In a specially prepared talisman crafting room, Shen Wang’s talisman brush danced across the paper, swiftly forming a special P character, and instantly, a yellow light flashed, activating the Talisman.

Even though she heard them every night, Chunmei still trembled with fear, worried that the monsters outside would break in and devour her and her son.

A sharp sound of something scraping against the wall echoed from outside, especially jarring.
In the bedroom, Shen Wang held a Silver Radiance Talisman as he walked toward the source of the scratching sound.
"Husband, let it be. The dirty things outside can’t come in anyway."
Jia’Er called out, not wanting Shen Wang to take risks.
"Right, endure for now. Once we find something to eradicate the evil, we can deal with it then!"
Paper Kite was also inside, showing a worried expression.
"I have to see what exactly it is."
Shen Wang waved his hand, "You two stay here and protect Xue’Er."
After saying that, Shen Wang strode toward the northern wall, where a section of runes was now distinctly brighter.
Behind the wall, something was clawing, accompanied by beast-like roars.
Shen Wang performed a hand seal, with a puff, a Fireball condensed at his fingertip, quickly illuminating the surroundings.
At the same time, he took out a Silver Radiance Talisman and pasted it on himself, forming a circle of protection, the area around him growing even brighter.
In his other hand, he held a backup Fireball Talisman, ready as he approached the source of the noise.
Through the wall, the scratching sound became clearer, and Shen Wang could sense a cold aura standing outside the barrier.
He leaped onto the wall with ease, his Fireball in hand thrown directly at the thing outside the barrier.
A shadow was struck by the Fireball, exploding with a thunderous sound, emitting a wail as parts of its body were blown apart, revealing a monster covered in green fur.
In the flames, Shen Wang clearly saw this green-furred monster. Even with half its body charred black by the explosion, it struggled within the fire, its green-faced fangs and long black claws still visible.
"Green-haired Zombie!"
Shen Wang frowned; zombies were one of the evil spirits, categorized by strength into Green, Iron, Copper, and Flying Zombies. This green one was merely a freshly turned zombie, a low-grade specimen, unable to pass through this wall even without the protection of the Runes.
"Such low-grade creatures dare come here? Must be driven by that thing."
He looked into the darkness, his heart sinking slightly.
Indeed, that creature had intelligence, now aware to use physical entities like zombies to wear down and damage his defenses.
Shen Wang’s expression shifted continuously.
Under the Fireball’s power, the Green-haired Zombie didn’t last long before ceasing its struggles, burning away entirely.

Shen Wang remained calm, forming hand seals without haste.
The runes on the wall detected the evil spirits approaching, emitting a circle of Golden Light, shining on the zombies like blazing flames, setting their green fur ablaze as if scorched by intense flames.
The zombies halted in pain, falling to the foot of the wall.
Shen Wang flung the Fireball he had successfully condensed at his fingertips at one zombie, engulfing the others in its blast, igniting them together.
Just as he deemed these low-level zombies insignificant, a myriad of green, glowing eyes appeared in the night, a dozen more zombies wobbling forth.
Shen Wang’s pupils contracted, hastily forming hand seals with both hands, concentrating all his efforts as Fireballs quickly took shape and were hurled into the night sky to explode.
Only the first two zombies were blasted away, while the ones behind continued moving forward.

At this point, Shen Wang no longer had the luxury of savoring the benefits of his experience gains. The Spiritual Power within his Dantian surged forth, condensing Fireballs as swiftly as possible, casting them at the zombies.
A Fireball exploded on one zombie, igniting it.
Fortunately, the ancestral home shielded against these zombies, allowing Shen Wang to concentrate wholly on condensing Fireballs without worrying about his safety.
Three, five, ten... Ten consecutive rounds of the Fireball Technique were cast, rapidly depleting Shen Wang’s Spiritual Power from his Dantian, significantly draining his Fire Attribute Spiritual Power.

Shen Wang gritted his teeth, not expecting the ancestral home to be assaulted by zombies.
