Unlike Sengoku, Garp was far more direct. His jet-black fist, brimming with unstoppable momentum, smashed straight into Byrnndi World.
"Hmph, Byrnndi World. Your crew has already fallen. Your resistance is meaningless."
Byrnndi World shuddered, his attacks faltering slightly as he glanced downward. His pirate crew was being overwhelmed by the Marines.
Whirlpools churned around his ship.
"Borsalino! How long are you planning to just watch?!"
Sengoku didn't retreat. After finally cornering Byrnndi World, he wouldn't let him escape.
Another golden flash erupted, but this time, it flickered straight toward Byrnndi World.
"How scary~, Admiral Sengoku. Fighting a monster is downright terrifying~."
"Ever been kicked at the speed of light, World Destroyer?"
The golden light solidified into a tall figure. Rear Admiral "Kizaru" had arrived!
His usually sly face wore an uncharacteristically serious expression as his gleaming leg lashed out, striking Byrnndi World square in the ribs.
The light came fast and vanished even faster.
Byrnndi World reacted instantly, his pitch-black fist smashing into Borsalino's face. The golden light scattered like shattered glass.
Borsalino took the hit head-on. As the light reformed, a vivid fist mark was left on his cheek.
"Pah!" He spat out a mouthful of blood, his face twisting in anger.
"Why'd you have to aim for the face?!"
"Thank god I wasn't wearing glasses, my poor frames would've been done for!"
"Admiral Sengoku, it's not that I don't want to help, but this guy is way too scary!"
After that punch, Borsalino wisely retreated, using Geppo to put distance between himself and Byrnndi World.
"You damn brat! Sneak attacking me?!"
"Moa Moa, Thirtyfold Buckshot!"
Enraged, Byrnndi World tore the golden chain from his neck. Instantly, the fragments, coated in Armament Haki, became deadly projectiles hurtling toward Borsalino.
Borsalino yelped, dissolving into light to dodge.
Not a single black fragment hit its mark.
"Tsk tsk tsk~ Lucky I've awakened Observation Haki, or my handsome face would've been wrecked again."
"Admiral Sengoku, I'll leave the rest to you. I'll just... watch from below."
The golden light reformed into human shape as Borsalino patted his chest in relief, then quickly fled toward the Patchwork below.
Sengoku: "...Damn that Borsalino!"
Left with no choice, Sengoku attacked himself, golden shockwaves erupting from his palms.
"Yo~, Hammer-kun~, What happened to you?"
"Oh, Borsalino? Isn't it obvious? Got my ass kicked..."
Borsalino, now safely on the deck, sidled up to the battered Hammer with fake concern.
"So scary~ The World Destroyer even wrecked our famous Rear Admiral Hammer!"
Hammer: "...What the hell kind of phrasing is that?"
"Buzz off. If you've got time to chat, go punch him a few times for me."
Borsalino immediately raised his hands in surrender.
"No thanks. I'd rather not end up like you, lying here like a ragdoll."
"Tch. You just took one punch. Quit whining. Use your Glint-Glint Fruit and snipe him!"
"Nope! With Admiral Sengoku and Vice Admiral Garp here, I'll just stay out of their way."
As the two bickered, the battle at sea reached its conclusion.
The Byrnndi World Pirates had been completely defeated.
First Mate Byojack, Combatant Sebastian, Doctor Nightin, and Shipwright Gairam were all captured.
"Byrnndi World! Your crew has fallen! Will you still resist?!"
Another shockwave blast from Sengoku, paired with verbal pressure.
This time, the words struck deep into the World Destroyer's heart.
His gaze dropped to the ship below, his brother, his crew, his subordinates, all prisoners.
A wave of grief surged within him...
But he was swiftly drowned in fury.
His eyes locked onto a figure on the Marine warship.
Trembling with rage, his entire body began to shake.
Sengoku and Garp tensed, sensing the shift.
"Sengoku... Garp... You've won this time."
"BUT, I AM THE WORLD DESTROYER! NO ONE STOPS ME FROM DOING WHAT I WANT!"
The sudden roar sent a chill down their spines.
True to his words, Byrnndi World transformed into a human missile, rocketing toward the Marine ship below.
Sengoku bellowed, his palm unleashing a devastating shockwave.
"EVEN IN DEATH, I'LL DRAG THAT BRAT DOWN WITH ME!"
"Moa Moa! Hundredfold Speed!"
Byrnndi World tanked Sengoku's shockwave head-on, his body accelerating to impossible velocity.
Garp's hurricane-inducing punch lashed out, but Byrnndi World was too fast. The hastily formed gale couldn't halt his charge.
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
Byrnndi World didn't slow. His body, sheathed in Armament Haki, smashed through whirlwinds and golden light alike.
"You old bastard! Why target me?!"
Hammer's heart lurched as he met Byrnndi World's murderous gaze.
Frostban materialized in his grip, stance defensive, but exhausted, he stood no chance.
"Moa Moa! Hundredfold Slash!"
Byrnndi World's fist slammed into Hammer, hurling him off the ship. Byrnndi World pursued mid-air, wrenching Frostbane from Hammer's grasp.
The Moa Moa Fruit activated, and the blade expanded a hundredfold.
A colossal sword descended upon Hammer.
"LET'S GO CRAZY TOGETHER!"
"NO ONE CAN SAVE YOU NOW! JOIN ME IN HELL!"
As Frostbane fell, Byrnndi World's face twisted in madness.
Hammer, unable to resist, stared at the looming blade with eerie calm and sorrow.
Memories flashed: every strike of his hammer, every ounce of passion poured into forging Frostnight.
How ironic, to die by the weapon he himself created.
Time seemed to freeze.
Hammer's body hung suspended mid-air. The blade halted inches from his chest.
A voice, heavy with reluctance, whispered in his ear:
"My master... Please destroy me..."
Hammer's eyes widened. "Who... who said that?!"
"Master... I am Frostbane..."
"Frostbane?! How... is this possible?"
"Do not grieve. Do not despair. Destroy me... and you shall be reborn!"
The words sent shockwaves through Hammer's mind. His eyes flickered with disbelief and resolve.
In the split second before death, Hammer did the unthinkable.
He spread his arms and let Frostbane pierce his chest.
A roar erupted from his throat:
"OLD BASTARD! THIS IS MY SWORD! YOU THINK YOU CAN USE IT AGAINST ME?!"
"YOU'D BETTER ASK IF IT ALLOWS YOU FIRST!"
"SHATTER, FROSTBANE! HAMMERING OF THE SOUL! CHEST-SHATTERING STRIKE!"
A deafening clang reverberated as shockwaves erupted from Hammer's chest.
Simultaneously, Hammering of the Soul, a hammer-strike resonating in every mind present, echoed across the battlefield.
None understood why Hammer had unleashed it now.
Frostbane blade splintered into countless fractures.
"Every weapon I forge carries my blood, sweat, and soul!"
"They embody my path as a smith!"
"Byrnndi World! Sleep forever in the ice, this ocean will be your grave!"
"FREEZE HIM SOLID, FROSTBANE!"
Hammer's agonized cry, thick with reluctant resolve, pierced the heavens.
The crushing weight of Hammering of the Soul surged into Frostbane's core.
"As you command... my master..."
"Congratulations... on stepping onto the path of a Master Craftsman..."
A storm of blade fragments erupted skyward.
An apocalyptic frost engulfed the air.
