Luke and Daisy entered the Robbery and Murder Department office together, inevitably drawing sidelong glances from their colleagues.
"Guys, good morning," Luke greeted them, in order to spare Daisy any embarrassment, he prepared to take her to the break room.
Upon arriving at the door of the break room and seeing shadows moving inside, he asked, "Who's in there?"
Jenny sighed, "Steven's mother came from out of town, and the captain is receiving her."
"OK," Luke led Daisy into the conference room.
"Have a seat here, I'll get you a glass of water," Luke patted her shoulder and left the conference room.
Marcus complained with dissatisfaction, "You're just too wicked, we've been up all night working on cases while you're out having a grand time."
"What are you talking about? My task last night was to protect Daisy."
Marcus, holding a cup, walked over and nudged Luke with his shoulder, "Come on, be honest, did you get in any 'exercise'?"
Luke looked helpless, "I was working too."
Marcus grinned, "Any conflicts there? You can work and 'exercise' together, right?"
Jenny made a face, "Hey, Marcus, your expression is truly disgusting. Even if Luke likes Daisy, it's not right to… what's the difference between that and taking advantage of someone?"
The deputy said, "I agree with Jenny's words, Marcus, show a little humanity."
Marcus spread his hands, "Why are you all ganging up on me?"
"Show a little humanity," Luke dropped the remark and carried the water back into the conference room.
Daisy asked curiously, "What were you all talking about outside?"
"They said you're pretty and complimented my good taste."
"Did you tell them about us?"
"I haven't said anything. But remember, this is the Detective Bureau, and they are the finest officers in Los Angeles…"
Daisy nodded with a touch of resignation.
The conference room door opened, and Susan walked in from outside.
"Miss Daisy, I apologize for the wait," she said.
Daisy stood up, "Captain Susan, thank you for arriving so promptly last night."
"No need for formalities, it's my duty. Please, take a seat," Susan gestured for her to sit and said in a serious manner,
"I'll first inform you about yesterday's inspection, the technicians found a camera in your study, but no other surveillance or wiretapping devices, and we've also collected biological traces, so you can go home today."
"Furthermore, judging from the angle of the camera, it was aimed directly at your safe. Was there anything valuable in there?"
"Some jewelry and documents."

After listening, Susan nodded, "Considering the interests involved, the client's family members do have a motive for the crime. Can you disclose the name of the testator and the specific content of the will?"
Daisy looked a bit uncomfortable, "Captain Susan, I'm personally willing to assist your department's work, and I can provide the client's name. However, due to professional reasons, I cannot disclose the contents of the will at the moment. I truly apologize."
"No, no, no, I understand, I would make the same decision myself," Susan, who was very much about rules and regulations, found no issue with Daisy's stance.
"You provide the client's information, and the police will investigate the related situations themselves. As long as there's evidence showing your experience is related to the will case, we'll apply for the necessary procedures to review the content of the will."
"Captain Susan, thank you for your understanding."
Daisy provided the identity of the testator, while Luke took notes on the side.
Half an hour later, Daisy left the Robbery and Murder Department.
Luke saw her off to her car, "What are your plans for today?"

Luke pressed the answer button, "Wow, boss Paul, didn't expect to get a call from you."
"Officer Luke, I'm honored that you kept my number."
"I just wanted to ask about Alyssa's case, she's an employee of my club, and I hope she can safely return to this big family."

"How's Alyssa doing? Any leads?"

Susan gathered everyone in the conference room for a meeting.

The deputy chief said, "I think Dave might have offed Steven already, probably buried in the Gobi."
Susan countered, "Do you have evidence?"
"If I had evidence, I wouldn't be sitting here." The deputy chief shrugged his shoulders, "And Tony, I think he's been offed by Dave too."
"Deputy Chief, you'll be in charge of the search for Steven and Tony," Susan cut him off, looking at Luke on the side,
"You introduce Daisy's case."
"On the night of March 3, Daisy was robbed, and I caught the suspect Tim on the spot. At the time, Tim claimed he was imitating the 'Stun Gun Robbery' and Daisy was his impromptu target.
In fact, it may not be so, as someone broke into Daisy's law firm office on March 2, plus the installment of surveillance last night, they are all likely connected.
