I picked my suit from the ground and brushed the dirt away. Ivory successfully gave me a headache. I wore my suit again and walked back to work again.
"Your new girlfriend?" My friend, Corwin, asked.
"No."
"She's Ivory Evans and you're acting like one earlier." He teased.
"You saw that?"
"Everyone saw it." He chuckled and I massaged my forhead.
"She's giving me a headache."
"You wish she's more like Celine huh?" Corwin asked as he gave me a glass of champagne.
"Yeah, I wish."
"You need a girl like her, Leon." Corwin laughed.
"I need a girl like Celine, I can't stand handling Ivory." I hissed and then I took a sip.
"When you're with Celine, you always focus on your work. Even though she's here all day.. you acted like she was not here."
"That's the point, she can make me focus on my work." I said as I pointed my finger at Corwin and he laughed.
"That's what makes Ivory more charming. She can make you worried. Do you even notice how many times you turn your head to her?" I looked at Corwin annoyed.
"Celine is a nice girl. Proper, dressed nicely, well-mannered, understanding and the list goes on. She's too perfect for you, Leon. There's no flaws in her that you can fill." He added.
"I need a girl like her, Corwin. That's why I'm planning to marry her." I put down my glass of champagne because I'm not in the mood to drink right now. My blood pressure already went up.
"Nah, your life will be boring. Even us.. as your friend.. bored looking at you two." He laughed as he patted my back.
"I'm not blaming Celine for cheating at this point. We all know why she cheated." He smiled and then he left me. I took a really deep breath and let it out slowly.
It's not a good idea to invite Ivory to this kind of event. She will only give me headaches by arguing. I will never invite again after this.
Ivory Evans
I rolled my eyes when I saw Leon texting me asking where I am. I replied to him only with 3 letters which is BAR. He's annoying, how can he scold me like that? I'm not 3, I'm 23 years old.
He suddenly called me and I pressed the red button. He kept calling me again and again. I ended up pressing the green button and put him on speaker.
"Which bar?" He asked.
"No need to know!" I hissed.
"Ivy!" Why is he always calling me Ivy in that tone? Don't tell me that he's calling me Ivy when he's mad.
"Stop calling me!"
"You're acting like a kid, Ivy." He said and then he ended the call. I looked at my phone and threw it away completely pissed.
Next day..
"We're going to have a dinner tonight at Leon's restaurant." My dad said as he walked downstairs.
"I have work today." I said as I took my green juice.
"Ivory, we're going to have dinner with his family." My dad said and I ignored him.
"Ivory Evans." My mom warned.
"I'm busy today." I said and my dad looked at me angrily.
"Fine." I hissed and I took my bag to go to work. My chauffer already waiting for me and I got into the car. My chauffer drove me to work and I got out from the car when I arrived at the studio.
I have a perfume commercial today.
I worked non-stop for 7 hours. I saw my mom texted me to come to Leon's restaurant at 7.30 sharp. I ignored her text because I'm not in the mood to talk about Leon today.
"Are you done?" I jumped when I heard Leon's voice beside me. I almost fell down from my chair. I turned to Leon annoyed but I saw him wearing the belt that I gave him.
"What are you doing? Come to baby sit a kid?" I asked as I tried to hide my smile knowing that he's wearing the belt that I gave him.
"Come to pick the kid from work." He said and I turned to him glaring him hard.
"When will you done kid? Your parents asked me to pick you up." He said as he crossed his arms in front of his chest smirking at me. I got up from my chair and looked at him annoyed.
"What time did you come home 2 days ago?" He asked and I ignored him.
"I'm surprised that you never broke your ankle." He said and I ignored him.
"Here." He suddenly put a medium size box in front of me. I turned to him and he gestured me to open. I opened the box and saw chocolates inside of it.
"So.. what do you say kiddo? Forgive me?"
"If you call me a kid once again, I will.. I will.." I will what?
"Will what? Cancel the engagement?" He asked and I turned to him.
"I will never!"
"Then what will you do?" He smirked.
"I will stomp your feet with my highheels!" I hissed and suddenly the director called me to continue the part of the commercial. I put the chocolate box on my chair and glared at Leon before walking back to the set.
I focused on my work and after 30 minutes of shooting the last part, I'm done. I saw Leon smiling at me and gave me back the chocolate box.
"You did good.. now go change and let's have dinner." He said and I nodded. After I changed, I walked out from the changing room. I grabbed Leon's arm and we walked out from the studio. I grabbed a chocolate and put it into my mouth.
I felt Leon putting his suit on me and I turned to him glaring.
"Fashion? It's cold, Ivy." He said before I could protest.
"You always call me Ivy with that tone." I hissed.
"Because you're like a poison Ivy when you're acting like a kid." He said and I took off his suit throwing it back to him.
"It's called fashion for a reason, Leon. I'm a model, I show my curves to the world." I said and he sighed. He shook his head and then got into the car.
"He's sexy when he's mad." I mumbled to myself.
