Battle of Kings Part 1
Alex looked around and the new scenery left him confused, it was clear that he was still in the Spider Queen’s dungeon, but he wasn’t exactly supposed to be with the members of the Blue Spirit Guild.
His plan failed, and they were all dead? Looking at the countless corpses of mutant spiders scattered everywhere, perhaps that was possible, but then Alex convinced himself otherwise.
There were no human bodies here, could they have been killed and devoured by the spider queen? Alex looked at the only living person besides himself, perhaps he would give him the answers he sought.
The thought that Tiffany might be dead made him quite uncomfortable, he knew it wasn’t exactly his Tiffany, but his heart still ached inexplicably.
"King of Camelot, you’re awake." The stranger’s calm voice pulled Alex from his thoughts. He wasn’t surprised to be addressed this way.
In this world there were people who could see through the windows of another person’s system and some of them had the habit of treating other hunters by their height or by their authority.
"Who are you? And where are the other hunters?" Alex looked into the stranger’s eyes, they were completely black, revealing that the person before him was not human.
"My progenitor named me Hope, and I am a king, now about the other hunters you must be referring to the other humans, right?" The stranger declared arrogantly with both hands in his pocket.
"And where are the humans? Are they dead?" Alex asked, anticipation evident in his words.
The stranger gave what looked like an artificial smile.
"I devoured one of them, a female to be precise, as for the remaining 19, my warriors will bring them to me so I can elementate from their bodies" the words came out naturally as if it were the natural course of things.
Alex’s heart trembled. A female had been killed and devoured. Could it be Tiffany? Maybe, maybe not, what did he say? Will she feed on the other hunters?
"Are you what they call the spider queen? And why do you want to devour the hunters?"
"King of Camelot, can’t you see I’m a king and not a queen? I thought my appearance was no different from humans, but let me inform you, the spider queen used to be my progenitor before I devoured her, I am King Hope."
Hope said softly with no expression on her faces.
"Now that I have answered your useless questions, I will devour you and steal your secrets for myself, I hope you taste good unlike my progenitor who had bad taste"
With that said, Hope attacked Alex at high speed, thanks to all attributes being improved, Alex dodged smoothly.
If Hope had devoured the queen, that meant he had become the new boss of the dungeon and if Alex defeated him, he could go out to finally rescue his sister, the thought that maybe she was in a desperate situation makes him very uncomfortable.
This parallel reality had its own inherent crimes that were even more terrifying compared to the crimes of his old world.
Alex had to focus on the enemy in front of him, he had been so fast and precise that if it had been the Alex from before, he wouldn’t have had enough reaction to dodge in time, this so-called hope was truly formidable.

Hope smiled slightly, her blood boiling, stimulated by the royalty contained in Alex’s terrifying aura, her class resonated and a desire for battle ignited in her soul.
Hope did the same as Alex, her body was enveloped by the authority of gluttony and her royalty, a corrupted and domineering aura exploded from her body making the ground tremble.
His star level was higher than Alex’s, allowing the former to manifest more of his authority in the form of an aura than the latter.
While Alex’s aura gave a feeling of oppression and suffocation due to his gravity-like authority, Hope’s aura gave a feeling of corruption and being devoured, it was as if you would be devoured at any moment.
The aura of the two intensified more and more as their classes resonated with each other and repelled each other at the same time.
The two had the same reaction time and simultaneously their fists met in mid-flight, the collision of their energies caused the debris to be thrown in all directions, creating a circle around the two.
Alex felt his hands go numb as they both separated, neither of them suffering any harm.
Alex attacked, he propelled himself and gave a spinning kick concentrating all his strength attribute, 91 points of strength was no small thing, He felt his feet cutting through the air amplified by his agility.
The fight was fierce, Esperança had to use both hands crossed in an X to block Alex’s attack, and even then he retreated several feet back, unable to absorb the blow completely.

The sight was splendid, the two exchanged several blows, when it came to basic attributes, the two seemed quite evenly matched.
Hope was a level 3 star hunter, making his control over authority easier and more fluid compared to Alex who struggled to keep his aura at the same level as Hope’s.
Alex had never fought this way, just relying on his aura and base attributes, even if he wasn’t using Excalibur, he always had a sword in his hand, that was how he always fought.
This was essentially because Alex had never had to fight before, and when he came to this world he was forced to fight to survive, the system provided him with the swordsman class and he clung to it to fight.
But now Alex knew he had to evolve if he wanted to survive, he wouldn’t always have a sword to fight with, it would be good if he learned other combat styles.
Alex and Hope were not using their class and authority skills, and as the battle progressed it seemed like the kings were learning from each other, even though they both wanted each other’s lives.
Hope’s fist almost hit Alex’s face, it was an agile movement that he couldn’t avoid, gravitational defense took effect creating a barrier that stopped the fist before it hit his face.
