Two months have passed just like that, bickering and fighting with each other and this day seemed to be in a repetition loop like all others.
"How dare you, a simple nobody talks to me in such language." Students were pouring out as soon as the class ended but the man standing at his 6'3 height with muscular stature towering over the petite frame of Aurora stopped her advances.
"Oh, I was going to ask you the same." The girl replied sarcastically before looking at the man who looked down at her face as if immersed in deep thoughts.
"Don't you have a sense of fear? How stubborn can you be...." his eyelids dropped as if in an illusionary state and before he knew, his knuckles were caressing her face like a feather in the fresh breeze.
"H-Hector......what are you.." Aurora disliked herself at the moment, why did her heart thrummed erratically for someone she hated. Why did it felt painful when he was too quiet as if she was afraid that he would disappear any moment.
"Aurora do you know why I hate you?" If anyone would see them at this moment Hector would deny ever touching Aurora, would say that he despised her and that she was an ugly creature but in reality, all those were just pretenses to hide the true treasure that he considered her.
Aurora trembled when his deep voice made warmth fill each pore of her body and could not understand why was he doing this.
"Because you are confident and considerate, you respect yourself and are the person which shines no matter where they go and I abhor it, hate the way I can never be like you. People like me that wish to trample over others to establish dominance dislike watching a person who knows their own worth and is the complete opposite of an insecure person like us and that is why I hate you."
He took a step forward making the beautiful fairy take a simultaneous step back with shock and astonishment evident in her eyes. She wanted to ask him why was he insecure, why did he do horrible things when he knew his wrongdoings but she dared not.
"I am the one that has no place for emotions Hector, you hate me and at the beginning the feeling was mutual but now I feel nothing, it's not attraction nor sympathy and simply not hatred...just an ounce of curiosity."
"Curiosity?" he chuckled heartily yet the sound was almost cold without any humor.
"I am nothing like your vibrant self, nothing enigmatic to pay attention to, yet for me, I am drawn to you even when you stand quiet and serene as if you do not need other people to pay attention to you, your careless attitude is what draws me to you like a moth to the flame but its dangerous.
Haven't I told you Aurora....disappear into the background and be a wallflower that seems invisible, haven't I said that I don't wish to see you so.....beautiful.."
Aurora did not know what to feel, should she feel resentment that he dared order her, the princess of the empire or she should feel worried as if his entire frame seemed to be trying to hide her from the people passing through the hallways
"What do you want from me Hector, you say you hate me but then try to help me at the same time, if I was not aware of how truly you are, I would have imagined that you are someone who has either completely changed or someone that I never truly knew. "
With her back against the wall and his muscular arms, both at the side of her face Hector closed up to the girl as if he was going to tell her a secret never whispered before.
"As I always say, know your place Aurora. Monsters have a tendency to look after their prey till it is dead, and for me, you are the most precious prey that I have ever seen, an enchanting one that stands out no matter how much I try to bury your existence.
The world is full of horrors and you do not have the power to deal with me, so it is my very last warning to you, a girl without a patronym....get out of my vision before my patience snaps and dare not appear in front of me ever. If you did not listen to me this time I will go after all the friends that you consider dear to your heart and make sure they suffer hell."
Aurora was raged to the point of her vision painting with vermillion. Not only did he dared to make her feel so confused but also threatened innocent people. Not everyone was her that could care less about his childish acts of bullying, many people lost their spirits due to such ill-treatment.
"Do you understand little queen." when there was no reply from her side for a moment as Aurora glared at Hector, he could not help but cup her face to ask her making the girl feel even more anguish and anger.
Getting out of his hold roughly she spat angry words at his face.
"You do not have to go after anyone! I was going to drop out of the school in three days even before you came here to threaten me, you do not have any conscience Hector Asis! I hate you!" The girl stormed out of the room feeling anger and an ounce of unknown pain that clenched her heart.
He wanted her gone.
But it shall not matter because emotions have never governed her, she will be the Empress that the world fears, and her throne was her first duty and she would eventually forget him.......wouldn't she?
