Ashland Palace:
Morgan stirred in his sleep and felt the warm body of somebody close to him. Bringing whoever it was closer to his body, he relaxed in his sleep and breathed in the scent of the person. Morgan could have continued to sleep if not for a chuckle that sounded too close to him, too close for his liking. His eyes flew wide open and it met with Gwen's mischievous ones.
That was when he noticed he wasn't freezing to death, in fact, he was warm and was on his bed. His bed? How did he get to his bed? Did he sleepwalk? He hoped not.
"Oh don't even think too far, handsome, I carried you to the bed and I must say you have weight. You needed to see the way you were shivering on the cold floor and my good heart wouldn't allow you to freeze to death," Gwen said to him.
Morgan was out of his bed with lightning speed and looked down on himself and was relieved that what he wore was still intact.
"Come on, I wouldn't touch you even if I wanted to. I want you to be conscious when that eventually happen."
Morgan huffed out in annoyance and stormed out of his room pushing his guards away with force and headed straight for his mother's room.
He pushed the guards standing in front of her door and entered without knocking and saw his mother sleeping, he shook her roughly making Empress Rose eyes opening widely in fear.
Empress Rose was still sleeping and when she felt the hands of someone on her shoulder, shaking her almost out of her bed. When she opened her eyes in fear, her first thought was that it was Storm or one of his vagabonds who had sneaked into her room to kill her silently.
When she saw her son, she was relieved but when she saw the anger in his eyes, she became alarmed immediately and hurriedly left her bed to stand before him and touch his face.
"Storm?"
"I wish but no, it is that lady that came with him. She doesn't give me any privacy. She enters my room anytime. I am tired, mother. You are a woman and she is a woman, go and talk to her woman to woman if not I am going to kill her."
"No, don't do that my son. If not they will tag you as a woman killer. Do you know what they will say 'The first son of the late Emperor Ariadne is a killer' I don't want that for you. Now you have to decide and choose, is it Storm or the lady in question you want out of your way. Think very carefully Morgan," Empress Rose said to her son as she stared into his eyes. His anger is no longer there. "Let's remove him first before others, remember he did not come alone." she added.

The sun was out when they reached Ashland Palace.
"This place looks so familiar," Kira said almost to herself as they approached the gate of the palace. The guards stationed there were all staring at them, more intently at Kira.
"Who cares if this place looks familiar to you? I am thinking of how to draw the attention of everyone in the palace to us so please I did not want to hear one more word from you."
"You don't tell me what to do Kando, and I know how to get their attention," Kira said and without waiting to hear Kando's rude remark she went to one of the guards and smiled sweetly at him. "Please is this the Palace of Ashland?"
"Yes, who are you?" the guard asked, bringing out his sword. The lady standing in front of him was beautiful but he didn't want to be swayed by her beauty.
"I am a criminal and me and that rat over here wants to rob this Palace." Kira replied and swiftly collected his sword from him and stabbed him on his stomach and watched him fall down to the ground, clutching his stomach and staring at her in shock. Staring at the surprise look on the rest of the guards faces, she shrugged her shoulders and swung the blooded sword expertly in her hand. "So are you all going to keep staring at me or...." The rest of the guards all attacked her at once. One guard didn't, instead he ran inside the Palace to ring the big bell that one can only ring when there is an incursion in the Palace.
Soon all guards were laying on the ground either dead or barely alive. The sound of the bell echoing around them.
Dropping the sword stained with the guard's blood on the ground, and turned slightly to face Kando. There was no blood stain on her clothes.
"That is how you create an attention, Kando," she said. "Now the plan is for us to enter the palace, put up a little show by fighting them and then allow them catch us, by then we must have got the attention of the people we want." she added and went to the Palace gate to kick it open, she saw many guards running towards her and she felt the presence of Kando beside her.
"Let's kick some bu.tts."
