Hunter's P.O.V
Today has been truly another frustrating day in my life and I am
honestly having an internal brain drain between my stomach and my head.
Chance stopped by the office and I sincerely don't know how, but he
convinced me to a night out with him.
Now I'm at the bar in a club drowning my self in various types of
liquor.
On a Monday night.
I have a feeling deep down, that I will regret this later.
" So what do you intend to do about Jules and Mason?"
Everyone keeps asking what I intend to do like I can do anything,
they're far too gone to bring back.
And he calls her Jules too? Wow.
" What do you think?" I gulped down another glass with it's flavor
stinging my throat as it went down.
I gestured to the bartender for another refill.
" Walk up to Mason? Try another end for this approach" he said
suggestively and I couldn't help but laugh.
" You're saying I should try to control Mason's heart after he's in
deep?, I couldn't even stop Iris from falling for him and she was
directly under my nose"
I saw this coming and I clearly told Iris to back off, but she didn't.
" You are not just going to sit back and watch right?" Chance actually
looks worried about the whole situation at hand, it's a shame I can't do
a thing.
" Chance look, I've tried my very best. I did all I could but it got me
nowhere. Right now, I resign. I have a lot more things to do with my
life than terminate her relationship" as much as it pained me to say it,
it is the truth.
" What? Dude you've worked far too long and hard just to give up now"
our glasses were handed back to us, full once again.
" I've made my choice" I swallow down my drink and request for another.
" No you have not. Bro, I think it's high time you spilled the juice to
them, Tell 'em the major reason why they can't work. At least for now"
Chance kept up his argument.
I laughed again and a lot louder this time.
I think these drinks are beginning to get to me because I never would
have reacted so loudly on a normal day.
" Hate to break it to you buddy, but they fucking know" I shugged
another shot and signalled for more.
" Okay, I swear I didn't tell anyone" he defended evoking another
laughing response from me.
" I know you didn't. Mason did"
" Mason?" He's only more confused than ever.
" Mason knew all along. So if that couldn't stop them what will?"
The music booming in the background fill my ears and I want nothing
more than to forget everything just for tonight.
I should be on my tenth or eleventh shot and a drowsy feeling whirls in
my head.
After a while, I had assumed Chance had dropped the topic but he
speaks on it again.
" Are you sure this isn't to spite you?"
" Huh?" Did I hear him say spite?
" Really, look at it. Mason knows your intents with his sister but
you're clearly hiding it from his Dad for a business deal, then he goes
after your secretary and making no effort to hide it despite the risks"
He had a point, a very big and useful point but it wasn't true.
I've watched them from afar, it looks realistic so far as I could
tell.
That's why I'm angry with her.
Despite everything I did she still went ahead and ruined my plans.
Being full blown happy while I try to piece together my remains.
" As much as I want to believe you, it's not true Chance. I've seen them
together"
He only nodded in affirmation knowing there's nothing else to say.
" Alright. So..." He swung an arm around my shoulder and directed my
body to look over at a spot. " That chic in a blue crop has been sending
lingering gazes this way" and he wiggled his brows at me.
I chuckled, glad that he had changed the subject and threw his arm off
me.
" Dude, I have eyes for only Michelle"
He laughed back as we began our night of fun.
While I wasted myself, he kept sober to flirt with anything in a skirt.

Iris's P.O.V.
It was only a few minutes after midnight when my phone woke me up from
my sleep.
The caller ID says Hunter, and I can't understand why Hunter will be
calling me at this hour from his bedroom.
Wait? Did he even come home last night?
" Hello?" Was the first thing I said after answering the call.
" Hello, Jules? Is that you? "
This isn't Hunter but the voice is awfully familiar.
" Err-Yes? Please who-" he didn't let me complete before interrupting.
" Oh good. It's Chance and I need your help"
Chance? With Hunter's phone? Needing my help by twelve eleven am?
" How may I help you?"
" Jules, Hunter is currently too drunk to drive and I need you to come
get him"
Drunk?
" He's drunk?"
" Yes he is and can you come quick? Please?"
" Why call me? Hunter and I aren't really in the best of terms at the
moment"
He's still with the attitude of last week by being unnecessarily angry
with me.
" It's not like you guys have good terms with each other" he mumbled.
" Fair point. So call someone else"
" No. You're the only person who can come take him home right now"
" What about you?"
" I'm catching a cab home. We used his car"
" What of Michelle?"
" Based on the information you already know, calling Michelle out at
this hour to come get Hunter is too suspicious"
He almost spat those words at me, so I believe Hunter let out a few
things to him.
" What about Dylan?" I asked again.
" He's not going to come" he replied bluntly like it's plain obvious.
" How do you know? He's here currently"
" Is the Dylan we are referring to the same as Hunter's cousin?"
" Yes"
" Then he won't turn up. Jules please"
" Whatever, where's the place?"
" Thanks love. Gerrit street, Louiton avenue. Sal Paulo's club"
" I'll be there" It almost didn't come out from my lip but it did.
" Hurry"
I groaned into the receiver before muttering a fine and closing up our
call.
I needed Edward to drive me to the venue cause I needed an escort to
such a place at this hour.
This is going to be a long night.
