I swallow hard as I feel the hotness of his body even as we are not touching. Slowly his hands trail up my own, up to my arm then my shoulder and then neck and up my ears and then he lowers his head and his mouth breath out an even hotter air into my right ear.
I quiver and try my best to put the emotions running through me under captivity because a greater part of me just want to reach out and hold him and tell him not to stop with the chaos he's creating within my being.
"Really?" His voice comes out rough, hard and raw and this seems to cause a spring of excitement to burst within me.
"If I didn't care what you want and I am just like the men you say, I would have tossed you on the couch and fucked your brains out."
My throat runs dry immediately at his savage word and the reply I think I had a while ago disappear and now I'm speechless.
He continues, in a soft and yet raw in its dept. "I'm not that type of guy, and though tempting as hell, I do care what you want." His hand swiftly turns me around and I'm facing him the next second. His hands settle on my waist, but he does not hurry to pull me to himself.
"If anything is going to happen between us, I do want you to want it too."
"Nothing is gonna happen between us, Mr Gate," I tell him in a cold voice, I make a weak movement around his arm, trying to escape out of his grip.
I hear him chuckling lowly and I glare at him. "You're really sure about that? 'Cause your body seems to be saying something else." He stated, in a daring tone of voice.
"Yes, I'm sure about it, now let me go." I hiss, pushing at his strong arms so it'll break loose, but failing terribly.
"Okay." He says, and let's go of my waist while I'm still struggling to free myself and I stumble back and fall to the floor unable to steady myself.
"Why did you do that?!" I exclaim loud and angrily in pain, pulling myself to sit down.
"Because you asked me to, hun." He replies and I can feel the stupid smirk that appears on his face.
My eyes slowly lift to find his face, tracing along his long, muscled, firm and tan legs, up along his lap and my eyes widen and my mouth drop as I wonder if what I'm seeing is the real thing, or if my glasses have enlarged my eyesight. He is well built there, and abominably huge, his size should be forbidden from creation for the benefit and sanity of people like me.
My eyes close momentarily when I realise he is looking at me while my eyes pry at his private-not-so-private part. My cheek warm up at the thought and my hands cover them up, but they have pulled away and I open my eyes to meet Rory's green ones intensely looking into mine.
"Like what you see?" He asks teasingly, and I almost roll my eyes at the truth before my eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself, I've seen better."
Have I?
I've only had the privilege of seeing three naked male in all my existence. Jason who is a little bigger than his middle and ring finger together, Mycole who is well designed with the weapon of pleasing women which even I doubt he even realise and Rory who seems to be bigger and thicker than the three, but unlike Mycole, knows what he has and make good boast of it.
"You blush like you haven't." He bluntly says and I grit my teeth.
"I blush whenever I see a naked man, it's not the first time." It isn't a complete lie, I've always blushed whenever I see someone in their naked glory so it isn't a new thing going red, although the reason I'm blushing now is different. "Put something on, Mr Gate, some people love to have their sanity in check you know."
He doesn't reply immediately, but he stays silent for a while and then begins to speak in a dull and wounded voice. "Do you even know how much I suffer whenever I hear your rejection?" As soon as he asks this, he withdraws his hand from my cheeks which almost makes me whine, gets up and goes to the couch and pick the blanket and then wraps it around himself before looking at me with less friendly eyes. "Happy now?"
What did I do?
I get up and cross my arm over my chest. "You think I'm happy because you covered up? My family hearing my voice and being assured that I'm okay is the only thing that's gonna make me happy."
"I can't do that even if I want to." His voice returns to the soft and tender way it was a few moments ago.
My face saddens even more. "Please I beg you. You can keep me here for as long as you like, but let me talk to my family."
"I'm sorry, I can't. At least not until I find out who was behind the shooting and until then, you will not be safe."
"What do you care about my safety?" I yell in annoyance.
"You're right, I don't. But I'd be stupid to let you put yourself and four others in danger."
My eyes cross and wonder in lost how he knows how many we are in the family, surely he can't just have guessed the actual number. In the world of people like me, coincidence does not happen and as much as I hate when people do that, it also scares me out.
"Have you been digging up things about me?"
As if that was the dumbest thing he's ever heard, his face narrows and he shakes his head as if he expected it. "I don't need to dig up things about you, Ms Snowfall, I know things about you."
"Like what?" A part of me doesn't want to know what he knows, but then another part wants to know.
He gives me a 'you don't want to know' look before walking out of the room.
I follow behind him, "I asked you a question, damn it."
He doesn't turn back, before answering. "Yeah, but then again you're not my mother."
"Thank heaven I'm not, I would have lost it if you were." I bark at him, Still following him behind. He enters the room and before I can say another word he closes the door to my face.
