The Reagans moving out of their houses surprised her which had her thinking if they did it because of her. Sending him a court verdict proved impossible without a location and she wouldn't want to visit his company.

The newscaster seems to be adamant about it as she went as far as inviting Cynthia to an interview which had Kate balling her hands into a fist.
" I don't know who is spreading these rumors but my darling and I are trying to keep things private. Our love life is our privacy please respect that and about the child. I wouldn't say much but we're expecting one soon with your prayers of course" she smiled seeming like a fulfilled man.
" Isn't she crazy for announcing her relationship with a married man public? Kate stated unaffected.
" She's making your divorce easier. Infidelity is mostly considered in divorce" she hummed wondering if Alvin still had evidence of her infidelity.
" Hmm. Thanks anyway" she appreciated then left to get ready for the party. It was time to meet him perhaps she never might get to know Simon's grave.
Just to be sure she had her chauffeur take her to his former house and meant it locked. Though nothing had changed, a part of her was upset about his decision to vacate the house they spent most of their lives in whether they were happy or not didn't matter. It proved she meant nothing to him.

At The Gala Party
Kate eventually followed David to the party as his plus one for her reasons.
With the brightest smile, David welcomed her with his hands around her waist which alarmed the paparazzi who rushed forward for photos and interview which David refused.
Kate glared at him then walked away while he ran after her oblivious to the grey eyes staring at her.
Four years yet he couldn't get the picture of her out of his mind. He'd recognize her with his eyes closed. Her vibrant steps, the ass, her obsidian haircut, her enthralling figure he knew everything.
Subconsciously, he took four steps forward to be sure but stopped as he saw David running after her. Though he should be disappointed in her which he was he wanted to see how happy she was without him thus followed them which David noticed a while later as he caught up to Kate.
"Wait up. That wasn't my doing. I swear I didn't bring them here" he coaxed looking for a way to signal her that he was behind them.
" I'm tired of your games David. What do you want from me? He sighed then took a step closer to her
" You know what I want. It's you. Alvin is happy without you. You saw the interview right? Cynthia is his woman now. Give me a chance to prove my love to you. I met you first. He deceived you remember? We've been together for years, shouldn't that had meant something to you? Kate"
" Then fix this. Find Simon's gravesite. I can't find it. I want to talk to my son. It's the only reason I'm here "
" If I do, will you give me a chance? He coaxed holding her hands as she stepped back from him.
" I don't know. I'm a mess, David. Alvin has made me immune to men. I don't think I see you that way. It's not possible. David was dissatisfied with her response. Just how hard to get was she?
" I can change that. We can be friends with benefits for a start. Don't tell me you don't miss having sex? You need a man's touch" and that was about to earn him a slap which he caught smashing his lips on hers that had Alvin taking u turn out of there.
Kate was astounded by his sudden kiss thus kneed him in his groin as all effort to push him proved abortive which earned a scream and a chuckle from him.
" Damn. That was hard. I'm sorry I got carried away. You don't know how much I've been dying to do that" she opted to hit him but he dodged sliding to the side while she buffed in annoyance.
" Listen, Kate, I did it because..." He was caught short will a hit from her heels and yelped in pain.

" You're a bastard. Our friendship ends here. gosh" she has spoken wiping her lips over and over and over again which annoyed but he acted cool.
" I did so because he was behind us. Alvin followed you. I guess he recognized you" Kate squinted her eyes the veered around to check if he was telling the truth.
" Alvin is here? She asked which wiped the victoriously smirk from his face.
" I might have underestimated Cynthia but that's not the issue. That man is crazy about you. We can use that to our advantage"
" After you find my son David. I don't trust you anymore" she spoke like he didn't tell her about him.

In doubts, she tried confirming his speculation by taking the same stairs she took before which led her to the Hall but found no trace of him then her eyes darted to Cynthia's who was busy greeting guests like his wingman.
It didn't take long until Cynthia noticed her glares and snickered taking her into view.
Before her was a woman in her early thirties, black hair, glowing skin, firm boobs, figure six, beautiful and classy, and there was the aura around her that detects wealth.
She did the only thing she could do, walk away but Kate followed her to the side of the hall which was her reason for attending the party in the first place.
' I see you have switched professions or were you pretending to be a doctor to kill my son? Cynthia's face darkened from the accusations which suddenly turned into pity.

" Is that why you became David's mistress? His bedmate? A married woman? She yelled which called for the attention of the guest who was murmuring.
" I'm not his wife. What? Does becoming a mistress disgust you? Weren't you one when you invaded my home and slept with my husband on my matrimonial bed while I'm shunned? I don't think you have the right to judge me cos I have never seen a woman as useless as you. I was going to make it easier for you but I've changed my mind. You'll die a mistress even if he marries you" Cynthia eye's darkened with anger as she struggled for a comeback.
" You're a golddigger. Shame on you whore. It's a good thing your son died, who would want such an unfaithful mother? That was it as Kate lost her sense of reasoning bouncing on her.
In case you're wondering, it wasn't a chick fight but a brutal beating with punches and kicks and slashing. Security Men had to come to their rescue.
Alvin shook his head as he was watching the whole charade while David arrived surprised Kate had fought with Cynthia and crouched beside her.
" Are you okay? What happened?
' leave me alone" she yelled walking out on him while he grimed in satisfaction.
