Martina smiled with her lips against his, after noticing he didn’t open up to it. She withdrew from the kiss and stared right into his eyes.
“I stole your first, didn’t I? I am worth one of those bullets now, right? Roberto was yet to recover from the shock. He stared at her blankly. Many things got him speechless. Her boldness, the way she kept his passionately with her eyes closed, the way she looked into his eyes, it was like she pierced his heart.
Roberto’s grip on her neck grew very weak, and she lowered herself to the pick gun. His hand fell off her neck, and she looked at him while she was still squatting.
Her eyes trailed up his legs and stopped on his Pelvic region.
“Get up!”
Roberto woke to his sense, and Martina sprang up to her feet. The look on his face wasn’t the blank, cute one anymore. He was fuming in anger.
Martina swallowed hard after seeing his face. She thought she had control over him already, but she was wrong.
“Did you just kiss me?” His voice came out in a threatening grumble, which made Martina move back fearfully.
“I… I thought you were going to like it.”
She kept moving back as the words fell out of her mouth in mumblings.
“You thought I’d like a slave’s kiss?!” This time his voice was loud and dark. Martina jumped in fright and her back hit the shelf. There was no other place she could move to. She was trapped.
Roberto got very close, and she shut her eyes very tight.
“I kissed you because I couldn’t resist your lips. They are full, and I wanted to have a taste of them. I’m sorry. Please don’t kill me.”
She fell on her knees and hugged his legs. He creased his brows and looked at her.
“What has gotten into her for f**k’s sake.” He thought.
“I said you should get up!”
Martina shook her head and kept embracing his legs. She smirked as she kept sobbing on his legs.
“If you are not up this next minute, this would be the last time you can try this rubbish with me.”
Martina jumped to her feet again and kept her head bowed. Roberto grabbed her chin with his right hand, ignoring the pain he felt. He squeezed her skin pretty hard and made her lips push out like she wanted to give him another kiss.
His eyes weakly fell from her eyes to her lips again. “There are so soft.” He thought to himself.
“Don’t you ever try that nonsense… ever again.” His eyes were still on her lips as he spoke. Martina tried to speak, but her chin was on fire already. He grabbed it so firm.
He threw her face away and walked to his bed. He clenched his jaw and turned to look at her one more time.
“Get out.”
Martina lowered her head and ran out with her hand around her chin. She got to the hallway and stuck her tongue in her inner cheek.
“Why is he so heartless? I thought he loved it too.” The guards at the door stared at her as she mumbled.
“What are you looking at?”
She walked down to her room, still swaying her hips like she did the first time.
Before she got to her room door, she saw Vincenzo heading to her room too.
“Vincenzo.” She called for no reason. She wasn’t sure what she was supposed to say to him after she called.
“Martina…” He moved closer to her, and after he saw red marks on her face, his eyes jutted out.
“… what happened to your face?” He tried touching her face, but she moved her face away.
“It’s nothing, Vincenzo.” She opened the door and scurried into the room.
“What? Don’t tell me it’s nothing. Did he hit you on the face?” Vincenzo hurriedly walked behind her.
“What if he did, Vincenzo? What if he hit me? What if he shot me? What if I die? What would you do about it? Nothing!” She yelled, and Vincenzo’s jaw slacked. He wasn’t expecting such a reply from her.
“Why do you hate me so much?” Vincenzo asked in a low tone, and Martina turned to look at me.
“What? Why would you even say that?” She asked in shock.
“Isn’t that the truth? You have never spoken nicely to me. You yell and say awful things to me because I don’t have the boldness to stand against the man I owe my life. I try to care for you, but you keep pushing me away. I have never hurt you. Why do you hate me so much?”
“I don’t hate you, okay? I just see no reason why I should care about you? You are Roberto’s personal assistant, you support every bad thing he does, because you are scared of losing your life. I understand you owe him your life, and he can take it anytime. But, don’t expect me to act like everything is okay with you, or anyone in this house. You all disgust me!”
Vincenzo’s eyes watered as he watched her speak. He had never been so hurt in his life.
“I was so stupid to think you were going to feel the same thing I feel for you.” His voice shook as he spoke.
Martina stared at him with tears in her eyes too.
“Vincenzo, I…”
“No, you don’t have to say anything. I understand you. You shouldn’t worry about me caring about you. I’d let you be. This is a stupid mistake.”
Tears streamed down his eyes, and he quickly turned to the door. He opened the door and walked out.
Martina sat on her bed and began to weep. She was beginning to regret the words she said to him. She never knew he had feelings for her. She wasn’t expecting him to feel anything for her.
“I’m sorry.” She mumbled in tears.
Vincenzo got into his room and slammed the door in anger.
He rested his back on the door, and fell to the ground in agony. He wept profusely, replaying all Martina said to him again.
“I will not bother you anymore. I promise.” He muttered hugging his legs to himself.
“I am so stupid.”
