . please don't leave me" she asked me, stopping me in my tracks.
"I am not leaving you, I am going to sleep in one of the guest rooms. It would be best if you sleep here tonight" I was backing her, I didn't want to look at her innocent eyes.
She looked frightened and pale. I was scared that if I looked at her, she might just get hurt by me staring at her.
"No! Don't go, stay here with me. I am very scared" she stood up from the bed and clung to me.
"Yeah, I know, you are scared of me that is why I am leaving you alone" I tried to shake her off but she remained persistent.
"I'm not scared of you. I feel safe when I'm with you, please stay here. I don't mind sleeping on the floor" she quickly grabbed a pillow and dropped it on the floor.
"You will get cold…you can't sleep there" I stopped her.
I don't understand this girl even in the slightest, she must be the strangest being on Earth. Not too long ago, she looked so terrified of me, and now she is asking me not to leave her alone.
I feel like leaving her alone right now, I need to clear my head.
"What are you doing?" I asked her when I had finally snapped out of my thoughts. I had seen her using the extra pillows that rested on the couch close to the wall.
"I am separating the bed so we can both share it. I will sleep on this side and you will sleep on that side" she talked so sweetly, pointing to different ends of the bed.
"And what brought that idea?" I raised an eyebrow at her but she took it the wrong way.
"Are you saying I am not smart?" She asked me such a silly question.
"No '' I bluntly replied and laid on the side she had kept out for me. I was in no mood to argue with anyone. I didn't even have the strength to do that.
I looked at the ceiling with open eyes, while she faced the opposite direction. She turned to look at me and then in almost a whisper she asked.
"Are you still angry at me?"
"No, I am not. I was never angry at you, I was angry because I thought he wanted to do something bad to you.
I never knew he was your boyfriend" I said disappointed and disgusted. I didn't want her to even have a boyfriend, even if the marriage is just a contract.
"Thank you for saving me," she said and closed her eyes gently.
"From?" I tried to ask her but she had already fallen asleep. I covered her up properly with the duvet and also let sleep consume me.
