A week passed. I had the best dad in the entire world, a wonderful stepmom, I was going to have a little brother and best of all, I was going to marry the love of my life and we were expecting a child.
For me, there was no greater happiness.
Demetrius was about to put me on a pedestal for how careful he was with me, not that he wasn't super careful before , but now he just left my side to go to work, and even asked my dad to put him a little period, not caring if he would earn less, to stay by my side.
He didn't say it with words, but he was afraid that something bad would happen again. My dad hired security and had cameras on the farm, everywhere.
With everything that happened, I needed to rest for another week before starting prenatal care because my pregnancy became at risk because I lost a lot of blood and it is really a miracle that my baby survived, despite not even having a shape yet.
We bought a device that could hear the baby's heartbeat and I did that several times a day, to make sure it was beating and Demetrio wanted to listen for hours when we were together. We even talked about what it would be like when he or she went to college.
I still had nightmares, I would wake up crying and sob for hours when no one was around, I tried to be strong but everything that happened to me, it left me completely broken, even though I was happy with my engagement and pregnancy, the trauma was something I didn't could control and avoid.
Apparently there was no more danger, Leonel was in a coma in the hospital, due to the state that Demétrio left him and Mariana behind bars. My own father was making sure to pay extra security to keep an eye on the two from afar, because it turned out that Leonel had help from two police officers in the escape, since he was also a police officer and bribed the two men with judicial secrets he knew.
One month later.
"Are you ready, dear?" Maria asked entering my room.
— Yeah, I was just finishing combing my hair, it's falling out. I smiled knowing why.
— It's normal, I say, I'm all swollen. She smiled and we left the room.
When I appeared at the top of the stairs, Demetrius ran up, skipping two steps at a time, and grabbed my arm.

— If I let him, Hector would carry me on his back. No, thank you. Maria smiled and walked down the stairs slowly.

"Where are my babies?" my father asked, entering the house in a good mood.
Maria and I made signs showing where they were, pointing to our bellies, and laughed. We walked to the car talking about names for the babies.
We arrived at the clinic for pregnant women in town, I filled out a form and said I had an appointment, Demétrio had done that.
I was sitting in a chair and Demetrius had his hand on my stomach, his head bent, putting his ear to my skin.
"Where's daddy's baby?" he joked softly.
A few minutes later, I heard my name called.
— Livia Garden! the doctor called.

The doctor gave me some basic information and then asked me to lift my shirt, Demétrio did it for me and the doctor applied a gel on my stomach.
"Hmm... Let's see." — he was silent for a few seconds and turned on another device, making strong beats echo through the room — Oh what a surprise, there are two!
- Two?! I gasped.
"Are you serious, Doctor?" Demetrius asked.
“It's two babies. the doctor stated.

My eyes filled with happy tears.
"Three kids at home, what more could I want?" - my father smiled kissing Maria who had a huge smile on her face and tears in her eyes.
"Congratulations my girl!" said Mary.
“Come back in two months so we can find out the sex of the babies.
In two months we returned there and were blessed with the news that we were having a girl and a boy, both were healthy and their hearts were beating vigorously.
We returned home happier than ever, Maria and I decided to prepare dinner to celebrate. We had dinner, happy and content because finally only good things were happening in our lives.
After dinner I felt a little nauseous and wanted to go up to my room with Demétrio, brush my teeth, take another shower with his help and put on some comfortable clothes to see if the discomfort went away .
"Come here..." Demetrius sat in the middle of the bed, leaned against the headboard, and pulled me onto his lap.
